Chapter 2:

Living life as a maid

I was reborn as a maid to the cruel tyrant prince (vol 1)

Dearest mother and father in another world,

How are you? It has been a few days since I last spoke to you, however I am here to say that I am fine.

In fact I have been marvelling at how much energy a young child's body can have. I have been doing chores none stop for the past week or so, and I have not become worn out. Is this what it's like to have a healthy body? Back when I was in Tokyo my body got exhausted just by walking too far down the hallway when I could move. It's so odd to feel this light and weightless in an unburdened body. But I feel like with a body like this, I can really do anything.

In these passing few days in my new life, I was slowly starting to adjust to my new life as a maid.

I started batting down one of the many large sets of red satin curtains upon the many large windows down the almost unending hallways of the second floor of the manor house. Each one of the curtains needed to be dusted off, the head maid said she wouldn't forget even the slightest bit of dust remaining on them. However, it wasn't as though I was working on my own on such large manor...

"Annie, I'm gonna polish off the windowsill of the the next window" a young girl with blonde curly hair and rather pretty moss green eyes mentioned, peering from behind the next to me, a bright smile on her face as I then smiled at her warmly.

"Uhn, go on ahead" I responded, letting her continue her work as she picked up her bucket and sponge, heading to the next window. The girl over there who was just a year older than me was called Sana Rejoyce. She was essentially my senior in the manor house, both in age and experience. She too had also been adopted as a maid for the manor at the age of thirteen and was now living her life as a younger maid, under the teaching of our head maid. She had been appointed my guardian as maid for the next few weeks and was showing me all the ropes. However we had become fast friends over this passing week. Sana is a sweet and pretty looking girl, just being in her presence calms me... not just that but her name reminded me of home in a way. Apparently there were weird names in this world that I would have to get used to, though being Japanese originally, the strange names here, were far more like what I was used to than even my own.

Asside from Sana, I had also become acquaintances with a few of the other younger maids within the manor. Once our busy days were over, we all headed back to a large dorm room dedicated to the younger maids of the mansion, so I had gotten to know them more from there. However, I was hoping that eventually I would come to befriend more of them soon... Back in my old life, I wasn't really able to make friends because of the illness I had. In this world I wanted to do my best to befriend everyone.

"Phew... I wish they would let us open up some of these windows you know... it's so hot and stuffy lately..." Sana mentioned, wiping the sweat away from her brow as I looked over to her silently... before I then nodded in agreement, looking out the window to the rather downcast sky ahead of us. It looked like the storm I had predicted a few days had in fact arrived, however it had decided it wasn't going to actually do anything when it got here, instead lingering over the land surrounding the manor house, ominously waiting to do something. We hadn't gotten so much as a drop rain yet however and even the wind seemed eerily quiet. Whatever was hanging over us was slowly building up, and doing it's best to become far larger than it originally was. As a result, the air around the manor had become uncomfortably hot and stuffy, whether you was inside the manor or out, a days work would leave you covered in sweat from head to toe in the end. It didn't help that the manor was located in what appeared to be mostly flat lands mid country, so we didn't even have tide winds to cool us off.,.

"Geez, can the weather hurry up and cool down, I cannot bear how hot it is!" Sana grumbled, kneeling down in an overheated fashion.

"It will eventually rain, so don't worry. We'll have a big storm and it'll make the air nice and refreshing again!" I noted with a timid laugh as Sana took a deep breath... before she looked over to me curiously.

"Are you not hot Annie? You haven't even stopped to catch a breath yet..." Sana noted as I found myself a little reflective on this question. To answer that, of course I was... however, to me, a little bit of heat fatigue was nothing in comparison to the the exhaustion I felt in my past life. If anything it was easy to say that I was quite spirited.

"I guess I just deal with the heat better than others!" I replied with a small smile as Sana sighed a little.

"I wish I could have your energy. After working here so long, it's easy to get tired out fast..." Sana noted before she then tightened up her hands, getting to her feet. "But you know, seeing Annie with so much energy is refreshing enough to keep me going! So I'm going to continue working hard!" She then told me with a chirpy smile as I also smiled back to her. It was great to know that I could be used as some motivation for once... before I was used to being the one receiving motivation from others. In fact it lit a flicker of a flame in my soul.

"Hearing that has me just as spirited you know! Let's work hard to get all these windows clean!" I replied a determined expression on her face, Sana rolling up her sleeves with an equal amount of enthusiasm!

