End of term celebration

Lan Du's mech held up its daggers, she flipped multiple switches within the mech and charged forwards.Though the movements were rough around the edges, she was able to get closer at a very fast pace.

The enemy mech however seemed carefree and lifted its arms to taunt her.Lan Du remained calm and carefully made her judgement.The person was most likely highly skilled in mech controls, however, she didn't slow down one bit and slashed down heavily at the enemy mech.

Her dagger came down fast, but the enemy mech merely lifted one hand and applied some force upon her incoming strike.Her dagger was moved to teh side, Lan Du frowned and used that sideways momentum to spin and strike from the side.

The person in the other mechs eyes lit up as he smiled, he was quite young and was only a year or two older than Lan Du.

"good"He complimented her followup but still avoided it with ease.

Lan Du jumped back and created some distance between them.She made a defensive stance as she stepped back warily.Her opponent's mech control is beyond her abilities, the only way she can win was to find a flaw or a chance to strike back.

The opponent smiled as he ran over in a strange manner, his footsteps were odd but covered the distance between them rapidly, 

His trajectory became hard to predict and his hand flickered.His main weapon was a nunchaku, he swung it around and struck her left leg with ease.

Lan Du clicked her tongue, her mech suffered some damage from that strike and the movements were restricted.Lan Du held up her dagger and thrusted it at the opposing mech.

The dagger was aimed at the chest, the opponent turned is body sideways whilst grabbing her mech's arm.She then felt her mech flip and get tossed to the ground.

Lan Du gritted her teeth, she had never suffered such one sided defeat before, she grabbed the mech arm which held her's and pulled it in.Her mech raised it's knees up and was able to strike the opposing mech's waist.She was about to throw a heavy punch at the shoulder joints when the enemy mech raised it's nunchaku up and slammed it into her mech's head.

The heavy impact left her slightly dizzy, she turned her mech's entire body and rolled out of the hold.

'The movements are very rough, but the skills are oddly accurate, he must be skilled in hand to hand combat...but this is mech battle, my forte'

The opponent didn't let her out so easily, he slammed one arm into the ground and spun his body into kicking in her direction.Lan Du saw the incoming kick but was unable to react with her mech control skills.She watched as the kick landed heavily upon her torso and was sent flying back.

With that, the match ended and Lan Du was transferred out, she clicked her tongue as she jumped out her mech after getting sent out the arena.She felt humiliated from that loss, but she calmed her head and sighed.

'I'm too impulsive, I need to go back and analyse the battle' She thought to herself and left the virtual world.

She downloaded the recording of the battle into her bracelet and left the room soon after.Nt long after she left, another pod opened up and a young man came out.He wore a curious smile as he looked around.

"Damn, I was too slow, I would love to know who I just fought, though his skills were off, they were very decisive, not even I can achieve that through all my years of training"He glanced around and left the room as well.

Lan Du went back to the dorm to check up on her room mates, by then, they had all woken up, though they were still on bed.Lan Du walked in and looked around.

"You three really know how to get into trouble, why are those annoying flies always attracted to you anyways, I had to swat them all away constantly"Lan DU said in an annoyed manner

The three scratched the back of their heads as they let out an embarrassed look.Though they were not weak themselves, they always ended up getting outnumbered.Yet in the end, Lan Du was always there to help them out of the mess.

"Lan Du, you're just that much of a monster, there was clearly close to 20 of them yet you still done them in with no injuries"Fatty exclaimed in reverence and respect.

Lan Du clicked her tongue

"No injuries?I broke my left wrist earlier today, now I got dragged into a fight...what do you think would happen if a person use a fractured wrist in fights?"Lan Du asked sarcastically as she rolled her eyes.

"What!Lan Du, you should lay down and rest, a fractured bone is no joke, you should also get it checked up, using that wrist in a fight can cause it to bruise up and may even affect your future growth"Ling Shou exclaimed

Lan Du tossed a pillow over at Ling Shou and sneered

"It's just a fractured bone, some medication will fix it up in a day"Lan Du said as she unwrapped her bandages on her wrist.It revealed a lightly bruised wrist and was also slightly red.

She applied more ointment onto the bruise and wrapped it back up tightly.

