Desperate Lan Du

Lan Du glanced over to Liu Bu who was still in the same match fighting, his movements were relatively smooth and no major flaws were revealed in his attacks.

She then wondered whether she should enter another match or just wait for Liu Bu, in the end, she decided to wait for him and sat there quietly.It was only after a few more minutes did Liu Bu finally finish his game before he realised that Lan Du was right beside him.

"Ah, damn, why do you pop out of nowhere all the time, anyways, ready to be steamrolled?"He grinned and held his phone with an arrogant expression.

Yu Rei stayed quiet and wanted to see the result.

"Shut up and send the challenge, my in game name is also little devil"Lan Du saidLiu Bu nodded and sent the challenge

"Why are you so attached to that nickname anyways?"Liu Bu asked

Lan Du thought for a bit

"I'm just used to it, though whenever I do anything, people ignore the little part and just call me a devil, don't know what I'm doing wrong"Lan Du mumbled as she accepted it

Liu Bu almost blurted out "You're just that much of a sadist" but held it in after a second thought.If he said it, he might really be beaten to a pulp.Lan Du didn't bother asking for an answer, she stared at the screen and prepared for the game.

"Liu Bu, lets make a bet before we start"Lan Du spoke up and smiled

Liu Bu glanced at her

"Heh, I bet you're just trying to intimidate me now, alright, lets make a bet"He said with a smug expression

Lan Du smirked beneath her mask

"If I win, I'll use you as a punching bag, you can resist as much as you want, if you can escape, then I won't chase after you, if I lose, then your choice"Lan Du said with a light smile

Liu Bu thought for a bit

"If I win, I want to see your face"He said

Lan Du nodded without hesitation and turned to her phone.Her eyes became sharp and her fingers placed on the controls.The count down soon began and Lan Du's fingers immediately began to move.

Liu Bu's mech was relatively small so it is harder to hist than regular mechs, but his attacks were just as heavy due to his control.However, in front of Lan Du, the moment he got close, he was grappled and tossed into the air.

Using controls to flip in the air, Liu Bu furiously tapped his fingers.However, during mid flip, 

Lan Du's mech threw a upwards punch, striking the leg of the mech, causing it to drop down to the ground.Lan Du then repeated the strategy she used in her previous match.

Liu Bu wasn't even able to fight back and was beaten madly on the ground, not even able to get up anymore.His hand trembled when the two words "You Lose" showed up on his screen.

"I-Impossible, are those movements even possible!How much of a try hard are you!"He shouted

Lan Du giggled

"I just so happened to win the small competition that the old man who created this game initiated, the tournament was as easy as a walk in the park"Lan Du giggled and placed a hand on Liu Bu's shoulders.

"Come, my dear punching bag, my hands are a bit itchy"Lan Du said warmly, however, the tone of her voice could not match the viciousness of her words.

Liu Bu shuddered

"eh, didn't you promise to fight Guan Ya?He should still be waiting"He said, trying to push everything to Guan Ya and run,

Lan Du rubbed her chin

"Oh?Guan Ya and I already sparred, I ended with one loss and one win, now it's your turn to fulfil your end of the bargain"Lan Du grabbed him by the collar and dragged him away.

"No!Help me!Miss Yu!Save me!"He called out but to no avail, Yu Rei merely looked away and pretended she saw nothing.

"Hehehe, scream, even if you scream till your throat can't even let out any noise, no one will save you"Lan Du chuckled and pulled him to the sparring grounds.

Liu Bu wanted to run but Lan Du's grip on him was too tight, he expressed great fear.If even Guan Ya lost to her once, wouldn't he die?!

But he suddenly remembered Lan Du's words, if he could escape, she wouldn't chase.Now, he decided to run for his life even if he has to throw away his pride in the process.

Lan Du cracked her knuckles and stared at Liu Bu

"The more you struggle the better, I love a prey that understands fear"Lan Du's smile grew wider, she threw a heavy punch at Liu Bu's chest.

Instinctively, he raised his arms to block, but when Lan Du's fist came in contact with his arms, he was thrown back and a screeching pain was felt in the place she punched.

"Ah!"He cried out

He immediately used the distance Lan DU created to suddenly run, he dashed towards the exit.Just as he was about to run out, a hand came from behind and grabbed his leg.He fell face plant onto the ground but his hand grabbed the doorframe.

