(S1) Solving a lover's quarrel

Moments or so, I'm now walking on the small hallway outside the room. Seeing the signboards with numbers hanging on each doors, and how people kept going in and out of the building from what I've observed from the window earlier, I can tell that this is an inn.

However, I wonder why a demon lord is in such place? My guesses are that, this is a part that hasn't been shown in the game yet, or perhaps, I'm just a carbon copy of him. For me, the latter makes more sense.

Rorogan, in the lore, unlike the other demon lords who just sits on their throne, chose the strategy of killing the hero while he's still weak, so he's the strongest boss in the earliest stage. Though, he gets overpowered by the mc's plot armor. Still, Rorogan makes it out alive until the latest update before I died, so I'm not in danger yet, I suppose.

Wait, maybe he's here with a plan of killing the chosen one immediately the moment the sword gets pulled out? Or don't tell me he's the one who killed the mc's mother? There are indeed chances, but it was clearly stated that it was perpetrated by a human assasin...

Oh well, whatever.

As I headed down the stairs, I can hear some quarrels so I halted and watched.

"Hey! stop harassing her!"

"Now you're saying that!? Is my title, reputation, and my C-rank adventurer's card nothing to you!?

"You're not doing anything good!"

"ME!? WHO DID EVERYTHING FOR THE PARTY!? AND NOW THIS IS WHAT I GET IN EXCHANGE!?

"Jake, we're really thankful for everything you've done, but this is enough."

"THIS IS ENOUGH!? WE WOULDN'T BE ABLE REACH AS A C-RANK PARTY WITHOUT ME! AND HE'S JUST A D-RANK SO WHY ARE YOU SIDING HIM!?"

Seems like some adventurer wearing cheap equipments, is arguing with another lame looking adventurer who's protecting a girl behind him. There are others witnessing the scene, but they all stayed silent.

Looking at the three are rather pathetic, but what peaked my interest is that green name tag Jake: Lvl14 above that aggressive adventurer's head, and he's the only one who has it. This only means one thing, he can be punched.

Every enemy has an indication about their difficulty. If the name tag is green, then their level is way lower than you so it's weak. Orange tag means normal, while red ones is where you probably need to run for.

Normally, there aren't any enemies inside a town. However, a rare occurrence where an npc is spotted to have a name tag, you can arrest them so that you can receive a small reward. Well, it's not that great.

As for Jake's case, I'll just refrain from arresting him. I mean, this is not a game anymore so doing that all of a sudden would not work, I guess.

"Hmm, if I intervened and put up a heroic act, I'll gain much attention. Isn't this a perfect opportunity to start spreading my existence to the people?"

That's right! If I make them quiet, everything will be peaceful, and I'll be recognized. I can also test some things this way. But how should I really intervene though. I can't be sure who's in the wrong side so, I'll just find the perfect timing...!!!

"...nevermind, I'll just kill you!"

"Huh!"

Jake suddenly unsheathed his sword and was about to stab him. Without further ado, I immediately threw an electric violet orb that appeared on my hand out of nowhere, destroying his sword into pieces.

What I used is only Rorogan's basic attack, but seriously, that could've killed him. I don't have plans on being infamous for homicide yet. I'll need to be careful from using such a basic attack.

"Oy, was what that?"

"I don't know, but to destroy an expensive sword in one hit..."

"Who's that?"

As I expected, everyone averted their attention on me with shocked faces. I can use strong magic like in the game. This is exactly what I want! Ehehehehe—ahem.

"Leave, if you don't want to experience what happened to your sword. A trash personality who's a mere level fourteen doesn't deserve my presence."

I ordered in a cold manner. How's that? I feel like I acted as Rorogan very well. Of course, this is just temporary since I'm still supposed to be a demon lord.