"Yup, let's do this!"

Some time had passed as we went on cleaning each window and set of curtains. It was surprising just how dirty these things could get in just a week of not being cleaned. According to the head maid it was because the humidity was causing the dust to stick to everything. At the rate we were going, we may wound up just as dirty as the curtains...

The cloud cover in the sky wasn't showing any signs of breaking through with either sunlight or rain as the day passed and the heat only became even stronger...

"Boy... this heat is quite stubborn isn't it..." Sana muttered, lowering her head, tugging on her collar. She turned around drowsily, looking to the grandfather clock that was now behind us, her eyes narrowing somewhat before they then lit up. She dropped the sponge in her hand back into the soap bucket.

"Hey, Annie, right now it is okay for us to have a break! So do you want to run down with me to get a drink and rest a little?" Sana then turned to me as I stopped beating the curtain in my hands. A break huh? I looked down the hallway where five more sets of curtains remained for me to clean. Right now, I felt like if I continued we could hurry up and move on to another task that wasn't quite as taxing in this heat. I lowered the curtain in my hand before looking over to Sana.

"I may continue for a bit longer if that is okay...? If I do then I can help you polish the remaining windows afterwards" I notified Sana who gave a worn out expression just hearing my words.

"I really don't know where you find the energy in this heat Annie..." she commented, not understanding my desire to work so much. Nonetheless she then started walking down the hall. "Anyways, it's fine, but it's no good to not hydrate yourself in this heat. You'll get sun stroke. So let me grab you a drink from downstairs" Sana added on as she walked off as I bowed my head a little in appreciation to this.

"Thank you Sana, I'll be sure to at least sit down a little whilst you are gone" I thanked her as Sana nodded her head.

"Yup you better, it'll be no good if you exhaust yourself".

And so, I now found myself alone as I continued my work on the curtains down the hall. I was glad that Sana went to rest, being a year older than me she actually had more responsibilities around the manor than me. However, being alone had surprisingly given me more time alone with my thoughts than I really needed. I tended to zone out a little when I cleaned, mostly because I found cleaning rather therapeutic overall. But without somebody around to distract me from my own mind, I could become completely spaced.

My days starting off as a maid were surprisingly passing me by fast. Part of pondered whether it was just because of how much work I was doing? Or just because the days back in Tokyo always seemed to go mind numbingly slow... I stopped dusting the curtain, my eyes looking to the land surrounding the manor house almost distantly... in actuality, I didn't like being alone and in the quiet again... it brought me back to the bland white hospital room I spent my entire life in...

On that note, I decided I would rest my legs a little, putting down my beater and walking over to the large ivory white windowsill, sitting with my back up against it. I partially hoped for the window to be cool, but in reality it was just as hot, if not hotter than the rest of the house. I closed my eyes reminiscing ... ah this felt familiar. The quiet of a room and a pale grey light shining through a window. There was only one thing that was missing from this... and that was the sound of-

Thud, thud, thud, thud-

Footsteps? Some quite frantic ones too, like somebody was running. I opened my eyes in slight surprise, realising that maybe I had relaxed a little too long on the windowsill. Sana was most likely back again... I got up, going to step out from the curtains to greet her when quite suddenly the cause of those ushered footsteps ran before me...

The sight I saw run in front of me was that of a young boy, wearing a similar black fine clothing with golden patterns that I had washed the other day. His hair was a jet raven black, a shade of black so dark I had never seen it before... and his eyes were sharp, an almost jaw droppingly pretty crimson ruby red, as though they were jewelled flame ember. I found myself just staring at the boy in an almost enchanted daze as the boy also came to a halt mid run upon noticing me, a rather surprised look now sitting on his face. It was for this moment that neither of us said or did a thing, one another being just as taken back by the one as the other did. This boy looked very pretty for a kid his age... it even made my heart a little restless just to look at him as it was then that the boy's eyes narrowed in curiosity at me...

"Hey-" he began, when quite suddenly there came even more footsteps, thumping down the hallway, this time a crowd of them much to my surprise.

"Hey, he went this way!!" Came a voice as the boy's face scrunched up in agitation, a small "t'ch" coming from his mouth. I went to look at just what the commotion was, however before I could even investigate, the boy then pushed me back behind the large curtains, stepping within them himself and quickly shutting them behind him.

I looked to the boy with quite some surprise, not being all that sure what on earth was exactly going on, as it was finally that I was able to bring myself out my daze, my eyebrow raising faintly in concern.

