Lan Du stared at Yu Rei and trembled slightly

"ehehe...well..."Lan Du scratched the side of her face and muttered awkwardly

Yu Tian , Yu Rei and Yuan Min stared at Lan Du, all with a stupefied expression.How could they not understand what Lan Du's awkwardness meant!

"y-you-you, you unfaithful bastard!"Yu Rei shouted out as she pointed at Lan Du

Lan Du frowned and scratched the back of her head

"I never claimed to be a good person, but I'm an upright person, there seems to be a misunderstanding"Lan Du said without shame as she hid the previous embarrassment

"Misunderstanding?You just admitted to having more than one girlfriend and you say it's a misunderstanding!"Yu Rei shouted furiously

The mercenaries all turned their heads to Lan Du at this moment as they gave her a thumbs up.

Lan Du sighed

"It doesn't matter anyways, you don't need to poke your nose into my business"Lan Du said with a calm expression, but her tone clearly expressed slight dissatisfaction.

Yu Rei spat

"Doesn't matter?!You're playing with people's feelings and you say it doesn't matter!"She grew angrier as she shouted

Yuan Min and Yu Tian stayed quiet, they wanted to see how Lan Du would respond to this.

It was then when Lan Du's phone started ringing

Lan Du picked up the phone and saw that it was Xie Jing and Xie Ying who called, though it only said Xie Jing, she knew that both of them usually call at the same time so they are probably both there.

She began to sweat, she didn't want them to say her name, with Yuan Min's spiritual strength, hearing it won't be hard even if she turns the volume down.

Yu Rei snickered as she quickly tapped the pick up button.The call went through and Lan Du quickly said

"Right now isn't convenient, there is a lot of people here so I hope you won't use my name while I'm on this trip, I'll call you back later"Lan Du said and was about to hang up when Yu Rei grabbed her hand

"Girl, this guy isn't a good person, you should leave him before he hurts your feelings"She said quickly

Lan Du sighed once again, then from the other side of the phone a confused voice came through

[Little Devil, who's she?And what does she mean by that?]Lan Du knew it was Xie Jing who said that, since Lan Du requested her not to use her name, she used her nickname from the virtual training ground.

Lan Du smiled bitterly and answered

"This lass's imagination is shooting through the roof, don't listen to her"Lan Du said slowly

Yu Rei gritted her teeth and shouted

"You clearly have two girlfriends yet you say I'm talking nonsense!Girl, this kid has another girlfriend, don't trust him"She said

A shy voice then came from the other side

[G-girlfriend, h-he said I w-was his girlfriend]

Xie Jing stuttered, on the other side she blushed and placed a hand on her face which was burning up from embarrassment.

[La-Little Devil, i-is what she said true] The voice became hopeful and shy at the same time

Lan Du smiled sweetly

"Lass, you were the one who took initiative to kiss me, are you trying to go back on your words now"Lan DU chuckled and said gently

Yu Reu was dumbfounded, was the girl on the other side not angry at Lan Du?Why did she seem so excited all of a sudden?

[t-then how about me]The voice said again, this sentence confused Yu Rei, why did she say such a strange question?What did it mean?

Lan Du laughed

"You both are in unison as usual, I have said it before, I will treat you both the same no matter what, how about it?I'll send you two the engagement form when I get back"Lan Du said cheekily

[b-bad, you're too bad]This time the voice was stranger, it was as if two people had spoke 

which further confused Yu Rei.

'What's going on?Why does the girl seem so strange?And why isn't she angry?Wait...both?What did he mean by both?'

"Well, I'll call you two later, this is still a bit inconvenient after all"

[B-bye] Xie Ying and Xie Jing both said shyly as they hung up, feeling their faces heat up, they glanced at one another before hiding themselves in their blankets.

Lan Du smiled lightly as she placed the phone into her bag,

"The two of them are sweet as ever, but I hope you never do what you just did again, if you hurt their feelings even a little, you might have one extra assassin after your life"Lan Du giggled but her words were full of threat

Yu Rei froze

"b-both?"

Lan Du lifted a brow

"oh?You couldn't tell?Those two lasses are twins, they are very similar and likes the same thing, naturally love interest included, but I love them both the same"Lan Du chuckled as she held her small dagger in her hand and began cutting the large piece of meet on the plate.

"s-so they know about it all?"Yu Rei asked

"What question is that?Those to never even leave each other's side, if you see one of them, you will see the other next to her, they are very cute as well, adorable in fact"Lan Du said gently as 

she stabbed the dagger into the large chunk of meet

"That is why I can't tolerate you hurting them, even an attempt will get me angry"Lan Du's smile remained but her usual cheerful attitude was gone.

