Instructor Lu turned to the source of the noise and saw Lan Du, he sighed and didn't bother stopping them from talking.He just continued on with his lesson since it wasn't anything important anyways.

Lan Du already knows the basics from her research so she didn't bother listening.As for the twins, they didn't need to know it either since she was with them.

"Class dismissed"Instructor Lu placed down the booklet in his hand and left.Lan Du stood up and was prepared to leave, Qui Shan then stood up as well and grabbed her arm.

"Lan Du, I want to have a bout with you, I have improved my spiritual strength to 200 and my strength rose significantly"He clenched his fists and gave Lan Du a determined look

Lan Du smirked

"Alright, my hands have been feeling itchy for a while"

"Don't look down on me, I will beat you today!"

Lan Du laughed and walked out the classroom.Qui Shan followed behind her closely with a burning determination in his eyes.The sisters didn't follow since they predicted that Lan Du would win.

Lan Du and Qui Shan stood at the training ground.

"Ready when you are, don't disappoint me, I like it when my prey can struggle"Lan Du licked the side of her lips and laughed

Qui Shan shivered

'why...I clearly have higher spiritual strength than him, why is he still so scary?'

He grit his teeth and ran up to Lan Du.His fists were clenched and he smashed it down onto her.Lan Du clicked her tongue and raised her leg.She then spun sideways, kicking Qui Shan on his side and sent him flying onto the ground.

"Are you even trying?Get back up"Lan Du said coldly

Qui Shan struggled back up onto his feet and coughed.He stared at Lan Du and threw another punch towards her.Lan Du didn't dodge, she held up her hand and caught the fist with ease.

"Qui Shan, 200 spiritual strength doesn't mean true strength"She clenched his hand and pulled him to the ground.

"Lan Du, you're a monster, your spiritual strength was clearly below 100 yet you can still win me so easily"Qui Shan said bitterly

Lan Du laughed

"What did I just tell you?"

"Exactly"Lan Du smiled and placed at hand on his forehead

"eh, what are you doing?"Qui Shan asked

"Don't worry"Lan Du grinned

Qui Shan suddenly had a bad feeling

Lan Du's smile seemed kind yet it was more terrifying than anything he has seen.He suddenly felt a surge of pain rush into his head, it was so unbearable he wanted to faint.

Lan Du then released her hold on him and his body slumped to the ground

She took out a notebook and started writing.She then kicked Qui Shan's body

"Get up, I know you're still awake"She said

Qui Shan opened his eyes and slumped back up.He didn't want to stand up but if he didn't, he was afraid Lan Du would so something worse than before.He felt as if his brain was being crushed when she placed her hand on his forehead.

"What did you do to me?"He asked warily

Lan Du shrugged her shoulder

"Dunno, I did an experiment and it worked"Lan Du replied

"You used me as a guinea pig?"Qui Shan exclaimed

"Indeed, but thanks to you, I found better ways to torture people"Lan Du grinned cruelly and turned away.Qui Shan was frightened.

'Never will I pick a fight with him again...'

He then heard Lan Du's laughter from afar, he quickly ran, hoping to not see Lan Du for the rest of the day.Lan Du entered her dorm and saw her three room mates staring intensely at her.

"Lan Du, we've been waiting for you"Fatty said excitedly

"Oh, what is it?"She asked

"well, there is a tournament coming up for the game we played recently, and the winner can get a free pick at an auction thats coming up"Ling Shou answered

"A game is worth enough for a free pick in an auction?Are you sure you're not getting scammed?"Lan Du questioned

"Its actually pretty simple, the organiser of the auction is also the developer of the game, he wants to find the best player so he ca create a ranking system, so he is giving the people a free pick in the upcoming auction"Fatty explained

Lan Du rubbed her chin

"And what does it have to do with me?"She asked

"You're the best player I've ever met, not even some professionals I watched are as good as you, so we hope you can participate, we don't want the auction pick, we just hope you can take us to the auction since only those with high social status can enter, but if you win, you can take us as well"tie Wang said, he was trying to suppress his excitement

Lan Du nodded

"Alright, I'm in a good mood today so I'll accept, when is it"She asked

"Just the day after tomorrow"Fatty said

Lan Du nodded

"Alright, find me on that day, if you don find me, just call me and I'll meet you there"Lan Du said

"Hell yeah!"They hugged each other and shouted.

