Hearing Qui Shan's distant scream, Lan Du snickered and took a bite into the meat skewers in her hand.She licked the side of her lips and went to buy more.

'Qui Shan ah Qui Shan, you're just too easy of a target, don't blame me for your ignorance'Qui Shan was currently running, Hui Yue was close behind him with an infatuated look in his eyes.

"More, harder, do it more"He shouted

Qui Shan was scared to the point he didn't even want to look back.Hui Yue's actions scared him greatly.He has never met someone like this before.

"Get lost you damn masochist!"

"Ah, your harsh words pierce my heart, ah, so good"Hui Yue repliedQui Shan was stupefied

"Is this your plan, to tire me out so you can use me how you want to?Ah, just the thought excites me!"Hui Yue shouted out, causing gazes to land on them.

Qui Shan wanted to cry, why did Lan Du do this to him?

'Lan Du, did I owe you money in my past life?Please, I will give you my fortune, just take this man away from me!'

Lan Du suddenly sneezed

'Is Qui Shan cursing me?I'll get back at him later'She rubbed her nose and went to buy more food.She enjoyed festivals as the food is cheap and delicious.

She wondered around and saw a shooting gallery, she walked up and saw many prizes but one caught her eye.It was a small stone but there was a strange feeling to it.A smile curved up onto her face and she walked up to the stall.There was many failed attempts in getting any prizes so most people gave up.

Lan Du picked up the toy gun and fiddled around.

"1 shot"She said

The man at the stall nodded

Lan Du gave him the payment and placed a rubber bullet in the gun.

"Lad, no one has one a game so far, you sure you want to try?"A man from behind asked

Lan Du ignored him and applied some spiritual strength into her eyes.A sly smile appeared on her face.

'So thats how it is, no wonder no one could win, what a sly owner'

Lan Du placed a finger on the trigger and shot.The bullet shot out at a rapid pace and went behind all the targets.Since the aim was to knock down the targets, the people assumed that 

Lan Du missed.But the bullet shot something behind the target and suddenly, all the targets dropped down.

"Not a bad trick boss, but the button you hid was too obvious, let me write you some better spots, with your limited wiring, I can also increase the difficulty"Lan Du said with a smile

The boss stared at her in a daze, he smiled bitterly and shook his head

"To think you could find it, take what you want"He waved his hand and stated

Lan Du picked up the strange rock she saw previously and said

"I'll take this"

You sure?I just found it and seemed worthless, apart from looking pretty, I don't see any practical uses"The stall owner said.

Lan Du shook her head

"I like these types of things"She left after speaking

Lan Du held the rock in her hand, it had a red tint over the surface and was extremely smooth.There was a small dot on the top which was black and the overall shape was round with a flat top and bottom.

She covered it with spiritual strength and felt a strange sensation rise, then she felt her spiritual strength get absorbed by the rock.Suddenly, the rock began to melt and a pain struck her.

Her right hand which held the rock felt as if it was being burned by flames, the rock slowly melted and sank into her right hand.A small symbol appeared on her hand, it was in the shape of a red eye.

'what...is this?'

The pain disappeared and what stayed was the red symbol of an eye.She shook off her thoughts and went to buy more food, pretending what had just occurred never happened.Worrying will do her no good so she chose to ignore it completely.

"Five skewers boss"Lan Du said

The man gave Lan Du some skewers and Lan Du paid up.After finishing the skewers, she wondered around to see if there was anything else to do.She then felt two pairs of hands link of to her arms.She turned around and smiled.

"What does my two cheeky little pumpkins want?"She asked gently

Holding her arms was Xie Ying and Xie Jing, they blushed and puffed out their cheeks.They squeezed Lan Du's arms while pouting.

"Who's your little pumpkins?"They said together

Lan Du chuckled

"Who do you think?"She replied

The two flushed red and nudged herLan Du laughed and turned to the stall owner

"six more skewers please"She said

"Ah, lad, not bad, having a pretty girl on each arm, you must be living the dream"The stall owner laughed

Lan Du snuck a smile

"Here you go, here's a seventh, on the house"He laughed

Lan Du received the skewers with a smile and paid the stall owner.She passed three to each of them and kept one for herself.

"Lan Du, you really don't have to buy us some food, we can buy it ourselves"Xie Ying saidLan Du shook her head

"You already accepted the necklace, why bother about food?"Lan Du replied with a smile and ate her skewer.