Yu Rei felt a trace of fear as she looked into Lan Du's eyes

Yuan Min and Yu Tian understood the situation quite some time ago when they heard Xie Ying ask 'What about me?'

"enough, Yu Rei is impulsive, there is no need to go to such lengths to scare her"Yu Tian spoke up

Lan Du shot him a glare

"If I told your wife you were cheating on her, how would you feel?"Lan Du asked

Yu Tian grew annoyed due to that question

"What foolish question, I will nev-"It was then he realised Lan Du's intentions, the situation she just descried was exactly the same as what Yu Rei just did.

He settle down and sighed

"It seems my daughter pushed things too far, I apologise on her behalf"He said sincerely

Yu Rei was shocked

"No, I should apologise, father, you shouldn't do it!"She shouted

Lan Du giggled and her aura became cheerful and carefree once again

"Oh come on, you make me sound like a demon, I'm not someone like that, no need to be so formal about it"Lan Du said lightly as she smiled

Yuan Min now realised that he couldn't see through Lan Du at all, he could not tell if she was lying or holding something back.But thinking back on the twin's conversation with Lan Du, he decided to trust her.

'They sounded genuinely happy to be with him, he shouldn't be a bad person' He thought to himself and smiled

Lan Du was laughing

"Did you think I would really go after you for that?Don't be stupid"Lan Du laughed and drank a cup of water.

Yu Rei nodded slightly

Lan Du took out the dagger from the meat and pointed it towards Yu Tian

"I still want my reward from your old man, and killing people who offended me isn't what I do, when you get offended, unless it goes beyond your limit, you never kill for it, such thoughts will only lead to your own destruction"Lan Du said profoundly

Yu Rei nodded

Lan Du gave her a smile

"Don't be so shy, I don't kill for such reasons"Lan Du smiled but muttered to herself "Though torture is a different story"

She did her best to say it quietly but Yuan Min heard it and almost choked

He stared at Lan Du and shook his head helplessly.

'His mind is a bit...strange a times, though he isn't a bad child'

Yu Rei didn't know the reason but she shuddered for a moment.Lan Du clearly said he wouldn't hurt her but why did she still shudder?

"I-I'm sorry"She said instinctively

Lan Du giggled and put the dagger away, she then started eating the meat she cut.Seeing Lan Du eating, Yu Rei calmed down a bit and reached her chopsticks out for some of the meat as well.However before she did so, Lan Du's chopsticks came in and grabbed her chopsticks.

"what are you doing!"She shouted

Lan Du picked up a piece of meat and ate it

"You haven't met me for long so you don't know, I'm very proficient in poison, all my daggers has been coated with a paralysis poison so it's best that you don't touch anything my dagger has touched"Lan Du said and ate another piece

"Then how are you fine"She asked in suspicion

"Have you ever seen a poisoner get poisoned by his own poison?"Lan Du replied with a sarcastic question and chuckled

Hearing that, Yu Rei felt indignant so she reached for the meat and ate it quickly before Lan Du had a chance to stop her.

Lan Du sighed to herself and turned her head to Yu Tian.

"You can't blame me for this, she did it to herself"She said

Immediately after, Yu Rei collapsed onto the table, unable to move an inch.

"I warned you, but you didn't listen"Lan Du muttered and ate another piece of meat.

Yu Rei now felt humiliated and wanted to shout at Lan Du, however was unable to.Her body felt as if it was being weighed down by something heavily and her nerves were all numbed. Yu 

Tian smiled bitterly as he sighed.

"Can you give her the antidote?She is still my daughter after all"Yu Tian asked

Lan Du smiled awkwardly as she scratched the back of her head

"about that...I never bring one since I didn't think someone would be dumb enough to touch the poison on their own, don't worry, she only took in a small amount, it should fade away in a few minutes"Lan Du shrugged her shoulders and continued eating as she ignored Yu Rei completely.

When Yu Tian was about to speak again, Lan Du glanced over

"You're my employer, act like one, unfair treatments is enough for me to ditch this mission, you have Colonel here anyways"Lan Du said coldly

Yu Tian immediately shut his mouth, though he knew it is safe even without Lan Du, he owed her too much, he would only seem ungrateful if he lets her leave the mission without the reward due to his own daughter's mistake.

But he also felt very bothered that Lan Du is treating his daughter in such a manner, she is still his flesh and blood so how can he not feel anything.

Yuan Min observed and intervened

"Little Devil, Yu Tian and Yu Rei were at fault, can you hand over the antidote?"He said

Lan Du smiled and giggled

"If the colonel says so" She said cheekily as she placed a small pill into Yu Rei's mouth.

