Betrayal

“Come on kiddo”, Dante said dragging me to another room. This room was a small artillery room. All kinds of weapons i’ve never seen or even herd of hung around. Dante handed me a vest and helmet.

“What’s this for dad?” I asked with my anxiety threw the roof.

“To make sure you make it to Herbert”, Dante replied as Dr. Shinu helped him load some ammo. Dante said somthing on the phone, while Dr. Shinu finished loading some ammo for Dante.

“Dad what’s going on?” I asked sweating bullets.

Dante called me over and handed me a small weapon. “This is what we call a pebble”, Dante said frowning. “There are a bunch of bad guys outside that well dislike me and my people”, Dante sighed before continuing, “if anyone tries to hurt you I want you to point the pebble them and hit the green button.”

I looked at the strange weapon in my hand. It looked like someone bent a pencil in half and put a button on it. I nodded at Dante to tell him I understood as Dr. Shinu helped me get my vest on.

Three loud booms could be herd overhead. Dante walked back to the monitor room. He clicked his tongue while mumbling, “dumbasses your not going to get in like that.”

That’s when he frowned even more. A vehicle had pulled up. A man in a white silk tank top got out. He had a marble like finish on some of his bodie modifications. He also had to pearl like eyes you could see clean as day, as he stared at the camera smiling.

“Mr. Jacobs?” I asked from the background. Mr. Jacobs was one of the higher ups in Dante’s gang. He also taught me a great deal about a technique called synergy to help harmonize machines and yourself.

Dante lifted a microphone up. “Jacobs are you betraying me?” Dante asked in a nice monotone.

Jacobs smiled before bowing to the camera. “Sir Dante I have no wish to do such horrendous acts. I mearly want to satisfy my curiosity with your son, and I highly doubt you would’ve let me. So I hired the Purple Gear's to help me capture him”, Jacobs said with a evil look on his face.

“My son?” Dante asked very agitated.

“Yes your boy Ronin. I believe he has a very unique talent for machine campatablity that I would like to study", Jacobs said like a very gental super villain.

After hearing what Jacobs said I felt a shiver go down my spine. “Did I expose myself”, I thought to myself wide eyed, “But how I just learned of all this myself.”

Dante looked at me then back at the camera, “he just took his CAM test. He only scored a 50/100 what are you talking about?” Dante asked with a confused look.

“Impossible!” Jacobs looked stunned. He rubbed his chin a little bit thinking. “Capture the child at all costs”, Jacobs said in a sour tone.

Suddenly the building started to rumble. “He’s using nano nukes to try and break the door”, Dante said to Dr. Shinu. Shinu grabbed a spray off a shelf close by. He looked at me and said, “ little sir close your eyes and hold your breath for 15 seconds”. He then proceeded to spray me down with the spray.

After fifteen seconds I took a deep breath only to exhale coughing. “That smells horrible!” I managed to get out.

“It’s a RAD shield the doc whipped up a while back. Works wonders but smells awful” Dante said laughing as Shinu sprayed himself an Dante down.

Dante’s phone started going off. “Finally how long till you get here?” Dante said with a slight panic in his voice as he answered the phone.

“Around five minutes sir”, I herd Herbert’s voice from the phone

“Ok did you call reinforcements like I asked?” Dante asked.

“I figured you would be able to handle this your self sir”, Herbert said in a mocking tone.

“Now is not the time to be playing around you tin can”, Dante said in a stiff tone.

‘Ehm’ Herbert adjusted his speech, “Yes, they will be here in approximately eight minutes.”

Dante’s body started to glow with a golden light at the seems of his metal body. Weapons can be seen slowly shifting into there positions on specific parts of his body. They were ready to fire or move into position at the whim of Dante’s mind.

“Amazing”, I thought to myself.

Dante turned and waved to me to follow him and Dr. Shinu. We walked up to a second elevator shaft on the opposite side of the building. Dante sat me an Shinu in the elevator.

“Shinu, count to five the press this button”, Dante pointed to a yellow button. “Herbert will be waiting for you up top”, he said while smiling at me.

I nodded ok. “Be safe dad”, I said before he walked away. Dr. Shinu counted to five before pressing the button. Slowly the elevator moved up quietly. Soft booms could be her from outside.

Sensing me being nervous, Dr. Shinu said, “it’s ok young sir i’ve seen your father take on a lot more than that”.

I smiled as I turned around to face the door. ‘Bing’ the elevator stopped. The door opened to a man in a white silk tank top. “Mr Jacobs!?” I said confused.

“Hello little Ronin”, Jacobs said in a devilish tone.

‘Going back around five minutes’

Dante turned to walk to the other side of the building.

“Ok i’ve got this”, he said pumping his self up as he started bouncing to limber himself up. His elevator reached the top. Just as his door was about to open, Dante put his hand on the ground and fourteen scorpion like mechanical creatures came from his belt area. “Pt-02 Kairi asked me to put them to use somtime. I wonder if they are strong enough”, Dante mumbled to himself.

The door opened an Dante set the scorpions to automatic AI functions so he could focus on his targets. he looked at the door, “as soon as these scorpions are in position i’ll open it”, Dante said as a bead of sweat rolled down his smiling face. ‘Beep’, “K2 open the door”, Dante yelled out.

“As you wish leader Dante”, the intercom said as the door slowly opened. Dante set off smoke gernades for cover. The mini rail guns on the scorpions began to fire. Screams could be herd in the smoke. Dante switch to a RAD locater to look for radiation signatures in the smoke. He seen four signatures moving toward the elevator he had come up in.

Dante set his turret on his shoulder to start firing at them. A alarm went off in Dante’s ear.

“Jacobs, you have really messed up now”, Dante said with a cynical laugh.