"Help!"He shouted

Someone saw him and was about to ask when he saw Liu Bu get dragged into the room once again.It was followed by wails of pain and suffering.Soon after, Lan Du walked out calmly, he expression was relaxed and seemed as if she was very happy about something.

When the person peaked his head in, he saw Liu Bu's beat up body.His face was beaten beyond recognition and he laid there motionlessly.

"Ah!Murder!"He shouted out but Liu Bu suddenly stood up

"Ah, ouch, damn, little devil is ruthless, he only beat my face, ah, ouch"He rubbed his face gently and walked out.

"They say never beat a man's face, yet all he did was beat my face"He said in a frustrated manner, Lan Du was like a devil in his heart now.

He walked back towards his room and didn't come out after that.Once in a while there would a slight 'ouch' sound coming from his room.Inside, he was trying to apply medicine but just touching his face he would feel immense pain.

Lan Du also headed back to her room.Rather than resting, she started doing exercise whilst still wearing the weighted bracelets.She stood on one hand as she bent her arms to push herself up and down.Sweat rolled down her face as she continued, she would change arms once in a while as well.

After an hour, she stopped and stood up, her body was covered in sweat and felt sticky.

"I should take a bath"She muttered and locked her room door.

Thinking back, she also grabbed a chair and jammed it at the door so it cannot be opened.She closed her curtains and went to the bathroom.She then filled the tub with warm water, she also applied some shampoo so the surface was completely covered in bubbled.

Only after it was filled with water did she remove her clothes and entered the bath tub.Her body sank in and only her head poked out of the bubbles.

"Its been a while since I last took a bath..."She closed her eyes for a bit and was suddenly disrupted by the sound of the door clattering.

"Eh, is there something jamming the door?"

Yu Rei was once again outside trying to open the doors, Lan DU began feeling annoyed.She stayed in teh bath and pretended that she didn't hear a thing.

"Little Devil, open up, I want to speak with you"She called out from the other side

Lan Du ignored it and closed her eyes

It was then she heard a loud *bang* and the chair holding the door was knocked to the side while the door swung open with great force.Lan Du gritted her teeth and sunk her head further into the tub.

Yu Rei looked around the room and saw that the bathroom light was on.

"Are you taking another shower?"She asked, she knocked on the bathroom door and asked

Lan Du sighed and didn't bother replying, she just wanted to relax herself.

However, Yu Rei was very persistent and continued to knock on the door

"If you don't answer, I'll break down the door!"She shouted

Lan Du began to feel anger, recently, she has had few times where she could properly relax, and Yu Rei had continued to bother her since the moment they met.If not for the fact that she knew what she looked like, Lan Du would have thrown her out the room.

She got out the tub and dried her body.She tied her chest up, wore her mask and changed into more casual clothes before opening the door.

"There is a limit to how annoying someone can be, so far, you are the most annoying one I have met yet"Lan Du said coldly

Yu Rei tucked her lips

"You were the one who ignored me the whole time, by the way, why are you wearing your mask, take it off, it's just the two of us anyways"She reached her hand out for Lan Du's mask and said

Lan Du grabbed Yu Rei's incoming hand and her eyes became cold

"The only reason I have been putting up with your behaviour is because of your father, miss Yu, either retrain yourself or I'll throw you out myself"Lan Du didn't sound playful, she was genuinely annoyed.

Yu Rei could have chosen to wait, yet she began throwing threats of breaking down the door, when it comes to her personal secrets, Lan Du is especially ruthless.If Yu Rei had found out about her gender, she might have attempted to kill her.

She held back the impulse and tried to sooth things out.

But for someone like Lan Du, this is as smooth as things can go when she is annoyed...

"You-I just wanted to see you"She said as if she was the victim

Lan Du's eyes were unwavering, she clicked her tongue and and walked out the room.

"Fine, tell your father to find me tomorrow in the hotel two streets down this one, I'll be staying there for the night"Lan Du said in frustration and walked off.

Yu Rei was baffled, why was Lan Du suddenly so cold?She wasn't like this before, so what happened for her to act like this?

She puffed her cheeks and stomped her feet

"Fine, leave, not like I cared anyways"She shouted at Lan Du's leaving figure and went to the room with her father.Yu Tian was currently just enjoying himself in the bed.He had food next to him and a drink in his hand.