"Uhm... young mister-" I began however-

BAM

The boy kicked me back up again the windowsill before grabbing one of my pigtails with one hand and covering my mouth with the other as he dragged me nearer to him, his foot still on my stomach.

"Listen here you dumb pig, you are going to stay quiet until I say otherwise, you make a single sound and I will burn off you hair, you hear?!" He threatened in a harsh yet quiet whisper, my eyes widening in startlement at his sudden actions. What- just who was this person?! Had I already met somebody dangerous? I didn't think a child could be this violent.

We both waited with baited breath as we heard many footsteps run outside the curtains, none of them stopping to look at the pair of closed ones that we stood behind, the boy keeping his hand over my mouth as he glanced back at the curtains, looking ready to take off any second. I stared at him, still extremely shocked at what was happening... what did this guy mean by burning off my hair? Could he really do that? Was he planning on hurting me? I closed my eyes, hearing all the footsteps hurry past, part of me hoping that somebody would notice that I was here and another part hoping nobody would so as not to incur any further wrath from this child.

Soon the footsteps settled down, there not seeming to be anyone else in the hallway anymore other than us... and as soon as it seemed the coast was clear, the boy finally tutted to himself, releasing his grasp on me and moving backwards, leaving me to soundlessly sit there on the windowsill in a daze. The boy turned back to the curtains, peeking through them to make sure nobody was there... before he then sighed, opening up the curtains rather loudly, the noise making me jump as it was then as the curtains settled that the boy looked back to me from the corner of his eyes, talking in quite a calm fashion all things considered.

"Name?" He simply asked as my mind was still trying to come to terms with my situation as I looked up to him at a loss.

"Huh?" I answered quietly as the boy turned to face me, talking in an even harsher tone.

"I said, give me your name!" He demanded as I flinched, backing up away from him.

"O-Oh... An-My name is Antoinette Silverston... I-I'm new here..." I responded meekly, lowering my head to look away from him. Funny my voice seemed to be trembling...

"Antoinette huh...?" The boy commented as it was then that the boy raised his foot and stomped it beside me, making my jump even more as I raised my eyes slightly to look at him. The boy wore a rather dark and empty look on his face as he leered at me. "Well then Miss Antoinette Silverston, if any word if what just happened gets out, just know that you will be the first one I come to kill, have you got that?!" The boy then seethed as I found myself instantly and frantically nodding to this, trying my best to nor displease him more. The boy's eyes narrowed faintly. "I see... well then if you understand that..." he uttered, moving away from me again as I finally found myself able to look back up at him, my hands up to my chest in fright. Not even back in Tokyo had I ever met somebody who would threaten to kill me upon our first meeting. Much less a child... yet despite his age, for some reason I had no doubt in my mind that he meant what he just said... It seemed however that he had said all he needed to say now, the boy going off to walk down the opposite direction of the hall, much to my relief.

As he walked off I kept my eyes faced forwards in a panic... just what on earth exactly was that? It was as I was thinking this that the boy decided to say one last thing, his voice making me flinch as he looked back to me.

"Say, by the way... have you ever-" he began, when he then stopped mid sentence, as though he had realised something. When it was then that the interest seemed the fade out his eyes as he then turned away again. "No, never mind..." he simply finished off, only leaving me with more questions than I had started with.

The boy didn't even try to interact with me beyond that, instead he just continued on his way, leaving me to take in just what it was that had happened to me.

I took a good few moments to compute everything that went down in my head, now being alone in the hallway once more. So... there was a child with red eyes come running down the hallway. He seemed to be running away from people, though I never got to see who exactly... then he randomly attacked me and threatened to kill me if I talked...

....

'Yup, I'm still confused...' I summed up to myself, not seeing how things added up. To begin with, why was he running away from people to begin with...? And why was it such a problem that he needed to threaten me so harshly with it... I didn't quite know as I leaned back against the ever humid window behind me, the heat not helping my brain to function. Either way, what I did know what that somebody unpleasant was wandering round the manor right now, somebody I wanted to avoid.

There came a muffled sound of footsteps beside me as part of me felt like running away the moment I heard them. I was just thinking about how I did NOT want to meet that person again, however my split second contemplation to flee was brought to a halt as a familiar voice followed these footsteps.

"Ah, Annie, sorry for the wait, something happened!" Came Sana's voice, a voice I couldn't be happier to hear right now.

