Aradia: “No don’t! Don’t close your eyes!”

Sakura: “A-ardia-san I h-have to tell you something”

Aradia: “Shh, no don’t talk, someone help!”

Sakura: “N-no I just wanted.. to say that… I love you.. you were like the sister I never had…”

Aradia: “NO!”

*She goes home and summons her Uncle*

Amenadiel: “Shh, Aradia, wipe your tears, sweetheart. No point in crying”

Aradia: “She was like a little sister to me. What did she do to deserve such a cruel punishment?”

Amenadiel: “You know how these things work, Aradia”

Amenadiel: “Besides it’s for the best”

Aradia: “First of all, Uncle, her name is Sakura not ‘this Human!’”

*Amenadiel and Aradia argue before he leaves*

*The detective shows up*

Aradia: “Amano Kai”

Detective: “We found out that the guy who killed your sister was part of a gang. They managed to attack our vehicle carrying their members and get them back so…”

Aradia: “So help me get justice! Help me get my sister’s killer!”

Today the Detective has asked me to meet him at a coffee shop, he has some intel on the gang and wants to tell me. Only then will we proceed with everything else. He’s a little worried about… everything and wants to do everything by the book- which is fine with me as long as I can make the killer suffer in the most brutal way possible.

I park my convertible outside and make my way in. I take my sunglasses off placing them in the inner pocket of my jacket before looking around, that’s when I spot the detective.

“Detective” I call out but as I near the table.

“Morning, Aradia-san” he replies with a small smile before taking a sip of his black coffee.

Seriously? How can people drink that? I’m more of a tea girl anyway

“Morning” I smile and pull up a chair, “So, what do we have?”

“Okay so I have done some intense research since our last meeting, and I have found this bar they go to” he says turning a file in my direction, a picture is stuck in the page with the help of a paperclip. The name of the bar is ‘Ace of Spades’

“Nice” I say looking up at him.

“Mhm” he nods and takes the folder back.

“So what’s the plan?

“The plan is that I have absolutely no idea what to do next” he tells me honestly.

I look at him blankly as I start to absorb what he’s saying, once it’s in my system I try not to explode all over him.

“So you’re telling me, you have no plan whatsoever?” I grit.

He looks at me sheepishly before smiling showing me all his teeth and giving a small shrug.

Man, I want to lob HIS head off first!

Just then it hit me, “Lightbulb!” I say as I always do when I have an idea.

“What?” he asks.

I grin, “What we need is bait”

“Allow me to explain, see bait is when…”

“I know what bait is I’m a cop!” he whisper-yells

“Good. That’s half of my time saved” I grin as he shakes his head with a slight eyeroll, he reaches over for his coffee and sips while looking at me expectantly.

“Well get on with it then! I have places to be and bad guys to catch!” he tells me sternly.

Ooh I like a man with a firm hand

I smirk before continuing, “So what I was gonna say is we need bait, and who will that bait be? Me!”

He looks at me as if waiting to continue when I don’t he then speaks up.

“Absolutely not!”

What?! Did he just reject my idea without a thought?

“Why?” I ask.

“Why? Because its extremely dangerous! One wrong move and you’re dead” he says making a gun with his fingers and putting them on my head imitating a shot before sitting back.

Babe, if only you know who you’re dealing with.

“Don’t worry about that. They won’t harm me” I tell him.

He looks at me for a minute before exhaling slowly, “Fine. It’s your funeral” he says and I laugh.

“What’s so funny?” he proceeds to ask. He leans back, arms folded, eyebrows shot up.

“Nothing. You really think they’ll be able to kill me? Trust me they won’t be able to harm me even if they tried. One of the perks of being immortal” I wink while whispering after making sure that no one heard us.

The detective looked at me for a few seconds before bursting out laughing, I frown as I watch him hold his stomach.

“That’s cute, kid. Immortal” he says as I roll my eyes.

“Did you just call me kid? We’re the same age!”

“Sometimes our conversations make me wonder whether I’m talking to a 26-year-old or a child” he smirked.

“26? I am 20!” I gasp.

“Ahh! That makes more sense” he winked.

Ooh sometimes he just makes me… argh! Wait he’s 26? Damn! He doesn’t look a day over 22

“Whatever! Anyways it’s the truth! Look, I didn’t want to tell anyone but I am immortal” I tell him.