They were about to hug Lan Du as well when Lan Du shuffled away

"Hug me and I snap you arms"

They immediately backed away awkwardly.

"Wait, you said you're in a good mood correct?"Fatty suddenly asked

"mn hm, why?"Lan Du nodded

"Tie Wang, call the ambulance, Ling Shou, get the med kits, Lan Du, tell me who you beat up"fatty quickly said

Lan Du kicked him away

"A friend asked me to spar with him, he's fine and dandy"Lan Du said

Fatty suddenly let out a sigh of relief

"False alarm everyone"He waved his hand and said

Tie Wang hid the phone behind his back and Ling Shou quickly tucked the med kit back under the bed.Lan Du shook her head and sighed.

"You are all idiots"She said

"Of course, but it makes a total of four of us"Fatty said with a smile

Lan Du smiled back, but her hand gripped his face

"Recently I have been having a hard time hearing, would you mind repeating?"She said with a sadistic smile on her face.

Fatty began to sweat

"No sir, I was wrong sir!"He shouted

Lan Du released her grip and laughed

"No, its fine, you're right after all, I'm an idiot, an idiot beyond help"She laughed and sat down on her bed before reading through a small book.They stared at one another and looked confused

"What did he mean?"

"I don't know, but he isn't angry, right?"

"Hope not"

The scurried into their beds and began playing their games. But no matter how much they played, they couldn't forget the incident when fatty challenged Lan Du to a game.

Lan Du flipped the pages slowly, the room was quiet and no one disturbed one another.The time passed slowly as the sun sets.

When night fell, Lan Du closed her book and went to bed.The other three didn't say a thing and did the same thing.Once Lan Du decides to sleep, they do it as well since they don't want to disturb her.Most of it was due to fear of bothering her, a small part is that they didn't want Lan Du to be disturbed in her sleep.

The night ended and the sun rose.Lan Du's eyes trembled before they slowly opened.She sat up and took out a mask, she didn't do anything but just stared at it.

'Forget it, Feng Yan is innocent and is still young'

She sighed and placed the mask on her face.She wore a fur coat and a dagger was hidden under her sleeve.She placed some needle like objects in her pockets and left the academy grounds.

She slowly walked towards the Feng manor, she stood outside the gate and knocked.

"This is a restricted area, please leave"A voice sounded from behind the gate

"I'm a hired bodyguard, I took a day off yesterday"Lan Du said

The gates slowly opened and a guard poked his head past.He stared at Lan Du and nodded

"I remember you, come in, the young miss has been quite sad since you left, she kept blaming herself"The guard saidLan Du frowned

She followed the guard in and sat on the lounge room couch.She waited there and a fist came from behind her, aiming at her head.Lan Du was surprised, she quickly moved to the side and barely avoided it.

'That punch was aimed for a vital, its decisive...'Lan Du's gaze became cold as a needle appeared in her hand and shot out at the person who punched at her.

The person held out two fingers and caught the needle.

"You actually use a sneak attack?How can you be worthy to be a bodyguard?"The man sneeredLan Du chuckled

"There is no fairness in fights, but i would let go of that needle if I was you, who knows what it is sneered with"She smirked underneath her mask and walked up to the man.

"Just go take a nap, I'll punish you later"Lan Du flicked the man's forehead and laughed

The man was infuriated, he wanted to hit her yet his body became stiff and couldn't move.The previous flick slowly caused him to topple and fall to the ground in an awkward position.

"little squirrel, it's a few years too early for you to mess with me"Lan Du tapped his face and giggle.

The man could only stare at lan Du in anger

The lounge door then opened, Feng Qing ran in and hugged Lan Du

"I'm sorry, I was just messing around last time, please don't abandon my brother because of it!"She cried out

Lan Du smiled

'Even now, she is still thinking of her brother, she's a kind girl'

Lan Du pushed Feng Qing away gently and stood back

"My emotions got the best of me, I apologise for showing you a pathetic side of me, I will do my best to remove the useless parts of my heart"

What Lan Du meant was the bit when she burst into anger, she should have approached it more calmly, but because she was angered, she couldn't control herself.

Feng Qing nodded happily and smiled

Feng Yilin and Sima Wen walked in along with their two sons.

