Precap

Sakura: “I have to go to the Supermarket first and then the bank before going to School”

Aradia: “Oh okay. Want me to come with you?”

Guy at the café: “Hey, did you hear, some gang has held a bank hostage”

Aradia: “WHAT?”

*Tries to go inside and is stopped by a guy*

Guy: “Stop! I can’t let you go inside! Just trust the process! Everyone will be fine!”

Aradia: “Fuck the process! My sister is inside! I have to know if she’s okay”

*ARU (Arms Response Unit) arrive and take over; Sakura comes out safely*

*Sakura and Aradia hug and are about to leave when a final gunshot is heard*

Aradia: “SAKURA*

Blank Screen

“SAKURA” I yelled as she dropped down, blood pouring from her stomach.

I saw the guy that had shot my little sister and charged towards him ripping him away from the police officers, grabbing him from his throat and lifted him off the ground before slamming him back down.

“You son of a bitch!” I screamed in his face, I saw my reflection through a window and saw that my eyes were red, I was going to blow my cover, show all these people I was the devil but I didn’t give a shit!

I looked down at the guy who was screaming and crying in fear. Looking at him in that state gave me a sense of satisfaction. He started begging and cowering back as I towered over him, times like this I wish I could bring Hell onto Humans who deserved it.

“I am going to kill you, you…”

“A-aradia-san” I heard Sakura say and left the guy for the police to handle before I went back to her.

“No! No! No! Nothing will happen to you, I promise” I panicked as I applied pressure to the wound, I saw Sakura closing her eyes.

“No don’t! Don’t close your eyes!” I begged.

“A-ardia-san I h-have to tell you something” she croaked.

“Shh, no don’t talk, someone help!” I begged anyone around me to help but they were too busy with their own damn things.

“N-no I just wanted.. to say that… I love you.. you were like the sister I never had…”

Tears were rolling down my cheeks as my hands were covered in her blood, I won’t let anything happen to her, I can’t! I won’t! She was gasping for breath before I saw her soul leave her body, her hand fell limp and her eyes closed.

“NO!” I screamed looking up, the clear blue sky changed drastically as thunder was heard, lightning struck and rain was pouring down.

I positioned her on the ground and stood up, the ground becoming a crimson colour because of her blood, the smell of metal hovering in the atmosphere. I felt dizzy, my vision was blurry, I never felt like this before.

The paramedics came and took her. Everyone left. I was standing there alone. I slowly made my way back home and struggled to open the door, once I managed to, I walked inside and took my shoes off placing them neatly on the rack that Sakura had and used to always scold me when I didn’t put my shoes on it.

I ran my hands through my hair when I noticed blood on them, my breathing became rapid as I ran to the kitchen and washed my hands, scrubbing them with my nails until they were raw. I turned the tap off and leaned against the counter dropping to the ground.

Why? Why did this happen?

My body shook violently with my sobs. I sniffed and wiped the snot off my nose with the back of my hand before I tucked my hair behind me ears and folded my hands together. I felt a sudden calm and heard the flap of wings before I opened my eyes. Uncle Amenadiel stood in front of me.

I ran up to him when he opened his arms. Placing my head on his chest I cried, his t-shirt was covered with my tears and snot before I pulled away.

“Shh, Aradia, wipe your tears, sweetheart. No point in crying” Amenadiel told me as he patted my head.

“She was like a little sister to me. What did she do to deserve such a cruel punishment?” I asked.

“You know how these things work, Aradia” he told me while smoothing my hair and I nodded.

“Besides it’s for the best” he adds as I step back looking at him.

“What?” I asked.

“Come on Aradia. You were spending so much time with this Human you forgot what you came here for. To find Lucifer and bring him back home” he told me.

My hands curled into fists, “First of all, Uncle, her name is Sakura not ‘this Human!’ And Secondly she meant everything to me!”

“Oh come on Aradia. What did you know about her? You’ve only been here a month” he told me.

“That is none of your concern! Besides she treated me like family! Unlike the place you want me to bring Dad back to THIS place actually felt like Home!” I grit.

“Come on, Aradia. You don’t mean that!” he says to me.

“I meant every word! And what did you say? That I forgot what I was here for to find Dad and bring him home? Is that ALL I am to you? A medium to bring the actual King of Hell back home?” I asked folding my arms.

“That’s not what I meant” he says and I give him a look.

“Oh really? Then pray tell, Uncle. What did you mean, hmm?” I asked.

He looked at me in silence for a few minutes.

“Hmm. What I thought” I told him and paced around for a few minutes.

“Look I made a mistake and…”

“Yes. You did make a mistake you should be looking for Lucifer not playing around like this, Aradia” he cuts me off.

