NOT A CHAPTER - THIS IS AN AFTERWORD

“Let me start by thanking you all for using your time to read my novel. To the members of my family that supported me, my friends that came home weekly to read and give me face-to-face critics, and to fellow HF writers who gave me feedback and nice and sincere words!! I’m very thankful for your support!!” My heart feels warm. Without you, I would have made many more mistakes than the ones I already made!!!

“Secondly, I want to apologize for my bad writing. As you may know, I’m not a native English speaker. So yeah, I feel kinda sad for myself for not being able to express myself perfectly in English, and also since I lack writing experience, it affected the novel for sure.” But I worked hard trying to chase one of my dreams, so I have no regrets!!

“As you see, this novel has an open ending. I would love to end the story if I had the opportunity!! I have a really good plan to end it. There are a lot of plot twists that I planned for it, but the length of the contest, mixed with the 3 months of time that we had to write, my inexperience in writing and some personal reasons, is the perfect mix that didn’t let me write as much as I wanted!!” I’m not gonna lie, but I started this story around mid-May completely from zero!!

“I also want to give a special thanks to HoneyFeed, MyAnimeList, Hivemind, and Kodansha for giving people the opportunity to fulfill one of their dreams of publishing a novel and maybe a manga in Japan!! Good luck to the finalists, whoever they are, and a super special congratulations to the winners of every prompt!! You guys deserved to win!!” I’m writing this before the contest is over but I’m sure their novels are GOAT!!

“Finally, I would love to end with a final reflection. What are people’s dreams?? Some people dream about eating daily, having a warm house, a relaxing bath, earning enough money to live, having a loving family… They dream of just having a decent life. After having all those essential needs covered, they dream about becoming famous, getting much more money to buy better goods, having a lot of good friends, and sadly, there are some that dream of having a little bit more health or even just being happy.” I don’t know if I’m explaining myself, but I’ll continue. “What I want to say, following the message of my novel, is that you should follow your dream without fear!! Sometimes it will get hard. You will like to quit because you are not the only one following your dreams, but some dreams are not worth your misery, time, and work.” Writing my 2 novels took a lot of time from my sleep :P A lot of ideas rushed through my head while I tried to sleep!! “So don’t let them take away the most important things from you, like happiness and your health. Don't let anyone, anything, nor hard moments stop you from living your life the way you want to!! The way you dream!!!” Dreaming about not having an incurable disease is hard, I know really well, but you can’t let it take away everything from you!! Keep going forward!!

"And a big mention to the person who decided to hack/block the SNS I made for the contest. I wasn't able to recover them, and it seems that I won't either. You succeeded in preventing me from promoting properly. But you couldn't stop me from posting. Thanks to everyone who supported me!! See you all again soon!!"
