Chapter 4:

(S1) I am standing out!

After reincarnating as the weakest demon lord, I decided to stand out.

The most shocked person here is of course, that Jake. His eyes bewilderedly stared at his broken toy. Don't worry man, it's just a two star sword, the only use of that is to be fed on a better sword for enhancement.

"...did you just tried to stab me?"

"My sword...I just bought it for twenty thousand sinkos..."

Hearing the latter sentence, some slightly drunk thugs holding large mugs of beer commented in ridicule. They sounded like they're talking as loudly as possible. Well, seeing them gets me tempted to have a drink.

"Twenty thousand? That's insane amount of passion kid!"

"Hoh! Their money must've all gone to that thing. That's probably why he's been causing too much trouble cause he doesn't have money."

"Also, no wonder why Anna and Paul doesn't want to be partied with him anymore."

" Still, that mister doesn't seem like he's from here with those clothes. But better not mess up with him."

Ok, seems like he has some pretty bad relationship with others, and sweet that I'm not getting underestimated.

Actually, twenty thousand is indeed considered quite large if we're talking about an average npc's capabilities.

Well here me out motherf*ckers, I have more than fourteen million in my account! I could have thirty million more sinkos if I didn't wasted most of it upgrading Igraine who I didn't even get a chance to use before dying.

Oh, by the way, even though it's already obvious, Sinko is the currency used in the whole of Arteriae, this world. Sinko coins only has a single type so it's not confusing.

It was later revealed that the 2nd demon lord, a step below the highest and strongest, created sinko. Demons surely are wiser than humans.

"This is not-"

Jake tried rebutting, but he couldn't complete his sentence when the lame looking adventurer, I'm assuming his name is Paul from what I heard, pointed a dagger at him. He then furiously glared at me. How scary. Seeing so, I replied with a little mockery on my tone.

"Do you need any assistance to express your thoughts?"

"...tch."

He clicked his tongue and frowned. Few seconds after him not saying anything, he turned around and was about to leave, but he looked back and called a name. "...Anna."

The Anna in question, a bow user and an adventurer as well, playfully hid behind Paul. Is that her normal behavior or she's somehow a b*tch? I don't know.

Well, the Jake, giving up, slowly walked towards the entrance door. However, before he goes out, I had a thought of something rather...interesting.

"System."

I immediately checked for the inventory and clicked a specific item, ignoring how much of a mess it is right now. I'm adopting faster than I thought. Well, I'll arrange it a bit later, but firstly-

Vision's compass-a tracking device that requires the Vision's eye to work. It guides the user to the chosen mark with a fog of mana. Limit is exactly twenty four hours. Specifically dedicated for 'The palace in the sky quest'.
An item that got accidentally dropped from the sky. It is said that the Vision's compass is something that a god proudly made. The compass was later then picked up by a mortal. However, the mortal deemed it as useless. The god enraged so he gifted him the Vision's eye for him to be able to see its true worth, a normal eye isn't the same as a god's afterall
.

"Vision's eye."

[Please state your target] Another screen popped up. Good thing only I can see it.

"Jake."

As I said his name, a blue arrow appeared above him. Just at the right timing before he exited the inn. Like I thought, this item will work really well in real life.

The same as what the item's description says, it's a tracking devise. As to the reason why I used it to Jake? Well, I decided that I want to experience killing a person with my own hands. So I will teach him another lesson later.