Xie Ying and Xie Jing nodded and took the skewers.They took a small bite into it and savoured the taste.

"LAN DU, I WILL GET YOU BACK FOR THIS!"They then heard a shout from the distance which belonged to Qui Shan.

Xie Ying and Xie Jing then saw him run by with a person chasing behind him with a strange gaze on his face.They then turned to Lan Du with a questionable look.

"ah, I wonder why my name was mentioned"Lan Du said innocently as of she had nothing to do with it, she scratched the side of his face and watched Qui Shan run off.

"Qui Shan, don't go screaming my name if I have nothing to do with it!"She shouted shamelessly

After a moment, she heard a reply

"!*#&@ I will #&!*% your ^*@^$ and then proceed to @*#&$ your &$(@& in the ^#*@!"Qui Shan shouted

Xie Ying and Xie Jing had some ideas about what has happened and turned to Lan Du after Qui Shan cursed at her.

They then heard a crack sound and saw that the skewer stick in her hand was crushed in half and Lan Du's gaze was cold.

"oho, the little squirrel is cursing at the leopard, this is getting interesting"She smiled sadistically and looked off into the distance.

"Lan Du, what did you do to him?"Xie Ying asked

Lan Du's eyes reverted back to normal and she smiled gently

"I have no clue what you mean, I asked if he wanted a sparing partner and he accepted, the moment he said yes, it was no longer my problem since I had his consent, accepting that 

partner I prepared for him however is his own mistake"Lan Du chuckled lightly and said.

The twins shook their heads and pitied Qui Shan for encountering Lan Du in such a cheerful day.

"Lan Du, don't be too harsh on him, he isn't a bad person"Xie Ying said and tucked her sleeves

Lan Du turned and nodded

"Alright, if you say so"She rubbed her head and smiled warmly.Lan Du then ordered a few more skewers and packaged them up for later.

"Kid, you should go to the memory hall, leave a nice memory with the two lasses behind you"The stall owner leaned in and saidLan Du thought for a moment

"Thanks"She paid him for the skewers and left with Xie Ying and Xie Jing beside her.She headed to the direction of the memory hall, there was many other students who coupled up with one another there.

"Lan Du, where are we heading to?"asked Xie JingLan Du smiled

"For a marriage registration"Lan Du replied with a sly smile

"s-stop fooling around"They nudged her and said shylyLan Du laughed

"Lets go in and find out"She pulled the twins along and entered the room.Inside was a line which was made up of many other young couples.

"The couple wars will soon begin, ah, we have a new group, eh, theres three"An announcer on the bog screen inside stared at Lan Du's ground with confusion.

"Lad, um, only a couple of two is allowed so you must choose one"The announcer said with a bit of awkwardness, he has never seen a group of three before.

Lan Du frowned and turned around

"We're leaving"She said to the twins

The twins and the announcer was surprised by her sudden change in attitude.She seemed excited to come before but now she wanted to leave?

"Lan Du, is something wrong?"Xie Jing asked with concern

"Since I must pick one of you for this game, whats the point?"Lan Du replied emotionlesslyXie Ying and Xie Jing turned to one another and smiled.They then patted Lan Du's head

"Then just pick, we don't mind, after all, you can't just rock up in a competition for a pair with two others"They said cutely

Lan Du frowned

"And you expect me to pick?"She continued

"You don't need to, we can do it"Xie Jing said lightly

Xie Ying nodded after as well.Lan Du sighed and rubbed her forehead gently.

"Fine, I shouldn't have come here"She grumbled to herself

Xie Ying and Xie Jing turned to one another.They smiled and took out a small coin.Xie Jing tossed the coin and it landed on tails.

"Sister, guess you go"She said with a sweet smile as she turned to Xie Ying..Xie Ying felt a bit guilty and hugged Xie Jing.

She then whispered into her ears

"thank you"

Xie Ying turned to Lan Du and smiled gently

"lets go"She said

Lan Du reached out a hand and turned to the crowd.She slowly walked Xie Ying along and stood in teh line with the other couples.

Xie Jing watching felt a slight throb in her heart but she disregarded it.She just watched Lan Du and Xie Ying holding hands as they stood there.