She then turned to Ling Shou and Tie Wang.

"You two owe me quite a it of money now, I used 2 million dollars worth of medication on you to keep you alive"Lan Du said with a gentle smile as if it was just casual talk.

Ling Shou and Tie Wang almost choked on her words.

"T-Two million!Lan Du, you know we can never afford that much money"Tie Wang complained

Lan Du chuckled and walked over, she lifted Tie Wang's chin up as she gazed at him

"Easy, just pay with your body"Lan Du smiled lightly

Tie Wang tensed up, he felt his scalps numb and his body shivered uncontrollably.

"m-my b-b-body"He shuffled back in the bed but for some reason, his heart was beating faster.Lan Du smacked his head

"You two will be my personal punching bags for a week each, don't worry, we'll do it in the virtual training world, after all, if I do it for real, I'd have to use more medication"Lan Du smirked and walked back.

Fatty began laughing

"Ha, you two are so unlucky!"He laughed without restraint

Lan Du glanced over

"Oh ho?You seem to be in a good mood, as they say, we're all in this together, once you all recover, you should join them, after all, you're good buddies that won't let each other down, right?"Lan Du's smile became sadistic as she laughed.

Fatty trembled as Ling Shou and Tie Wang nodded

"Fatty won't back down, after all, we're life and death brothers, isn't that right, Tie Wang?"Ling Shou clenched his fists and said to Tie Wang

Tie Wang immediately nodded

"Yes, Fatty is our good brother, he is even willing to go to hell with us, much less be your punching bag"Tie Wang said proudly

Fatty wished he could cry

"How can you call me a brother when you're throwing me to hell!You both are offering me to the devil itself with both hands!"Fatty cried out but his body couldn't move an inch.

Lan Du chuckled in response

"Don't feel down, it isn't real after all"She turned her head and went to take a shower.Now that they were awake, she was more at ease that they won't wake up at a bad time for her.

If they caught a glimpse of her body, she may very well get exposed.

Lan Du removed her clothes and entered the shower.She washed off bloodstains on her hand and arms that were from Ling Shou and Tie Wang's injuries.After changing into cleaner clothes, she walked out and headed to her bed.

But to her surprise, someone stood at the doorway, staring at her.It was a man she didn't recognise, yet he gave off a familiar feeling.It wasn't because she met him before, but he resembled someone she knew but she couldn't lay her hands on it.

"You...you're Lan Du right?"He asked in a serious tone, his eyes were sharp and his face was stern.

"Indeed, and who might you be?"Lan Du glanced at him and askedThe man glanced at her room mates and back at her.

"I am the father of Xie Jing and Xie Ying, one, I came to thank you for saving my daughter, two, I hope you will stop treating them like you are now, woman should know their place in this era, if they get too caught up in the fantasy you created, it won't do them any good in the future"He said sternly as he warned Lan Du.

Lan Du's eyes became cold but she maintained a smile.

"Oh?And how will you make me do so?"Her smile was wide, but it released a fierce and a sadistic aura.

The man ignored her disrespect

"You're a talented young man, iI've seen your results in both your physical training and your virtual training, but your spiritual strength is lacking, right?I am able to provide high end treasures that can help with spiritual strength if you follow my order"He replied, if it was others, they might be tempted, but to Lan Du, those things were useless.

She waved her hand

"No need, as their father, I expected more from you, but it seems I was wrong, I won't bicker with you over how I treat them"Lan Du walked closer to him.

"But force e and you'll find an assassin after your life the next day"Lan Du tapped his shoulders and smiled gently.Her smile was contradicting her words, which caused the man to feel a tinge of fear, but he suppressed that feeling and turned away.

"It is your choice, but this will be my only warning"He said coldly and walked out the room.

Lan Du smirked

'I've got a tracking device on him now, all I need to do now is wait...'

She held up a small device and a dot appeared on it.She smiled lightly before putting it away once again.Her gaze was gave away her sadistic and cruel thoughts as she watched the man's leaving figure.

Lan Du then placed a glass bottle in the centre of the room and walked over to her three injured room mates.She took out three small tablets and passed it to them.

"Eat it, it'll help with your recovery"Lan Du said calmly, the three didn't think twice before eating the tablet, their bodies felt slightly better and the pain was no longer as severe.

