All of the sudden we here somebody scream in the woods.

“HELP, SOMEBODY!” (???)

The person sounds familiar but I ignore it.

“Let’s go!” (Claire)

Me and Claire go running towards the screams.

Once we cut through the woods some more I’m surprised as to what I see.There are four wolves trying to eat someone on the ground.It’s my friend Matt! Why is he here? I thought I was the only one to be Isekai’d into this new world, so why then?

A fifth wolf pops out of no where and chases me, it goes to take a bite out of be but I block it with my shield. Above the wolf it reads:

<Beta Wolf, Level 6>

I then counter, and slash at the wolf’s head twice with my short sword, and blood spews out.

It recovers and chases me despite still being injured. Damn this thing sure is stubborn.I then stab it in the head with my sword to finish it off. That’s the first time I’ve defeated an enemy by myself in this world. Looks like I gained enough XP to reach level 4 from that one wolf, I have leveled up.

Meanwhile Claire prepares to take out the other four wolves. She points the palms of her hands at the wolves and gathers magic.

“Class 2 Ice Magic, Multi Ice Shard Shot!” (Claire)

Claire shoots four Ice shots to pierce each of the wolves heads, and they instantly die with blood flying out.

Damn, those wolves gave out a decent bit of XP, I’m now level 5.

I walk over to Matt and reach out my hand to help him up.

“Chandler you are here, and what’s with that outfit?! I have no clue what the hell is going on, I was suddenly sent to this world after something happened, I’ve been out in these woods for almost 2 days now!” (Matt)

“Matt, we’ve been Isekai’d.” (Chandler)

“We’ve been what? Chandler quit using your stupid ass anime terms.” (Matt)

“I’m serious, we died in our old worlds and where sent here. Is there anyone else Matt, or just the two of us?” (Chandler)

“Damn it, to think your anime bullshit knowledge will maybe come in handy. But no I haven’t seen anyone, I think it may just be the two of us.” (Matt)

Me and Claire walk Matt to the guild and briefly explain what we know about the world to Matt.

Not too much later we enter the guild building.

“I’m going to go get us a quest from the quest board, I’ll be back.” (Claire)

Claire goes to find a quest, so we can make some money, and raise our levels. So I’m alone with just Matt right now.

“So Chandler, why the fuck are you with a girl?” (Matt)

“She’s my party member, we met earlier and just happened to form a party together, she’s a vaping waifu, you know.” (Chandler)

“CHANDLER! What in the hell is a waifu?” (Matt)

“It’s an anime girl who is your seasonal wife.” (Chandler)

“CHANDLER! Fucking kill yourself! Enough with the anime shit!” (Matt)

“But Matt, unfortunately for you, this world highly resembles isekai anime.” (Chandler)

Matt looks unhappy.“Matt, can you tell me how you died before coming here?” (Chandler)

Matt looks down with a dark expression, and grits his teeth

“Yeah, I was taking my girlfriend on a night drive in my hatchback, when suddenly we got into an argument, and I ended up hitting car head on, I don’t even know if she survived the crash, because it was over for me afterwards. If she died, it would be my fault, I just wish I could see her again.” (Matt)

“I’m sorry, Matt.” (Chandler)

Damn, that must have been tough for Matt.

“Well Matt, What we need to do now, is find you a party of your own.” (Chandler)

I want Matt to find his own party so that he isn’t an awkward member of my harem later on.

“Chandler, how do I do that?” (Matt)

“I think I can help with that.” (Hideki)

The sophisticated adventurer who gave me my potion from yesterday is back.

“How so?” (Chandler)

“I see that you’ve grown new adventurer. I don’t have a potion, but I have more time right now, so I’d like to assist another new adventurer in the making” (Hideki)

I don’t know what level Hideki is, but I would imagine he’s a quite capable adventurer. I don’t think he’s a bad guy, so I think Matt should take his help.

“I think my friend, Matt should train with you, Hideki.” (Chandler)

“Very well I’ll have him register in the guild, and I’ll take him monster hunting for a bit until he forms his own party.” (Hideki)

Hideki then looks over at Matt.

“Salutations, my name is Hideki, and I’m an adventurer of the guild.” (Hideki)

“Hey... I’m Matt.” (Matt)

I can tell Matt is bothered by his Japanese sounding name but he will have to deal with it if he wants to level up.

Hideki walks off with Matt and they begin to talk. Claire then returns with a quest form.

“We have a job.” (Claire)

“What is it?” (Chandler)

“It’s a patrol quest like the one I was on when I found you in the field. All we need to do is patrol the area for monsters, bandits or people in need of help, and we get payed to do it.” (Claire)

Me and Claire begin our patrol out in the woods. About an hour into our patrol nothing eventful had happened, and it’s beginning to get dark.

“I guess we should head back soon.” (Claire)

However suddenly we spot a fire in the distance. We run to it and once we get there we see what looks like a village of natives, who live in tents, and it is all on fire.

“Let’s search for survivors!” (Claire)

“Ok!” (Chandler)

We don’t find any survivors as we search the burning village. How could this have happened?Then suddenly we here what sounds like a small cough.

“Over there!” (Claire)

We go to a tent where the sound was coming from, and inside we find a little girl trapped under a piece of wood.

I run into the burning tent and lift the wood off the girl, and pick her up to save her. Me and Claire run outside the village with the girl and I set her on the groundThe little girl is a cute blonde haired fox girl in burnt clothes.

What!? This world has fox girls!?