"Sana, thank goodness you are here!!" I exclaimed, jumping off the windowsill and rushing over to meet her as Sana met me in the middle, catching her breath as she careful held two cups in her hands.

"Yeah, sorry, alot happened on my way up..." Sana panted, handing my cup over to me as I gladly took it, a relieved smile on my face. I was just glad to have somebody beside me after what just happened.

'-if any word if what just happened gets out, just know that you will be the first one I come to kill-'

I gave a firm expression upon recalling that threat. I may have been ill in my past life, however, I wasn't one to be threatened by some random kid and let them get away with it. I was going to rat him put whether he liked it or not, that'd teach him a lesson on whether or not he should be mean to me!

"Sana actually-" I began when Sana finished drinking her drink, taking a heavy sigh as she placed her one hand to her cheek in distress.

"The manor house is in chaos right now..." Sana cut in before I could even really start, and though I could feel a little upset about being cut in, her statement alone was enough to intrigue me.

"Huh?" I questioned as Sana shook her head.

"Right now, everyone in the manor is trying to look for his highness... he has gone running off somewhere whilst he has a special meeting to attend..." Sana explained, obviously stressed out over the matter as the instant she noted such a thing, I felt my mind blank out.

"Eh?" I muttered

"Oh he's always running, apparently to the older maids he's quite troublesome"

"Sana-"

"They have the royal guards looking for him right now, such a hassle"

"Royal guards?"

"Yes, they are called for issues like this-"

"No- wait, Sana, let me backtrack you a bit" I stammered, trying to get a word in to Sana's nonchalant muttering as she finally stopped to look at me. "Did - Did you say, his highness...?" I then double checked with her as Sana tilted her head at me in puzzlement to my statement.

"Yes, I did... that reminds me, you've never seen his highness have you? That's odd he usually meets with all newcomers formally. He's just a year younger than you, black hair, red eyes-"

"R-r-royalty-" I stammered, my heart turning to stone as Sana's description coincidentally matched up perfectly with that of the you g fellow I just ran into, Sana only becoming more puzzled for a moment... before a hint of surprise hit her face.

"Could it be Annie... Did you not know that this was the manor of the fourth crown prince of Isen?" Sana then asked as I then fell to my knees giving a gasp of shock. "Eh Annie?! What's wrong, are you not feeling well??" Sana exclaimed in shock as a look of dread remained on my face. I had no idea... NO IDEA AT ALL, that the lord of this place was that important... what's more...

'You dumb pig!'

THE LORD OF THIS MANOR AND A PRINCE OF THIS COUNTRY IS SUCH A LITTLE BRAT!!

I came to the realisation with this however as Sana thought to herself, her eyes widening faintly.

"Eh? Could it be that you saw him just now?" She then asked as my expression became rigid, a dry sweat appearing on my face.

'You'll be the first one I kill...'

THERE WAS NO WAY I COULD TAKE THAT THREAT LIGHTLY ANYMORE!!!

I looked over to Sana with a rigid smile before with a small and nervous scoff I shook my head, trying my best to lie about it. If he found out I had told her, there was no doubt at all, he would have me hanged, even if I was just a little kid!

I trembled slightly as I realised just how close I was... to making an enemy of one of the most powerful people in this this world! I definitely had to he more careful from now on... I should most likely pretend I never saw him!

"Hmm... well if you are sure..." Sana mentioned, not really seeming that convinced by my reaction, when it was then there came a small pattering noise from beside us, catching Sana's attention. It was to this sound and her looking out the window, that Sana's eyes then lit up as she ran over to the window.

"Woah, hey look, it finally started to rain!" Sana exclaimed excitedly, going to take a closer look at the window. I looked up over to the window, the sound of rain finally tickling my eyes as though they had been relieved by the noise, Sana rejoicing at how the air would hopefully cool down a little after this... meanwhile I stared at the rainy window with a thoughtful expression on my face... why was it that the prince of this country was do violent... much rather I should be questioning, what sort of meeting was he having to attend, that it made him run away from it...?

The rain continued through till late evening round the manor house, the air remaining stuffy, but at the least being cooler than it was with the rain evaporating away. That being said, there was still no sign of any storm happening any time soon like people had hoped. Much rather the downcast weather lingered over the land as though it was trying to spot something upon it.