“Oh yeah? Let me guess your Dad is God?” he asks smugly.

“No. He’s my grandad” I shrug.

Once again he laughs his head off, “Yeah! And the Devil’s my Uncle”

“That is not possible” I shake my head.

“And why is that not possible?” he proceeds to ask.

“Because my Uncles and Aunts don’t have any kids! I should know the Devil is my Dad” I whisper.

The detective looks at me as if I came from an alternate universe, “Look I get that losing your sister may cause a certain… trauma. But this is…”

He rubs his forehead before sighing, “Look, I’m gonna talk to a friend of mine. She’s a therapist. I think she may be able to help. And I mean this in the nicest way possible, you need therapy”

“Therapy?” I repeat.

Bloody Hell! I have never been so insulted. Me? Therapy?

“Sir. I’ll have you know I do not need Therapy! What I do need is for you to believe me!” I sigh and rub my own forehead before looking up at him.

“I just realised you didn’t even ask me what my Father’s name was. How on Earth are you supposed to find him if you don’t even know what his name is” I made my point.

Yeah now you got him, girlie. After hearing Dad’s name he’s bound to believe you.

“Actually, you’re right. So tell me what is your Dad’s name?” he asked, seriously this time.

“Morningstar Lucifer” I tell him.

The detective blinks twice, expression blank, I think now he believes me. Instead he sighs for the umpteenth time and reaches in his pocket and takes out a card from the inside of his denim jacket.

“I really think you need this” he told me.

“Fine! As long as you still help me I’ll go to your stupid therapy! But I know I won’t like it” I pout while snatching the card from him.

“Didn’t expect you to” he chuckles.

There’s a minute silence as I sip my tea which I ordered, I look up to him already staring at me, I raise my eyebrows as to say ‘What?’ but he shakes his head, a faint pink colour rising to his cheeks.

He clears his throat, “So, what were you saying about that bait thing?”

I pause midway as I bring my cup of tea to my lips, “I thought you said that was far too dangerous”

“I still don’t agree but if it’s our one shot and you’re…” he says gesturing towards me.

I look down at myself and then at him raising an eyebrow, “What?”

“You know…” the pink colour rising to his cheeks again.

Ohh so the detective here thinks I’m hot does he? Well babe, I know I’m hot! No need to tell me something I already knew for 20 years

“So you’re basically only using me because I’m hot?”

He looks at me, bright red face, widened eyes, and shaking his head, “No! No! That’s not what I mean!” he starts panicking as he figures out what to say.

Oh My God! He is so cute!

I burst out laughing, “Relax, detective! I was kidding I know what you meant”

He looks at me with his eyes narrowed, “You’re a little tease aren’t you?”

Oh Darling you have no idea

“Anyways seriously this time, the plan is simple, I am going to go to the bar and I will… mingle is the right word. I will do whatever in my power to get them to trust me. WHATEVER it takes. Then I will join their gang, gather whatever intel I need and report back to you. Once I do you can use that as evidence against them and catch them. Or I might just start early and kill them one by one” I explain looking at him dead in their eye.

The detective purses his lips, joins the tips of his fingers together, and leans back.

“As much as I wouldn’t want to get in the way of your… whatever. I’m afraid I cannot let you go ahead with the plan”

“What? Why not?!”

“Because I have to give answers to my superiors. I mean what do you think they would do when they find out I have a member of the general public, who is also related to one of the victims. Involved with me?” he asks.

I think for a minute before exhaling a sharp breath, I close my eyes and lean forward, burying my face in my arms as they rest on the cool table.

“Hey” he says placing a comforting hand on my shoulder, I look up.

“We’re going to find who did that to your sister, I promise” He smiles.

Wow! Was he always this cute? I mean that blue, fluffy hair, moon coloured eyes and sharp features that could cut through a diamond.

“Aradia-san” he says snapping me out of my trance.

“Huh, what?”

“You okay? You were spaced out for… 30 seconds” he checks his watch.

“Yeah, I’m okay… but what will the actual plan be?” I ask.

“I have an idea, but I need you to trust me. So, do you trust me?” he asks placing his hand out.

I nod placing my hand on top of his, “I do”
