Balderik The Protective?

Aiden found a good use for his new toy. He placed the watermelon on the floor and walked a few yards away.

"Look! Look! He's going to use it! Elifam! Balderik! He's going to use the Spine Whip!" Selvika said excitedly as she punched Elifam in the arm.

Aiden was also very excited. He had used so many different kinds of weapons to kill people, guns, knives, and crowbars; even regular day items such as books, fruits, high heels, and stuffed animals were weapons in his hands. "Maybe it's not a good idea to let the human use the whip inside the ship," Elifam said as he was about to approach Aiden.

Just as he was about to move, Aiden sent the whip flying toward the watermelon. It wasn't a perfect hit but had managed to hit half of the watermelon and nearly hit Elifam's face. He also felt a little dent in the floor.

While Elifam screamed in terror, Aiden was rejocing in happiness, "YES! LET'S GO! FIRST TRY FUCKING BITCHES!"

Aiden ran up to the broken watermelon pieces and grabbed a fairly large one and handed it to Selvika. It was his way of saying thanks.

Selvika happily took the watermelon but didn't know what to do with it. She looked at it from different angles to try and figure it out, but it wasn't of any help.

When she looked at Aiden, he already had one in his hand and was eating it, she followed his lead and took her first bite. Balderik and Elifam waited for her reaction before they grabbed a watermelon, in a sense, she was their poison tester. "How is it?" Elifam asked.

The moment Selvika took her first bite, she took another and another. "It's flavorful water," Selvika said with a mouth full of watermelon.

Seeing Selvika's reaction, Balderik, and Elifam grabbed pieces of the broken watermelon and started eating.

"Oh my stars! This is so good! Thank you, human!" Elifam said as he started eating.

Balderik was also enjoying the food, but a thought came to mind. Is a human giving food a gesture of friendship? Should I try it?

Balderik grabbed another piece of watermelon and walked up to Aiden. He wanted to rush over but he didn't want to scare him off, so he gently walked over. The only thing he couldn't was his tail.

Aiden was sitting on the floor leaning near a wall, watching the reaction of the alien's eating watermelon for the first time. They would lose their shit if I gave them pop rocks.

As Aiden kept thinking about different foods, he could have them try, Balderik towered over him as he gently held a small piece of watermelon with both hands.

He kneeled down to Aiden as he gifted the food to him. "Huh...thanks?" Aiden said as he took the watermelon.

Balderik was so happy that his tail started to sway faster than before, once again catching Aiden's attention. Balderik noticed Aiden's curious glance and positioned his tail in front of Aiden.

Aiden was startled by the sudden action, but involuntarily reached his hand out, however, he looked back to Balderik before he made contact. "Can I?"

Once Balderik gave his approval, Aiden instantly grabbed the tail. The texture was rough but not dry, it was oddly pleasant to touch. Aiden was so amazed by the tail that he kept rubbing and squishing it. No matter how he played with it, Balderik kept his til under control. "That's not fair! He already touched your hand!" Elifam said as he walked over to the both of them and positioned his tail in front of Aiden too.

Aiden was taken back by Elifam, but he moved his hand to touch it anyway. I wonder if they feel different.

Before Aiden could touch it, Balderik slap Elifams tail away with his own. “What’s your problem?” Elifam snapped at Balderik.

“If you want someone to touch your tail get someone else to do it!” Balderik quickly snapped back.

“You’re not even mated to the human, why are you so possessive?!”

“I’m not being possessive! I’m being protective! There is a difference!” Balderik shouted.

“Protective!? Of me? Why?” Elifam was confused.

“Cuz your tail is gross. When was the last time you cleaned it?” Balderik said.

“…last week,” Elifam said with uncertainty.

“As I said, your gross,”

"When was the last time you cleaned yours?!" Elifam asked in a fit of anger.

As Balderik and Elifam kept fighting, Selvika grabbed her bags and picked up Aiden by his arms.

Although he was confused, he had come to, unfortunately, expect his fate on the ship. Selvika snuck off with Aiden into her room, leaving Balderik and Elifam on their own.

After 5 minutes of excessive arguing, “Elifam, where did the human go?” Balderik trailed off his conversation.

“Balderik…where’s Selvika?” Elifam asked when he noticed her disappearance.

“Fuck.” They said once they had connected the dots.

Meanwhile, in Selvikas's room, Aiden was having trouble of his own.

Selvika had been constantly taking things out of her bag and handing them to Aiden. She had wanted to see what Aiden would do with each object, most of which he ate.

However, after eating so much food, he was starting to get full and very tired.