There was the sound of giggling and muttering behind me during the night, the other maids rushing around, getting ready to get ready for bed after dinner as meanwhile I sat outside on the balcony of the dorm room, deciding to get some fresh air before sleeping in the humid room we had. At this point of the night, the clouds had cleared up faintly enough for the moon to be shining through them, lighting up the the forever rolling at lands surrounding the manor in a chalky pale blue glow. There was a scent of boiling water in the air as most of the water from the rain fall before had started drying up. Beside me a lamp flickered faintly, it being the only other light besides the moon surrounding me as I looked out to the empty farmland before us... it was pretty... though all things considered, I did miss the pretty and busy neon lights of Tokyo that I could see from out my hospital window in the past... if anything this house felt rather solitary... it was strange for a house belonging to a royal to be so secluded... it was surely extravagant enough, but it was almost like it had been pushed in the middle of nowhere.

There came the sound of people approaching me from behind as I found myself met with the company of Sana and another maid the same age as me, with long black hair done up with a plait and rather dull blue eyes known as Felicia. They were both wearing their night dresses and looked ready to go to bed.

"Hey Annie, the head maid says it's lights out in twenty minutes, so you should start getting ready soon..." Sana told me as I nodded my head to her, looking back out to the flat land before us...

"We haven't had a storm yet..." I mentioned casually, looking up at the sky as Sana gave a small sigh.

"I guess that means it'll be a stuffy day tomorrow too..." she responded, leaning over the balcony slightly, stretching as she did so. "It'd be best if the weather clears, people moods start to go sour in this climate..."

"Indeed, his majesty's mood has been particularly foul as of late..." Felicia spoke up, much to my surprise as I looked back at her. She wasn't much of a talker so it was genuinely surprising to hear her voice.

"Ah, that's right, you were in charge of serving his majesty lunch today... How did that go?" Sana inquired as Felicia silently reflected on it.

"Quieter than usual, seeing as he wasn't actually there for the lunch I made... though I suppose that was for the best, he isn't the best of company..." Felicia responded dully as Sana gave a stiff laugh to this.

"I see... is that so..." She responded awkwardly as it seemed I had found my chance to at least answer some of my questions for today.

"Is that bo- I mean his majesty a bad person?" I stumbled across my words, realising I probably shouldn't address him in such a informal manner, Sana then looking over to me, before a sparkle grew in her eyes as she jumped away from the balcony, turning to Felicia.

"Oh that's right!! Felicia, hear this, Annie didn't know that she was serving the fourth crown prince!" Sana chuckled whilst pointing at me, Felicia giving me a cold look.

"How on earth did you not know that?" She questioned me, her own disbelief at this almost causing her expression to change as I found myself getting a little flustered at this. Was it really that strange for me not to know?

"I- I was adopted to this house quite suddenly... I was only told I was going to ne a maid to a powerful person" I replied quietly as Sana also backed me up.

"Also she never got a formal greeting from his majesty either, so she has no idea of what he looks like!" Sana pointed out as my face went faintly pale to this. Well that last part was a bit of a lie. Felicia closed her eyes, thinking on this.

"Hmm... that is strange..." she commented, almost seeming shocked to hear the news behind her stoic expression. When she then opened her eyes gently and looked at me. "To answer your previous question... it's hard to say whether or not his highness is a bad person as he has never done anything dire before... however you couldn't say he is a good person either..."

"Are you kidding?! There are all sorts of rumours about how vile he is! I haven't worked with him personally, however I hear the elder maids talk about it all the time!" Sana cut in, a paranlid expression on her face. "There are rumours about how he insults the maids and butlers and even throws stuff at them. He purposefully destroys stuff and peers up the maids skirts! There's even rumours that hime has had some staff executed before!!" Sana listed off as my eyes widened to the last part of the list in surprise... so he has had staff he hasn't liked killed before... my shock melted into the furrowing of my brow, a dry snd concerned look on my face. So basically, he was a bad person... a very very bad person!

"Those are rumours... but indeed only rumours, nothing is confirmed..." Felicia reported to Sana who gave a cautious expression to this.

"Yes, but you don't seem willing to deny any of those claims are true. Rumours or not, the fact they exist can tell you a bit about the person he is..." Sana retorted, not seeming to trust Felicia's opinion too much. I couldn't say I disagreed with Sana's point or those rumours in the end. Afterall I did witness first hand just what kind of person he could be like. He didn't seem the least bit prince like at all!

'You will be the first one I kill’

It was still hard to believe that such a young child could hold such power. I mean I supposed I was now a kid myself. He certainly wasn't going out his way to try correct such rumours.