Yu Rei immediately shot up and sat up straight on the chair.

"I-I can move"She said in shock and joy

Yu Tian lifted a brow while Yuan Min chuckled

"Didn't you say you don't bring antidotes?"He asked curiously

Lan Du gave a smug smile

"If the colonel asks, of course I'll have one, how can I say no for such small matters when my idol asks me to"Lan Du giggled said gently

'When I go back home...the first thing I do is to release my pent up aggression in the arena...' 

Lan Du thought to herself, the more she acted this way, the more bothered she got.

"you...*sigh*, Yuan Min, how lucky you are you have such a devoted fan"Yu Tian said in jealousy

Yuan Min shook his head

"Indeed I'm lucky, but you have quite a few people out there as well"

Yu Tian sighed bitterly

"But none like him, those out there are only after my daughter and my money"He sighed and said

Lan Du lifted a brow

"There's actually people out there who wants this raging daikon?"pfft

Yuan Min couldn't help but laugh

"Honestly, how does your brain process?To them, Yu Rei is only a tool to get closer to Yu Tian, as you know, most females in society are treated with scorn due to the military advancements in the recent years, few of them have military achievements so society gradually treated woman as tools"Yuan Min sighed at the thought and shook his head

"That might be why my daughter hates me so much"He mumbled

'heh, if that was the only reason I would be calling you daddy already' Lan Du scoffed in her mind and continue dto eat to hide her eyes.

She then felt a strong pinch on her waist, when she turned she saw Yu Rei staring at her with an angered expression while pouting.

"Doing this will only prove my point"Lan Du said cheekily

Yu Rei snorted and turned her head

After eating, they all left the restaurant, Yu Tian paid for the bills and when he saw the numbers, his eyes bulged and almost glared at Lan Du.Though it wasn't much to him, it was still quite a lot for a mere lunch.

"Mr.Yu, where is the hotel you booked?"Lan Du asked

Yu Tian pointed at a tall building just across the streets

"That hotel has great services, sometimes I would come here just to relax"He smiled and said

Lan Du nodded, she then walked over to GuanYa and Liu Bu

"Wanna hang out at the hotel later?I heard they have places where people can spar"Lan Du said excitedly

Liu Bu shook his head and rejected her immediatly

"You'll break my bones with a single punch, go spar with Guan Ya"He said hurriedly

Guan Ya was stupefied by the sudden betrayal but he nodded anyways, after all, in pure strength, Lan Du was still not his match.

"Alright, we can do so after we take a bath"He said

Lan Du smirked slightly but none of them noticed since she wore her usual mask.She slapped Liu Bu's back and chuckled.

"Don't be so scared, how about we play digital games instead, did you bring your phone?"Lan Du asked

At the mention of digital games, Liu Bu's eyes lit up

"Of course, I recently started playing Mech Combat, it requires skills, hehe, I'm so proficient in that game that I can combo up to five times"He said smugly

Lan Du grinned

"I happen to play that as well, we can play together later"Lan Du said lightly, but her eyes wee filled with desire to see his defeated expression.

"Really?I'm warning you, I'm good"He said proudly

Lan Du only giggled in response before heading back to the front.Yu Tian entered the hotel and paid for the cost, he then gave majority of the people a keycard with a number on it.

"Yuan Min, your room is just besides Little Devil's, I hope you two can get to know one another better"He smiled and said

Yuan Min felt slightly happy about it, he wanted to pull Lan Du into his side as soon as possible and Yu Tian's actions gave him a chance.Lan Du however was aghast, Yu Tian's action made her think whether she should take up assassination missions on him.

"Thank you Mr.Yu, I can't wait"Lan Du said with an elated expression as she giggled

Yu Tian nodded, seemingly to be very proud about himself.

'Old man, if I get the chance, my name will be on the assassin list going after you' Lan Du thought to herself

Yuan Min saw Lan Du's excitement and smiled

"If you want, I can let you try piloting a real mech after the mission, it can be a learning experience for you"Yuan Min said to Lan Du.

Lan Du's ears perked up

"Really?"

For once, she was genuinely excited about something Yuan Min had said, a chance to pilot a mech was not something she can easily obtain.

Yuan Min saw her jump in excitement as he felt proud, he seemed to have found a way to pull 

Lan Du onto his side.

Lan Du then went to her room and took a quick shower.While she was still showering, the door for her room opened and someone walked in.Lan Du heard the door opening as she shouted out.

"Who!Own up or I'll break your leg when I come out!"Lan Du shouted furiously
