Chapter 3 - "A Roller Coaster of Emotions"

Ugh...my head hurts so much.

I shouldn't ve stayed up until so late playing "Holy Souls", but damn that last boss was so hard, what is with having THIRTY swords in your hands??!!

Anyways I have to get ready to meet Nakano-san and the others, let me check what time is it.

"IT'S TEN PAST TWELVE!!"

And we have to meet and in twenty minutes... I am so screwed.

I gotta go immediately.

I washed my face as fast as I could and put on my hoodie which seemed the cleanest.

It probably hasn't been washed in three weeks, though...eh, whatever, I've got no time for that.

And so I headed out to meet everyone, I started running toward the bus stop.

"I-I am here, guys!" I shouted while breathing heavily like a donkey.

"Yo, Haru!" exclaimed Shou.

"You are late by fifteen minutes, Furuya-kun!" said Suzumiya-san.

"I am sorry, I tried to be as fast as possible..." I replied.

As fast as someone could get ready in thirty minutes.

"Did you stay up late again to play that "Holy SIns" or whatever it is called?!" asked Nakano-san while looking slightly angry.

It's called "Holy Souls", though...

"I-I am sorry...Nakano-san, it was just so fun that I couldn't resist playing it." I replied while looking down at the ground.

Ah, I feel so embarrassed, Nakano-san was so worried about me not getting enough sleep yesterday but here I am staying up all night playing games, again...

I will have to do something for her today as an apology.

"It's fine, Furuya-kun, I was just very worried about you yesterday.

Don't worry today you will be so tired that you won't have any strength to play games during the night!" exclaimed Nakano-san.

WHAT?! What does she by I will be so tired that I won't have any strength at night?!

Is Nakano-san talking about that perhaps, or...maybe even that??!!

No, no, Nakano-san is a pure, kind girl, she wouldn't be doing any such things.

My mind is so rotten from watching all that late-night anime...

"Oh?! What are we going to do today, Nakano-san? Have you planned something for us?" I asked.

"Well, I have something in mind! What about all of us going to the amusement park, today?" asked Nakano-san.

"YEA!! I love the amusement park!" exclaimed Shou.

"That sounds good, Nakano-san, you have only great ideas!" I exclaimed.

"Thank you, Furuya-kun, but it wouldn't be as fun if you weren't here." Nakano-said smiled at me after saying that.

"It's been such a long time since we went together to the amusement park, Aki.

Let's have fun like the good old times!" said Suzumiya-san.

"For sure, Hinami!" replied Nakano-san.

"What are we waiting for, guys, let's go before the day is over!" shouted Shou.

So we all got on the next upcoming bus and now we are heading toward the amusement park.

I sat next to Nakano-san and Shou sat next to Suzumiya-san.

"By the way, I guess I have to ask this in advance, but is anyone afraid of roller coasters here?" Suzumiya-san asked us.

"What do you mean, WE LOVE RIDES!! Right, Haru?" asked Shou.

WHAT ARE YOU ON ABOUT, SHOU??!! I couldn't even get on the kids' ride when I was fifteen years old...

But I have to look brave in front of Nakano-san, to impress her.

I guess I have no choice but to agree...

"Oh, of course...I love their rides, haha."

Please kill me, if somebody doesn't kill me first, don't worry because the roller coaster will definitely do!!

I might even get a heart attack, what am I supposed to do in this situation...

"Great! Oh, we are here, let's get off," said Suzumiya-san.

"Woah, it's been so long since I've been here, the last time was maybe around two-three years ago, I am so happy to be here again with such good friends!" exclaimed Nakano-san.

"Yes, let's make this a memorable fun day!" I said.

Still, what am I going to do about the roller coasters, ain't no way I can get on one...

"So, what should we start with?" Nakano-san asked.

"What about the new roller coaster that just came out this month?

It's called "The Soulcrusher", I heard from my friends that it's the best ride they've ever been on!" exclaimed Suzumiya-san.

"WHAT?! We need to get on that ride! It must be so thrilling!" Shou shouted loud.

Shou and Suzumiya-san keep getting louder and louder talking about the new roller coaster ride.

"Guys, GUYS!! Calm down a bit...since we just came here, maybe we should start with something more tame, right?" Nakano-san interrupted them by trying to calm down the situation.

Wow, Nakano-san is so amazing!

She even tamed someone like Shou, I am pretty sure even his parents couldn't calm him down when he was younger.

"You are right, Aki, I'm sorry I got a little bit too excited, hehe...

So how about we get on "The Spinner", we used to go on it a lot in the past!" said Suzumiya-san.

"Oh! I've been wanting to ride "The Spinner" for some time!" exclaimed Shou in excitement.