“First of all, you know better than to cut me off, Uncle. And secondly, I meant I made a mistake in calling for you, you should go back!” I tell him.

“Fine. But if you need me again just call me”

“Trust me, Uncle after today you would be the LAST person I call” I spat in anger.

He looked a little hurt at my sudden outburst as he should. How could he say that about her? He left as fast as he came.

I walked upstairs and sat on my bed. I was wishing this was all a nightmare and I was gonna wake up with Sakura looking at me with that cute smile she always had. I lay down on my bed and closed my eyes for a few minutes.

I woke up after hearing a knock on the door.

Oh please God!

I was praying in my head as I raced down and opened the door, “Sakura-chan you..”

“Hi” I saw that guy who had stopped me from entering the bank earlier on.

“Oh. Hi” I replied and stood at the door, “Can I help you?”

“I’m so sorry, I just wanted to make sure you were okay.. I saw what happened” he told me.

“You were there?! And you never thought of helping?! My sister was dying in my arms and you stood there?” I started firing these questions at him in rage.

“Whoa! I tried to help I was just occupied” he sighed and was about to take something from behind him that I stepped back to reach for the baseball bat we keep behind the door.

“Relax please, I won’t hurt you” he told me

Mate you can’t hurt me even if you tried

“I’m a detective” he said showing me his badge.

“Amano Kai” I read out his name.

“Well, Detective, what brings you here?” I asked.

“I told you. I’m here to make sure you were okay, after what you just witnessed I can’t imagine the trauma you must be going through. Not to mention your sister, my condolences” he says looking down.

“Thank you” I whisper looking down at my feet.

I looked up at him and noticed something was up.

“There is something else” he says clearing his throat while shifting his weight between his feet.

“What?” I asked.

“We found out that the guy who killed your sister was part of a gang. They managed to attack our vehicle carrying their members and get them back so…”

“So you’re telling me my sister’s killers are free?” I gritted.

He nodded a little as I ran my hand through my hair in anger, I punched the wall making the guy flinch.

I then realised something, “You’re a detective so maybe you can help me with something” I say.

“I can try” he nods.

“Come in” I say as he follows me in.

I hear him close the door and follow me to the living room, “Sit” I say.

He raises his eyebrow and a slight smirk appears on his lips before he sits down.

“So we both know what happened is not okay, and justice needs to be served” I tell him.

“I agree”

“So help me get justice! Help me get my sister’s killer!” I tell him.

“How? There are…”

“A favour for a favour” I tell him.

“I can tell his gang is bothering you. You really want to catch them don’t you?” I asked.

He nods and stands up quickly, I can feel his slight rage from here, “I would do ANYTHING to catch those bastards!” he tells me.

I smile a little, “Good, so I will help you catch those guys, and you will help me with my little dilemma”

“What dilemma?”

“Detective, I need help looking for my Dad, so while I am looking for that gang, you can look for him” I explain.

He thinks for a few minutes, before looking at me, “Okay” he says.

I look up at him surprised, “Really?”

“Yes really. But I can’t let you track them alone. They’re not just any gang we’re talking about Mafia. The ‘Scorpions’ are the biggest Mafias in Tokyo. Dealing with them is like dealing with the Devil himself…”

At that statement I couldn’t help but snort, “I’m sorry did you just say and I quote, ‘Dealing with them is like dealing with the Devil himself?’” I asked before I burst out laughing.

Oh, Detective, if only you knew who you and they are dealing with

“A-are you laughing?” he asked me surprised.

I stopped laughing and looked at him.

Shit! Quick Aradia think of something

“Oh.. uh.. after the death of my sister I’m feeling a little…”

“Oh.. right, of course, apologises for dropping in on you at such a tragic time” he says sadly.

“It’s okay, so are you going to help me?” I ask.

“I already agreed to this, Miss” he smiles.

“Please, call me Aradia” I tell him.

He looks at me a little surprised, “Are you sure?” he asks.

I nod and smile a little, “Please, don’t be formal with me Detective if we’re gonna be partners then formality is not necessary”

“As you wish Aradia-san”

“But I have a small request”

“What’s that?” he asks me

“When we find them you will let me punish them my own way before sending them to prison. I promise not to kill them, I just want to avenge my sister” I say looking down.

“Only if you don’t take all the fun” he whispers making me look up, he gives me a small wink that sends shivers down my spine and heat rise to my cheeks.

“Deal” I say and put my hand out which he shakes, a sinister smile on both our faces.

Well Detective this looks like the start of a beautiful partnership and I promise Sakura, I will find out who did this to you and bring Hell onto them myself.
