Chapter 67:

The Twins Assemble

Ane And His Seames

Eina eyed her replica; biting her nails. "This clone must be copying my attacks so I should try to be unpredictable." Eina said as she began jumping about. She then dove at her replica who did the same. Eina then fell aside and kicked to see her replica do the same. The Einas fell to the ground and vines shot at one another. Both Einas let themselves get caught by the vines to disperse into leaves. Eina and her replica then stood across the room from one another. "I'd expect no less from myself. She figured the same solution as me." Eina thought; holding her chin. "No...that's not it." she continued; eyes shielded.

Lisa spun and kicked. "Whirlwind Kick!" she yelled. While turning; air surrounded her and formed a forcefield and she spun and kicked again. Lisa's replica did the same and the attacks collided. The two jumped back and Lisa was panting whilst her replica wasn't. "Damn it!" Lisa yelled. The ground began to tremble and Lisa turned to the room's entrance. Water suddenly flooded in; covering up both Lisas. Lana and her replica was riding the wave as well which subsided as it splashed around the room and the four girls laid there. The Lisas coughed and rose. "Lana?" Lana asked. Lana coughed and sat up.

"Oh, it's you Lisa." Lana remarked before she and her replica stood.

"I hate to ask you butttt...any ideas on how to defeat our mirror images here?" Lisa inquired. Lana sighed.

"I don't have a clue." she replied.

"There's gotta be something." Lisa thought; holding her chin and eying their replicas. Lisa's replica did the same and Lana's eyes widened with realization.

"My wave!" she began; turning Lisa's attention to her. "Look at the replicas closely. They aren't angled in the exact position as us anymore! So if we direct attacks on each other's replicas accurately...we can hit them without getting hit ourselves." Lana remarked. Amazement filled Lisa's face.

"Y-you're right!" she exclaimed; chuckling.

"But we need to work in harmony for that to work." Lana stated; eyes shielded. Lisa froze and then sighed.

"Oh brother." she thought.

Sweat fell from Eina's chin. "I still can't think of a strategy to beat myself." she thought; panting. She eyed the room and seemed to be muttering numbers and then a grin spread across her face. Eina eyed her replica and dug her feet into the ground; her replica mimicking her movements. The Einas pelted themselves at one another and slammed their heads together; blood spraying everywhere. A huge tree spread from each side of the wall; stabbing both Einas. Blood spat from their mouths and Eina swung her head forward and kissed her replica. "Nature Style: Seed Bomb." she thought; spitting something into the replica. The large trees vanished and Eina jumped back and her replica did the same. "Explode!" Eina yelled. Roots spat from her replica; causing blood to spill everywhere. The replica fell to the ground; squealing inhumanly. Eina turned away and puked. "Watching yourself suffer....these bastards." she thought. Her replica sunk into the floor and Eina limped out of the room of dirt.

Lana and Lisa stared at their replicas and then watched one another. Lisa let out her hand and Lana raised an eyebrow. Lisa let out her hand and Lana rose an eyebrow. "Let's fuse." Lisa suggested. Lana's eyes were shielded.

"No..." she replied. A dramatic wind blew across the area.

"C-come on! Why not?" Lisa inquired.

"We both know you also don't want to fuse with me. Plus; we don't need to fuse anyway." Lana remarked. Lisa sighed.

"So how do we get out of this situation...suddenly battle experienced girl?" Lisa teased; raising an eyebrow. Lana folded her arms.

"We need precise attacks on them so that when they copy it; the attacks will miss." Lana explained.

"Hm." Lisa mumbled; holding her chin. "If we link our elemental energy we can most likely read theirs to know exactly where attacks would hit." she suggested.

"That should work; considering they're technically us. If we infuse our elemental energy we can read theirs and gauge our attacks accurately." Lana stated. Lisa grinned and she and Lana fist bumped.

"You sure have changed...Lana." Lisa thought before she and Lana turned to their replicas and aimed at their sister's replica. "Elemental Weapon!" Lisa yelled; summoning her bow. Her replica did the same. Lana's finger got surrounded with water and as did her clone's. Lisa shot an arrow at Lana's replica and Lisa's replica did so to Lana as well. The Lanas fired the water from their hands.

"Piercing Water Bullet!" Lana yelled. The attacks flung past Lana and Lisa; grazing their faces and they smirked at their replicas who got blasted in the face. The replicas fell back and Lisa and Lana stepped forward.

"Combo Attack: Multiple Piercing Water Arrows!" the sisters yelled as Lisa's now enlarged. Lana's water fused with an arrow of Lisa's which then duplicated and sharpened. The projectiles shot at the replicas; causing a huge explosion of water that filled the room. Lana and Lisa stood there silently.

"We...overdid it." Lisa whispered.

"Yup." Lana replied casually before the now rapid water pulled her and Lisa away; in opposite directions.