"Are you okay with it, Furuya-kun?" Nakano-san asked with a gentle smile on her beautiful face.

Honestly, the kids here look braver than me...

But I have to endure it, to show my cool side to Nakano-san!

"Of course, I am alright with it, let's go everybody!"

Let's go to my funeral...haha...

SERIOUSLY SOMEONE HELP ME!!

We bought four tickets and went to wait in line for the ride.

"Look! We are the first in line, lucky!" Shou shouted out loud.

"Isn't that great, Furuya-kun, we don't have to wait in line!" exclaimed Nakano-san.

Yea...now my funeral is even closer than I expected.

I didn't even have time to say goodbye to my figure collection, I am going to miss you guys.

Even if I die, I can't leave them to Shou, I am sure he will do something to them that I haven't even seen in my nightmares, or even worse he might S-SELL THEM!!

My heart is being broken into pieces just thinking about it...

"Haha, yea, amazing..!"

I put on a smile through my tears.

The ride came to a stop and so did my heart.

"You four, it's your turn to get on, please sit down and put on your belts," announced the staff."

"Let's sit together Sakata-kun, so the two love birds can sit together, hehe," Suzumiya-san whispered to Shou.

"Why do I have the feeling that Hanami said something behind my back, I just have this weird feeling..." Nakano-san said quietly.

Shou and Suzumiya-san sat down together.

"So, I guess we have to sit together, Nakano-san," I said while giggling.

"That's what I wanted from the start, Furuya-kun, just kidding, haha."

Nakano-san started laughing and smiled at me.

Then she grabbed me by the hoodie and lead me to the seat behind where Shou and Suzumiya-san were seating.

"Okay, everyone, buckle up your seatbelts, the ride is about to start." announced the worker.

"WOOH! LET'S GO!!" shouted Shou.

"YEAH!!" Suzumiya-san exclaimed in reply.

I AM ABOUT TO DIE, I AM ABOUT TO DIE, I REPEAT I AM ABOUT TO DIE!!!

So this is the end, at the ripe age of twenty years old, haven't had even one romantic experience in my life and now I am about to die, haha.

What a pathetic loser I am, but still...these days have been kind of fun.

The past days I have been spending with Nakano-san have been one of the most enjoyable days of my life!

"Furuya-kun, it's fine, I saw you trembling earlier on the bus when Hinami asked you the question, if you are scared you can close your eyes or you can hold on to me, haha."

Nakano-san tried to calm me in a quiet, calming voice while smiling like an angel who has fallen from heaven.

"Don't worry, Furuya-kun, I will ask the worker if he can go a little bit slower than usual."

I wasn't really sure about it, but now I am one hundred percent sure.

I want to spend more time and do more fun things with Nakano-san!

"I must look pathetic in your eyes, Nakano-san, a twenty-year-old man who can't even ride a kids' ride in the amusement park...

You are always so kind to me, but I haven't really done anything for you, I feel like I've only given you troubles."

"FURUYA-KUN! Don't ever, ever talk about yourself like that, you've done so many things for me.

If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have won the PlayBox 6 and I wouldn't have won that coupon with which we've got my favorite "Holy Knights" figures!

You've done so many things for me, Furuya-kun, so don't underestimate yourself, and let's have as much fun as we can today!!"

Nakano-san is right, I need to focus on what is in the present and don't think about what I could've done better in the past.

"You are right, Nakano-san, let's make more fun memories today and forget about anything in the past!" I replied.

"That's the spirit, Furuya-kun, also don't overwork yourself, you can tell me if it's too much for you." Nakano-san smiles and taps my shoulder reassuringly.

And so the ride started.

"LET'S GO! I LOVE THIS RIDE!" screams Shou.

"Whoah, this ride is not as scary as I expected, right, Furuya-kun?" asked Nakano-san.

"FURUYA-KUN??!! Are you okay, why are your eyes rolled up?!"

Everyone enjoyed the ride and there was me, passed out in the back seat next to Nakano-san.

I will never be able to live out this day...

I need to wake up, I need t-to...ugh...

"Haru, are you okay?" asked Haru.

"Is Furuya-kun awake?! Furuya-kun are you okay?" Nakano-san asked with a worried look on her face.

"I-I..."

I am so pathetic.

"Don't talk, Furuya-kun, drink some water first!" said Nakano-san.

Nakano-san gives me a glass of water.

I gulp it all down as I've never had water before.

"Where am I?" I asked.

"Haru, you are at the local hospital near the amusement park we were at.

You passed out so bad we couldn't wake you up, so we brought you here." said Shou.

"Did I?! I-I am so sorry for causing you so much trouble, guys.

Especially Nakano-san and Suzumiya-san."

