"Will this suffice?"She asked as she wiped her hand.

Feng Yilin nodded slowly, he then began to laugh

"The younglings sure are promising these days, good, you're hired"He clapped his hand and stood up.

He then walked up to Lan Du and placed a hand on her shoulder.His eyes were filled with expectations and joy as if she was his child.

"My Feng family treasures talents like you, if you want, you can marry my eldest daughter and join the family"He laughed and said.

Sima Wen by the side shook, she remembered Lan Du's words and as a woman, she didn't want to reveal it to her husband.But this was getting out of hand!

Lan Du laughed

"I'm sorry, I already have two little devils by my side, if they learn you said this, I won't be able to see the rising sun"Lan Du removed his hand from her shoulder and chuckled

Sima Wen let out a sigh of relief, but then she paused.She knew Lan Du was a girl but she said she had two little devils by her side.

'Damn!Two man with one woman!She is tougher than I though!'

Lan Du didn't realise that this misunderstanding was formed due to her word so she didn't realise Sima Wen's expression.Feng Yan ran up to Lan Du with gazes of admiration.

"Big brother, can you tell me how you did that?How did you become so strong"He asked

Lan Du smiled, Feng Yan was a bit shorter than her but she was still considered ti be quite short due to her real age.

"I train harder than most every day, if I don't get stronger then my time is wasted"

"T-then, can I see your face?You wore a mask the whole so i'm curious"He waved his hand around excitedly

Lan Du was hesitant

"This..."She shook her head, although she didn't want to do it, this was also a employer's request so if she rejected it, her pay could be affected.

"I apologise, but I cannot"She said

Feng Yan frowned and pouted

"I wanna see it, I wanna see it"He began throwing a tantrum and flailed his arms around

Even Feng Yilin felt a bit helpless in this situation as his son as still young

"Yan, don't cause trouble"

"I wanna see his face"Feng Yan cried

Lan Du smiled bitterly, she placed a hand on Feng Yan's shoulder and knelt down on one leg in front of him.

"Stop crying, I'll show you, okay?"

Feng Yan sniffed and stopped crying as he gazed at Lan Du's mask

Lan Du felt regretful that she accepted this mission, it would affect her credibility if she rejected a employer's request so she decided to show them.But this was only because Feng 

Yan was still a child.If it was a random employee that wanted to see her face for fun, she would ditch the job immediately.

Lan Du sighed and placed her hand on her mask and slowly removed it.Her delicate features were slowly revealed as her mask was removed.When Feng Yan saw her face, he went into a daze.His mind blanked as he stared at her.

Feng Yilin and Sima Wen also took a look and was shocked by her delicate face.Her skin was smooth and her eyelashes were long.

"D-don't speak about this to the association, I might lose my licence"She said shyly, due to her young age, if her licence gets confiscated, she has to repay a fine.

Sima Wen and Feng Yilin looked at one another before laughing

"I didn't think that someone of serpent rank would be so young yet so mature, so, about our 

daughter"Feng Yilin brought up again

Lan Du shook her head and sighed

"I cannot, I-"

"I don't want to marry anyone!"A voice came from the door of the lounge.A girl stood there with an angry expression.

Lan Du turned around and saw her.She was a bit older than Lan Du, she could be counted as a senior student of the academy she went to.When the girl saw Lan Du, she opened her mouth wide open in shock.

"Wah, so cute, who is this adorable little brother"She ran up and ruffled Lan Du's hair

Lan Du let her do as she wished since it was a girl.She pointed at her and asked

"This is?"

Feng Yilin snapped out of his daze and said

"This is my eldest daughter, Feng Qing, so about the marriage"

Feng Qing looked down towards Lan Du

"You want me to marry this little pumpkin, if he came to my academy, he would be my junior by a few years, how can I marry him?"She poked Lan Du's cheeks and said

Lan Du moved her hand away and said seriously

"I came here for the mission, not matchmaking"Lan Du said and placed her mask back on

After that, a slam was heard from the door and a young man who was a about 1 year older than Feng Qing ran in.He had a panicked and defensive expression as he came in.

"Father, I heard little sister shout, who are you trying to marry her to!If little sis doesn't agree, I won't agree to it either!"He shouted

Feng Yilin sighed

"Enough Feng Liu, he said he won't marry her and your sister doesn't want to either"

Lan Du watched as they argued, she could tell how close this family was.The brother watches out for the sister and the parents respects the children.Lan Du then turned to the young man who ran in.Her expression changed when she saw him.