"Alright, we have enough participants now, there will be three elimination rounds, the first round will be dancing, the male shall dance for the female in a solo dance, show your loving partner you are worthy of them!"The announcer said aloud.He snapped his fingers and the scenery around them changed.

They were in a grand hall and there was many decoration around.The lights shined on all the participants who were prepared to dance.

"Let the dance begin!"

Lan Du turned to Xie Ying and smiled

"Lan Du, can you dance?"Xie Ying asked

"Of course"Lan Du said lightly

Music began to play and all the participants apart from Lan Du began dancing.Some of the boys were a bit clumsy but some were quite good at it.Lan Du then began, she lifted her hand began dancing slowly.

Her steps were steady and her eyes were filled with emotions.When she began some eyes landed on her, her movements were different.It flowed with the music which was slow.Her hand reached out as if it was to grab something, only for it to escape her grasp.

Her eyes filled with grief but was replaced with anger.

It was as if her dance was a story, tragic and slow.The sadness became anger and her movements changed.It was more rough yet it felt so natural.

Before long, even some of the boys stopped dancing to watch her dance.

Tears rolled down some of the viewers eyes as they watched Lan Du's hands miss her grasp.It was like losing someone close to her.

Soon, the music slowly died down and Lan Du's movements stopped along with the music.When she stopped, the audience were snapped back into reality.Lan Du's dance was not only captivating, it also brought a sense of sadness to them.

The announcer was also shocked, he shook his head and smiled.

"Amazing, half of the group will remain after this first round, would number 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 15, 17 and 18 remain, as for the rest, I'm sorry but the judges weren't that impressed"He said and turned to the three judges seated at the side.

Lan Du and a few other stayed in the game while the rest were eliminated.The girls by their side would just greet them bitterly, not daring to say anything about it.Lan Du frowned at such a scene.

'I will change this crappy rule, women doesn't deserve this crap'Lan Du clicked her tongue and turned to the rest of the competitors.

"It was a wonderful performance from participant 18!Your dance has touched me greatly, now off to the next game!"The announcer said aloud.

Xie Ying by Lan Du's side tucked her sleeves.

"Where did you learn to dance like that?I almost cried when I watched you dance"

"I'm self taught, don't mind it, its just some hobby of mine"Lan Du said with a smile

Xie Ying however didn't believe her at all.She felt that there was a deeper meaning in the dance that Lan Du has shown just then.The emotions felt so real and it was embedded in her heart.

"The second game is a trust game!The males will be blindfolded and each girl will take turns in touching his face, the male must then guess which one is his true partner!"The announcer said enthusiastically

Each boy was given a blindfold and was placed over their eyes.Lan Du did so as well and they stood in a line while the girls were mixed in the group.

"The girls aren't allowed to say or do anything apart from touching the side of their faces, show your girl that you can recognise them even amongst a crowd!"The announcer shouted happily

As Lan Du was blindfolded, she felt up to 8 different people touch the side of her face.She then began thinking inw which one is Xie Ying.A smile crawled onto her face and she stood quietly waiting for teh announcer to tell them their next action.

"Now, boys, starting from number 2, who do you think is your partner?"

The boy raised a hand and said with confidence

"The third one"He said

The announcer paused

"Wow, correct!How did you do it?"He asked hastily

"My smell is quite good, I have been with my partner for so long, how can I not know"He said confidently

His blindfold was then removed and his partner smiled at him.

"Next one is..."The announcer asked one by one and soon it was Lan Du's turn

"So far only 3 has passed, will participant 18 get it correct!"

"The seventh one"Lan Du said right away

"Wow, another correct, participant 18, will you tell us how you did it?"

Lan Du smiled and replied

"its quite simple, I recently gave a her a lamb skewer, I could smell the skewer still"Lan Du said without shame, but she was joking of course, she recognised Xie Ying's fingertips as it touched her face with much more confidence than the other 7 that touched her.

The other seven trembled before touching her face and she felt the tremble, but Xie Ying didn't.

"um, strange but it works!We have 4 contenders left, we will begin the last round after a break!"

Lan Du took off her blindfold and saw Xie Ying's pouting expression.Her cheeks were puffed up and her eyes glared at her.

"Am I not as memorable as a meat skewer!"She shouted

Lan Du giggled

"Of course not, after all, you're much more delicious"She licked the side of her lips and said seductively

Xie Ying blushed and her face was covered by her hand

"d-don't say such strange things"She mumbled