"You don't have to worry about it, Furuya-kun, it's all fine as long as you are feeling fine," Nakano-san said with a relieved smile on her face.

"Speaking of it, where is Suzumiya-san?" I asked.

"Hinami went home because her mother called her to go back home," Nakano-san replied.

"Oh, I see. Nakano-san...I am so sorry for causing you so much trouble and you even had to wait for me in the hospital. I feel so bad, it's all my fault..."

"You don't need to apologize, I am just glad that you are okay I was so worried about you, dummy..."

"That's true, Nakano-san was the one who suggested bringing you to the hospital, she seemed really worried about you," said Shou.

"SAKATA-KUN! You don't have to say things that Furuya-kun doesn't need to know..."

Nakano-san blushed after saying that.

"Anyways, are you feeling better now, Furuya-kun?"

"Um, I guess so," I replied.

Nakano-san sighed with relief and said:

"That's a relief! You need to take better care of yourself."

"I will try to, thank you, Nakano-san, you did so much for me today, I don't know how to thank you."

"Well, since it's evening now and we are all exhausted from today's events, how about you buy me dinner, Furuya-kun~?" Nakano-san asked while giggling.

"DINNER?! WITH ME?! Do you mean the three of us, with Shou?"

There is no way, a pretty girl like Nakano-san would eat dinner with someone like me.

Exceptionally, after what happened today...

"Well, if Sakata-kun wants to come along too, I don't mind," replied Nakano-san.

"I actually need to get home, too! I need to make dinner for my mother before she gets home.

I will leave you two to enjoy your dinner!" exclaimed Shou while smiling with the evilest smile I have ever seen.

"Then, see you next time, Sakata-kun!" replied Nakano-san.

"See you, Shou."

Then while on his way to leave Shou walked past me and whispered in my ear.

"Haru, don't mess it up, this is your love chance," Shou whispered while grinning with an evil smile.

WHAT?? What is Shou on about?!

"Okay...? Shou, see you around."

"Yea, see ya!"

Shou left and headed home and so I was left alone with Nakano-san.

"So~ I guess it's a one-on-one dinner or as it is called a date, haha, I am just joking!

Maybe~." Nakano-san laughed and rolled her tongue out at me.

WHAT DOES SHE MEAN BY DATE??!!

That must be just Nakano-san joking around...I am sure, right, right?!

"Haha, yea...So Nakano-san where do you want to go?" I asked.

"If you are treating me then I guess we should go to my favorite pasta restaurant, it's around here.

They have amazing meatball tomato pasta!" exclaimed Nakano-san in joy.

"Pasta? Oh, that sounds great, I love pasta, too.

Should we go now?"

"Yea! Let's go, as long as you are in a good condition to walk, Furuya-kun?"

"Me? I am in super good condition! Don't worry about me and let us try that delicious meatball pasta as fast as possible, haha."

Honestly, I still feel a bit dizzy but I don't want to worry Nakano-san any further today.

"Okay, then let me lead the way!" Nakano-san tapped my arm and started jumping joyfully toward the exit.

We got out of the hospital and started heading toward the pasta restaurant Nakano-san was talking about.

"I am so excited to share my favorite place with you, Furuya-kun!" exclaimed Nakano-san.

"Me too, Nakano-san, I can't wait to try your favorite food!

Also, since we are friends now, we need to show our favorite spots, from now, right!"

"Hehe, totally! We can go to a lot of delicious places, together the two of us.."

Ugh, why do I feel so dizzy all of a sudden, it's so hot...

I don't feel so good, I can't even hear the words coming out of Nakano-san's mouth...

Help me...Nakano-san...

"Did I say something wrong, why did you get so quiet, Furuya-kun?

FURUYA-KUN?! Are you okay, open your eyes, Furuya-kun!" Nakano-san screamed loud.

Ah, did I fall asleep...this bed feels so good, I must've overeaten at dinner with Nakano-san.

But why do I feel so dizzy still...

I open my eyes and then a blinding light shines above me.

Wait a minute! My room doesn't have red walls!!

Where am I?! Umm, what is this plastic next to me?

I picked up the plastic thing and realize that I shouldn't have.

Wait...this is a f**cking condom!!

"EH??!!" I screamed out loud.

Then the most unbelievable thing happened to me.

Nakano-san walked in...

"Furuya-kun~ Are you awake?"

But she was only wearing a white shirt with nothing else!

"Nakano-san, where are we?!" I asked in a panic.

"We are in a love hotel, dummy, I booked a room for us for one night."

"What?! A LOVE HOTEL, YOU SAY??!!" I screamed loud.

Here I am with the most beautiful girl on campus in a love hotel...

How did I even get here...

And most importantly for what reason did Nakano-san book a love hotel room?!