Feng Liu turned to Lan Du and was a bout to speak, his body suddenly froze and began shaking.

Feng Yilin and Sima Wen noticed and glanced

"Liu, are you alright?"Sima Wen asked

Feng Liu suddenly stood in front of Lan Du and gave a 90 degree bow as he shouted

"Number 41 greets boss Du!"

His sudden action shocked his parents and siblings, why did Feng Liu suddenly bow?He even called the young man in front of them boss!

"F-Feng Liu, what's going on!?"Feng Qing asked

Feng Liu shivered

"S-sister, w-why i-is Boss Du here?"Feng Liu's hands trembled as he asked his sister

She shook her head

"I don't know, he said something about being a bodyguard though"She said as she thought back

Feng Liu laughed awkwardly and dragged his two parents outside

"Liu, do you know him?And why did you call yourself number 41?"Sima Wen asked

Feng Liu sighed

"In the academy I go to, there is one person that none of the students dares to mess with, and that is boss Du, he singlehandedly defeated 48 senior students in hand to hand combat, me included, his strength is nothing to scoff at, only the instructors of the academy can control him"Feng Liu said proudly

"He then accepted the 48 senior students as his subordinates, he gives us training on a daily basis but none of us knows what he looks like, he said he won't remember our names unless we prove our strength to him so I am known as number 41"Feng Liu explained slowly

Feng Yilin rubbed his chin

"Amazing, 1 on 48 and still win, he must have trained, but how in the world did a 12 year old gain that strength?"

"12!"Feng Liu was shocked stupid, the boss he respects so much, the boss that dominates the top spot in strength was only 12!

Sima Wen laughed

'That girl...she is better than I thought, she can change this society when she grows'

Suddenly, a figure shot through the door

"You know"Lan Du said coldly

"I-I don't know anything!"Feng Liu shouted

Lan Du clicked her tongue and slammed her fist at the wall.

"Feng Liu was it?If a single word about this is leaked, not only will Boss Du cease to exist, I will personally make sure, that the numbers 1 to 48 permanently forgets about me"She said coldly as she closed her fist

Feng Liu was frightened, when Lan Du says something like this, it meant that he meant business.Her definition of forgetting may very well be brain damage.

Feng Yilin and Sima Wen didn't stop this, they knew that Lan Du held a big secret of her own but because of their youngest child, that secret was forcefully revealed.They knew the mercenary guild's code, the employee cannot disobey the employer unless it harmed them.But a 10 year old's curiosity cannot be counted so Lan Du was forced to do so.

They felt a bit guilty that they revealed it so they chose to stay quiet.

Lan Du turned towards Feng Yilin and Sima Wen.

"I will be a bodyguard from now on, it's Feng Yan that I need to protect right?"

They nodded

"Yes, Feng Yan was born with an unnaturally high spiritual strength so the other large families wants to eliminate future threats"

Lan Du nodded

"I will protect him when I am free, but tomorrow I need to attend the academy so i will return the day after"Lan Du walked back into the room and sat net to Feng Yan.

"Little Yan, I will be looking after you for today and the day after tomorrow"Lan Du rubbed his head and said

Feng Yan nodded

*Crash*

A dagger flew in through the window, aimed at Feng Yan's head.Lan Du's eyes sharpened as she raised her dagger and slashed it to the side.

She moved Feng Yan behind her and prepared for anything else.Guards came running in the room and surrounded them.They each faced a direction to prevent attacks from other angles.Lan Du stuck close to Feng Yan as it was still dangerous.

Whoever threw that dagger had a strong spiritual strength, Lan Du felt it when she struck the dagger away.

"Not bad, to knock it to the side, the Feng family hired some good guards"A crackling laughter was heard from outside the window.

A figure jumped through the window and was followed by the dropping of an object.Lan Du covered her eyes immediately and jumped back with Feng Yan in her arms.

The object exploded and a blinding light flashed the whole room.The guards around all held their faces as the light blinded their sight.

"Die!"The man took the chance and dashed towards Feng Yan.Lan Du snorted and kicked from the side.The man clicked his tongue and avoided the kick.

"Tch, I will get his head one day"He then ran back out the window and disappeared.

Lan Du let out a sigh of relief, soon, Feng Yilin and his wife ran in with their kids.

