On the scene of the emergency... multiple screams were heard while a few were trapped within the swarm of giant hornets itself which are currently stinging anybody who comes their way. The battle formations were in disarray with some of the vanguard trying to slay some of them using swords without knowing that they won't even beat something like that without magic.

The mages that were accompanying them meanwhile were spraying Combat-class magic spells at the hornet swarm itself. Around 20 people were trying to combat the swarm not knowing that the Hornet Queen itself could do magic.

[Wh-Wha?! AAAAAH! IT STINGS!]

[Don't panic everyone! Mages! Just focus on widespread firing!]

[AAAAAAH I CAN'T DO IT ANYMORE! THIS IS UNBEATABLE!]

[Anyone! Call Dario-sama!!]

[Wait, boss! We're detecting 4 individuals approaching us!]

As the for of us were just a few hundred meits away from the swarm, the swarm of mana that's being detected using my Elemental Sight just got clearer into multiple hundreds...? no... around multiple thousands of tiny objects with a large shining green mana that's positioned on the tree itself...

When I used Deep Appraisal on it, my view got swarmed with the identification itself being called "Forest Hornets", and they were a level 15 or around D-rank threat so I think that it's quite easier to deal with in one-to-one. 

Though a swarm of it would prove almost dangerous as they are a B-rank threat. But with what I'm detecting on that shining green mana on the center of that swarm... its identification was called "Queen of the Forest Hornets". And the level...? It's Level 35... An A-rank threat...

[Seriously?! Are you sure about that, Emi-chan?!]

[Yes, Mama! It's true!]

[If that's what Emi-chan's saying, then they are! They're inbound! Ready yourselves, everyone!]

As we were approaching the area now, a bunch of the Forest Hornets immediately went to target us.

[Oh no, you don't! <Barrier Master>!]

[O'fire, burn our enemies into cinders. Fire Cannon!]

Sophia-san immediately went in front of us as she pulled up her shield in front of us four a large magic circle appeared on the front of her shield which shone a large light blue hemispherical light that enveloped our group.

At the same time, Eric-san already had an arrow that's on his bow. As he pulled the arrow to the bowstring, the arrow glows up to an orange glow with the tip now starting to burn like a fire. 

When he lets go of the bowstring, the arrow turns into a large fire-elemental magic power that looked as if he fired a fire cannon from his bow, burning down almost all of the Forest Hornets that are attacking us into cinders.

Before I could even respond to the remaining ones that are going to attack us...

[Endowment Magic, activate. Fire and Wind. Inferno-Style. Double-Cross Blade of Fire!]

Mama Clara's magic came into my view from behind as a cross-shaped flame got out from her magical sword and immediately hits the remaining Forest Hornets, thereby creating an explosion that subsequently killed off the others.

Like holy sh*t... I'm quite astounded by the spell that she did I fazed off a little bit before being patted by Mama Clara on my shoulders.

[Emi-chan! Let's go!]

[Eh? Ah! Yeah!]

As the four of us ran a little bit, we then arrived at what seemed to be an open space inside the forest where the swarm is which grew quite a lot but also dispersed as well. 

This is pretty dangerous... But I think I know what I should do now!

[Emi-chan! Try to fire an Intermediate-class Fire Magic to the swarm! Sophia, protect her!]

[Yes, Mama!]

[Yes!]

As I said that, Sophia-san went in front of me to shield me as Mama Clara and Eric-san immediately started to run towards the other hunters who were just a few blocks from us as I started formulating the Intermediate-class Magic that I can do with my Thought Acceleration enabled...

Should I just use the usual spells...? I don't think that a simple <Hell's Flare> would do the trick, I guess...? No... Let's try it for now since I can't use my Chantless Casting on an Intermediate-level spell...

[I heed Samael's name, for I thee wish and borrow. To kindle fire as hot as thee love. To engulf those who are not worthy of the love. Incinerate these targets in front of me.

As I uttered those chants and rose both my hands in front of me, two large magic circles on both the ground and above the swarm immediately appeared with 12 chains keeping them together. 

The scene then turns somewhat akin to the typical fantasy magic scenes that I watch in countless anime in which the air inside the magic circle has started to engulf everything inside it into hellish flames that even I could feel its warmth of. 

It lasted for about an entire minute before I could feel some lightheadedness so I immediately broke off the spell afterward as I struggled to even stand up on my two legs.

[Urgh... Intermediate-class spells are quite exhausting...]

I immediately broke off my Optical Concealment Magic and my Magic Power Operation as well to try and conserve my MP which turned my body back to my child-like appearance, but it seems that it wasn't enough for me to recover with my Maximum Mana Regeneration skill.

[Sophia...san...]

[Emi-chan?!]

After that, it seems that the struggle for my mind to stay conscious has got the better of me as I have now fallen unconscious on Sophia-san's cool armor with the last thing I can hear being Sophia-san's concerned voice and a familiar voice saying these words on my head.

When I woke up, I was standing around a familiar scenery of the city of Celeste at night with a familiar attire that I usually wear which is my maid outfit, but the atmosphere around me seems to be quite hot as numerous buildings around me started to burn with objects that somewhat looked like meteors falling down from the sky.

There were also multiple lights being shone down on multiple places from above, so when I looked up in the sky, I saw multiple figures of what seemed to be flying dirigible airships that I often see in history books of the early 20th century. 

A lot of people were running from the burning buildings with some being trapped within the building, burning themselves to death, while some of the buildings started crumbling due to the fires themselves... and a lot of people running away from the flames...

[Airships?! But why?!?! Why are you doing this?!?!]

But before I could even question myself on it, I can see that the origin of the said meteors was actually from the airships themselves. After that, their lights now have repointed themselves towards a distant place that's in the center of the city... no way... are they going to target the mansion next?!

[I need to go there, now!]

I said as I went towards the mansion which was just around a few blocks away from my current location.

Before I knew it, I arrived at the front of the mansion of the Celestia Duchy only to find the second floor of the place itself burning up. And there were also a lot of dead bodies of knights and maids around the front lawn of the mansion so I immediately tried to look over from the inside of the mansion.

When I entered the front door of the house, I can see the heads of Clarence and Mama Diana severed from their bodies on the ground had blood flowing out from their bodies. 

I didn't notice it myself, but my eyes teared up uncontrollably as I went to the two of them, kneeling on the ground filled with their blood.

[No way... Mama Diana...? Clarence...?]

[E-Emilia...]

A familiar voice came from behind so I immediately turned around, and before I knew it, I saw Mama Clara and Papa Edmund who was both dirtied with blood seems to have got a lot of stab wounds around their body from swords...

[D-Didn't I... t-tell you to l-leave...?]

[I-If you... s-stayed here... y-you won't... s... s-survive...]

The two of them uttered as I immediately ran towards the two of them, they dropped to the ground without me catching up to them... W-What in the world d-did, I do?! W-Why did t-this happen?!

Before I knew it, I felt as if something sliced up my neck as my world rotated around my eyesight as if my head fell off... when my head impacts the ground, my vision goes to black...

And then when I woke up on Mama Clara's lap inside what seemed to be a carriage, I can feel as if I have tears flowing outside my eyes with Mama Clara's worried expression now getting clearer in my sight.

It seems that I've just experienced my first nightmare in quite a long while...