"Yu Rei, why did you come back so soon?Didn't you say you wanted to meet the kid?"He asked

Yu Rei pouted and stomped her feet

"Who wants to meet him, humph"

Lan Du had already left the hotel after taking all her belongings.She went down to another hotel she found when going on a shopping spree earlier in the day.She entered and paid for a single room before laying down on the bed.

"Finally, I'm out of Yuan Min's range of sight, that lass was too wild, can't even wait a few minutes"Lan Du sighed and laid back on the bed.

"I need to go back immediately after getting my reward..."She muttered

Her phone then began to ring, when she picked it up, she saw "Xie Ying" written on the cover and chuckled.

"They stay together all the time, was there a need to both add my number?"She giggled and picked up the call.But what came next caused he to jump up.

"L-Lan Du, s-sister is-sister is...she's missing!I've tried to call her but she wouldn't pick up, and in my messages, there's one word she sent me before disappearing, it said 'Help', Lan Du, what do I do!"

On the other side, Xie Ying cried

Colour drained from her face...

Lan Du trembled, she rushed out the hotel and ran to the previous one she was at.She showed no hesitation to run to Yuan Min's room and knocked heavily.

"C-Colonel!Please, help me!"Lan DU shouted desperately, to her, revenge is a plan, but if that plan conflicts with her family, she would rather give up the plan.

She banged on the door as worry filled her heart

Yuan Min heard her knocking and desperation, he was surprised Lan Du could even be so worked up.He has only ever seen a merciless and calm side, a worried side was a first.He walked over and opened the door.

"What is it?"He asked

Lan Du gritted her teeth, though she felt disgusted asking, it was nothing compared to the worry she felt.

"My sister, she's missing!I need to go back, I don't care how, please, help me go back, I must get there as soon as possible"Lan Du said in panic, her eyes were unsteady and her voice was horsy

Yuan Min lifted his brows

"Even the fastest way back is one whole day"He said

Lan Du slammed her hand into the wall

"No, that'll be too long!Please, I'm begging you!"Lan Du's voice was trembling at this point, her shout rang throughout the entire floor and many mercenaries came out to see what was going on.

They saw Lan Du in front of Yuan Min and her fist planted deeply inside the wall beside him.They wanted to say something but realised something wasn't right.

They then saw Lan Du drop to her knees

"I'm begging you, please..."Lan Du said desperately

Yuan Min was now in a pickle

"I know of a way...but the risk is too high"He shook his head and said

Lan Du's eyes showed hope

"Anything will do!As long as I can go back!"Lan Du shouted

"First of all, calm down, you're in no shape to do anything right now"He said and pulled Lan Du up.

To Lan Du, the siblings were family, they had been wth her without judging her personality, she felt attached to them.She wasn't willing to give up on them, even if it means giving up on her pride.

Lan Du got back on her feet and grabbed Yuan Min's collar

"Even if I have to sell myself, tell me, how do I get back"She shoutedYuan Min smiled, to him, this was Lan Du's real nature, a caring young man.He felt moved by her actions and nodded in the end.

"As you should know, there are wormholes that leads around the galaxy, but unknown to even some of the higher ups, there are a few unstable wormholes I have discovered, one leads to Earth, but that being said, it is very unstable but the travel is immensely faster, you can reach earth within an hour but the risk is just as high"He warned sternly

Lan Du nodded

"I don't care, just take me there"She said resolutely

Yuan Min nodded

"I will tell Yu Tian about this later, for nw, your sister's safety is of upmost importance"He said and pulled Lan Du out the hotel.

He then tapped a device, after a few minutes, a small sized ship floated above them, ropes came down and Yuan Min grabbed onto it.

"Hold on"He said

Lan Du grabbed the rope as well, her grip tightened and was firm.

The rope was then pulled up into the ship, Lan Du didn't look around despite it being technology she has never seen before.Her mind was clouded with worry for what happened to Xie Jing.

Xie Ying on the other side was also very worried, she cared dearly for the both of them so her hand tightened.Blood dripped down from her palm from how tight she was gripping her own hand.

"Cal down"Yuan Min said again

Lan Du took a deep breath and sighed

"She means a lot to me...she has always been there for me despite my...aggressive nature"Lan Du pinched her own arm to bring her senses back.

Her eyes became sharp and slowly, her heart became steady.

"If this was caused by someone, I will make him ay several folds"Lan Du said coldly