"Lan Du...thank you"They smiled and said reverently

Lan Du nodded and walked out the room.

"I'll be going for a bit, have your phones ready, if anything happens, call me"She locked the door and closed it before leaving the dorm.

Her gave landed upon the small device before she shook her head.

"I'll see how things go with the twins before I take action"Lan Du then changed her expression, her smile became radiating and gentle, her aura was now completely different.

It was warm and gentle as if she is a dignified elder sibling, she held up he phone and dialled a number.

When the other end picked up, Lan Du smiled before asking gently.

"Wanna go out for lunch?"Lan Du asked with a smile on her face

[eh?Lan Du, were you not informed?Today is a class celebration for the end of term so everyone is invited to have lunch at a very expensive restaurant, apparently the student president is footing the bill, I will send you the location right away, everyone is still gathering]

Lan Du was quite surprised

"Oh?The term ended already?Hm, pity that fatty and the others won't be able to join, I'll just bring some of the food back for them I guess, Xie Ying, if you're next to your sis, tell her that if she is still scared about the previous incident, tell me, I'll bring that company down in a single hour"Lan Du said worryingly, but it was also full of confidence.

[eh, n-no need, anyways, how did you know it was sister who was speaking to you]

Lan Du chuckled

"If I can't even differentiate you two, how can I dare to be with you"Lan Du smiled and replied jokingly

She then heard the two let out a soft gasp and imagined them blushing as she giggled to herself.

"Alright, I'll see you two there then"She then hung up and hummed to herself as she left the academy grounds.She headed to the direction Xie Ying sent her.

When she arrived, she saw a large crowd waiting outside a building.The building itself was very tall and well furnished on the inside.Though Lan Du could easily afford to eat here, for those without much money, this place was very extravagant.

Lan Du caught sight of Xie Jing and Xie Ying, she smiled lightly as she walked over to them.When the two saw her, they smiled brightly as they ran over to her.The nearby group saw the twin's actions and were shocked.

"Those two campus belles has been sought for by many of the second generation rich students within the class, to think they both already had a person in mind"

"Young master Gong has been chasing them for the past few weeks as well, *sigh*, what a pity for that young lad"A senior shook his head and sighed.

"Indeed, the last person who spoke to the both of them, I'm pretty sure he ended up in the hospital for mysteriously the next day"

"That harsh?Young master Gong is also the host for this celebration, yet that kid still dares to show up with not one but two campus belles in his arms"The groups glanced at Lan Du as they sighed in pity and a bit of jealousy

Lan Du didn't realise what they were talking about as the twins were with her, she was too distracted with talking to the two that she wasn't even aware of the glares she got from some people.

One of them finally couldn't take it anymore and walked over to Lan Du.

"Brat, do you think you're worthy of the two campus belles?Get lost and I won't have to use force"He growled at Lan Du and reached out his hand to grab her shoulder.

Lan Du maintained a gentle smile as she grabbed the incoming hand.

"Hahaha, this senior must not have spoken the right word, right?"Her grip intensified and the person began feeling his bones shift in his hand.

The young man almost screamed when he gritted his teeth and endured it

"Not answering?Don't be so shy, tell me, what did you say again?"Lan Du's smile seemed very gentle and kid so the surrounding people didn't know why the young man stopped moving.

Lan Du's hand tightened once again

"Tell me, I think I misheard"Lan Du continued to pester

The young man finally couldn't take the pain as he shouted

"I-I'm wrong, yes, I misspoke"He shouted hysterically

Lan Du chuckled lightly and released her hand.The young man backed away as he held his hand with a terrified expression.He didn't think that the small and petite body of Lan Du would contain such monstrous strength.

When he went back to the crowd, his friends gathered around him.

"Sang Shi, why did you suddenly back off?"One of them askedSang Shi glared at him

"That kid isn't normal, my hand...I think it was fractured by him in that instant he grabbed my hand"He said as sweat rolled down the side of his face.

His friends were shocked

"That small kid?His strength is actually enough to fracture your hand!"They exclaimed in shock

Shang Shi nodded

"Not only that, I'm sure he was only toying with me, he never took me seriously from the start"She shuddered at the thought.