"Yan'er, are you alright!"Feng Yilin held Feng Yan closely

"mn, big brother was awesome, he knocked a flying dagger in a single slash!"Feng Yan said enthusiastically

Feng Yilin turned to Lan Du held her hands

"Thank you, if you weren't here, the guards may not have been able to stop them"His eyes were emotional and was full of respect.

Lan Du pulled her hand back

"Its my job, I won't be here tomorrow so be careful"She said and placed a hand on Feng Yan's head

"Big brother is leaving?"Feng Yan asked

"Your family is so influential, you should have a few experts"Lan Du said to Feng Yilin

The man smiled and nodded

"Don't worry, my brother is coming back tomorrow, after learning about people attempting to kill Yan'er, he rushed to come back immediately, he is in Tiger Rank last time I saw him, not only that, he is also an ace Mech Pilot"

Lan Du was amazed, she has never seen a high ranked Mech pilot apart from her father who she detest.Although she hates him, she has to admit that his strength is still something that's respectable.

"Good, I will return the day after, for now, I will guard him till the end of the day, Feng Liu, double training from now on, you can't even protect your family like this"

Feng Liu felt as if he was struck in the heart by a hammer

"B-boss Du, you can't be serious"

"No, never, I will do so!"

Lan Du scoffed then turned to Sima Wen.

"I'd like to speak to you in private"She said

Sima Wen nodded and followed behin

"Madam Wen, you know my secret but I saved your son, I hope you never bring it up"Lan Du said when they reached an enclosed area.

Sima Wen nodded

"Naturally, after all, you will be the one who changes history"She giggled and said

Lan Du nodded and left the room.She entered the lounge to see Feng Yilin sitting with his son talking happily.Feng Liu however had a green expression as his father asked questions one father another.

"How is your training with him?"asked Feng Yilin

Feng Liu frowned"Father, can you not bring it up?I don't want to remember it"He said depressingly

Lan Du tapped the couch they were seated on

"Oh, I wonder what's so bad about my training that you don't want to remember?Because from what I hear, you're not doing it so you forgot"

Feng Liu shuddered under her words

"N-no, I-I completed my training every day!"

Lan Du's gaze stayed cold

"I see...I will ask number one later, if he says you didn't, prepare for the consequences, if he says you did, I will check with all the other group members and observe your training every day, you he lied about it...hehehe, just don't forget the two that slacked off last time, you will be like them"Lan Du chuckled coldly and placed hand on his shoulder

"I will make sure you stay in the hospital for the same amount of time as well"Lan Du grinned sadistically under her mask and leaned back.

Feng Yilin was stupefied by Lan Du's cruelty.Was this really a twelve year old in front of him or the devil's reincarnation?

"H-how long did the two stay in the hospital?"He asked curiously

Lan Du thought for a bit

"Not long, I just gave them a light punishment so they only stayed there for a week"She said

Her words caused him to tremble intensely, even Feng Liu couldn't stop shaking.He began to sweat profoundly.

Feng Qing got curious

"How hard can your training be?My instructor made us run for three hours without rest with twenty kilos weight on the whole time!"she said proudly

Lan DU and Feng Liu both turned to her.pfft

Feng Liu began laughing while slamming his hand on the couch.He held his stomach and laughed nonstop.His laughter could even be heard by the guards outside.

Lan Du however tried to keep it in, but once in a while, a 'pfft' could be heard from her.

"W-whats so funny!I'd like to see how much you two can carry while running!"She stomped her feet and said

Lan Du took in a deep breath and rolled up her sleeves.There was two back rings around her arm, it seemed plain and bland.Lan Du took off one of them and placed it on the table.

"Miss Qing, try holding it"Lan Du said

Feng Qing snorted and used one hand to carry the ring.But when she lifted it, she felt an intense weight bear down on her arm.She quickly used both arms to support the ring in her hand and stared at Lan Du in shock.

Lan Du laughed and took back the bracelet with ease.

"This is my training bracelet,, I wear six in total daily for a casual training, each is weighted 10 kilos, though for training I add another two to myself"

Feng Qing was shocked, Feng Yilin by the side was speechless as well.

"Miss Qing, your instructor must be very lenient for you to have such a cute training session"Lan DU said with a smile

Feng Liu also added

"If boss Du's training was this easy, I would be in cloud nine, sis, your training is just damn adorable!"He laughed