"Brother, what happened to you!"Feng Yilin stared at the man on the ground

"Oh, he's your brother?little squirrel, how does it feel down there?"Lan Du bent down and picked up the needle on the ground

"l-little squirrel???"The people in the room was confused

Lan Du laughed and scratched the back of her head

"Well, he tried to attack me so I defended myself"Lan Du said

"h-he is in tiger rank!"Feng Yilin stated

Lan Du took out a small tablet and placed it in the man's mouth.The man slowly regained sense over his body and stood up.

"Lad, you're vicious, having such potent poison applied to your needle"The man said, he was Feng Yilin's brother, Feng Zhe.

Lan Du took off her mask and revealed a frightened expression.

"I-I, but you came from behind and t-tried to assault me, I was scared, he did it when I was on the couch"Lan Du had a teary expression and looked as if she was about to cry.

All of a sudden, the people in the room all turned to Feng Zhe who was shocked.

"This-I-no!I didn't try to assault him!It's a misunderstanding!"

"Uncle, he is still young, how can you do such a thing to him!"Feng Qing said

"Brother-in-law, although I agree that he is quite pretty, you shouldn't do this"Sima Wen shook her head and said

Feng Liu however was staring speechlessly.

'Is this still the boss Du I know?'

"Brother...I-I can't support you on this, he is still underaged and is also a boy"Feng Yilin shook his head and said

Feng Zhe suddenly felt wronged, he only wanted to test out Lan Du's strength yet such a thing happened.Lan Du wiped the tears from the side of her face and sniffled.

"I-It's fine..."her face became calm and stood up

"Extra pay will do, lets see, for mental damage to me, I will add 2 million, for physical assault, it will be another million, lastly, using the poison on you caused me to waste precious items so another 500 thousand for that"Lan Du took out a note and wrote it all down happily.

"How about it?"She smiled kindly and passed the note over

"This..."

Her actions took everyone except Feng Liu by surprise.That was 3 and a half million!Of course, Feng Liu was already used to the devil like characteristics of Lan Du.However, the others were not, they stared at Lan Du and was completely stupefied.

Feng Zhe's face dropped and frowned.

"Is your goal money?"

Lan Du laughed

"Of course, why else?I have a family to support, I'm the only on earning all the money anyways"Lan Du said and crushed the note

"The extra pay is just a joke, I already have enough money to support myself"She smiled lightly and placed the mask back onto her face.

"I'm here to protect this lad, my job only last till today though, so I hope we don't meet in the future, I won't want to buy you lunch because we are acquaintances" Lan Du smiled and patted Feng Yan's head.

They stared at Lan Du, not knowing what to say.But they soon thought of something, Lan DU just said that she earns all the money.

'is his parents sick or injured?'Feng Yilin wondered

"Lan Du, why do you earn the money instead of your parents?"Feng Qing asked

"My mother is in the hospital, of course I need to earn the money for her"Lan Du replied casually, she twirled her hair gently and sat down.

"What about your father?"Feng Liu askedLan Du's gaze grew cold

"Feng Liu, your training is doubled, mention that word again and I'll train you personally"Lan Du said coldly

Feng Qing and the others were confused

"Did he say anything wrong?He just asked about your dad"Feng Qing stated

Lan Du smirked, but her coldness was seeping

"Indeed, he said something wrong, whats the point of mentioning someone who doesn't even know he had a child until he met me?I will never accept him as my father"Lan Du said coldly, she sighed and took in a deep breath.

"I'm sorry, I got a bit over the top, just never mention him in front of me again?"She said lightly and stroked Feng Yan's head.

They couldn't say a thing to her, her past sounded so tragic.She is only 12 yet she is raising her mother alone with a father that didn't even know about her existence.

They felt as if they pressed a button they shouldn't have pressed and caused her to remember some bad memories.Sima Wen placed a hand on her shoulder.

"It must have been tough for you"She said

"Tough?Nonsense, if I wasn't raised without a father, would I be where I am today?I'm glad he isn't with me, now I have a proper target"

"Target to reach his strength?"Feng Qing asked

"Yes"

'such a pure goal, to think his goal is so simple after what his father has done to him, he's a good child' thought Feng Zhe

"To surpass him so I beat the living daylight out of him, I will make him prostate in front of my mother"Lan Du said coldly, but her smile under her mask grew wider the more she thought about it.

'n-never mind, he's a demon in human skin!'Feng Zhe immediately took back his statement when he heard her.