I sighed, leaning over the banister of the balcony, feeling a little deflated. My first week in my new life and already I had a prince and the person I worked for disliking me. Why couldn't I have been reborn as a maid to a normal duke or lord? Why a troublesome prince of all things.

That being said, the concept of a cruel prince seemed to ring a bell in my mind... in fact, it was the same bell I felt ring when I looked into the prince's eyes... deep down, I knew from somewhere, I had seen something like this before... for that matter, even this world and Isen seemed familiar to me in some way, like I had a lucid experience with it before... but... I spent my whole life inside a hospital. So there was no way that could be possible.

The lamps were all blown out as all the maids got into their beds, I myself now clambering into the bed towards the doorway which was my own rather drowsily. A bust day of work made for easy sleep by the end of it. I was pretty sure that the moment I shut my eyes would be the moment I fell asleep.

However oddly enough, despite how completely worn out I was, I found myself unable to settle down, as in the room some maids whispered to one another and others slept. I rolled over in my bed, an uncomfortable expression on my face. A healthy child's body truly had an unbelievable amount of energy to it. I was so used to just sleeping all the time in my past life. Though I supposed that alot had happened today, things were weighing on my mind. Like what was a young prince doing in a house like this on his own? Maybe it was why he was so undisciplined? I decided to look over to Sana, who was trying fall asleep herself in the bed next to me.

"Say Sana..." I whispered, Sana stirring a little as she looked over to me drowsily.

"Huh...? What is it? Can't sleep?" She questioned as I shook my head to this.

"Say... do you think the prince got caught today?" I then asked Sana who tulted her head me.

"You are oddly interested in that fellow aren't you..." she pointed out as I felt at a loss for words. I - I just didn't even know he existed until just now... and given his personality... I was interested to know why he was the way he was. "I'm not sure... most likely however... the only way he would be able to make an escape is if he broke his power seals..." Sana answered as I became a little curious to this.

"Power seals?" I restated, Sana nodding with a yawn.

"His highness, along with others of the royal family, have high mana. Along with the first crown prince has the rare ability to control fire..." she responded, my nerves printing across my face again. Woah so he really could hurt me badly if he wanted to...? Come to think about it, he did mention burning my hair earlier... I decided to move topic and not dwell on that.

"The first crown prince...?" I questioned as Sana raised and eyebrow to me.

"Are you sure you came from an orphanage and not under a rock?" She the asked as I didn't respond to this, acknowledging how my lack of education of this world wasn't going to serve me well. It might be best if I learned to read some of the history and political books this world has... "The first crown prince is the next in line for the throne. Prince Horatio del Reimin du Froature" Sana explained as I squinted to this. So many names... weird ones at that... I guess that was the weird name thing I was told about before... however it was upon realising this, I recalled something crucial I had not yet asked...

"Say Sana, I know this is a weird question again but... what is the name of his highness... the lord of this manor?" I looked to Sana once more, a surprised look coming onto Sana's face, before she then gave a half hearted smile.

"Geez, you're really in the dark aren't you..." She gave another side comment before she then close her eyes with a smile. "His name is Dante du mont Froature..." she responded, starting to fall asleep. Less names huh? Did that have to do with their status to the throne? It was still a weird sounding name nonetheless... yet funnily enough, again there was a large spike of familiarity to it. As though I had heard that exact name before, despite it being so weird and out there. I wonder why it seemed so nostalgic to me... as if it was something from my past life... impossible... there was no chance... for some reason however my body began to break out in a cold sweat, a sinking sensation hitting my stomach...

"I think I'll go to sleep now, thank you for answering all my questions today Sana..." I thanked her quietly, turning onto my back as Sana nodded, half asleep herself.

"No worries, as your mentor, it's what I am here for..." She drowsily cheered as I nestled under my duvet more, pulling it up to my nose.

For an inexplicable reason I felt nervous... about something... I wasn't quite sure what exactly, but maybe it had something to do with that Prince called Dante... and how much he seemed to remind me of something... yes something from my past life...

I began to shut my eyes, settling down for a well deserved sleep as my mine also buzzed for an answer to my question. He definitely reminded me of something from Tokyo... in fact I think it was something I read... or played... an otome??

Huh it's coming back to me now... he reminds me somewhat of the prince from the very last otome game I was able to play on my own... a game called the tyrant king...

In fact the semblance was uncanny to that of the game... I swear even the name and the country of the the game was the same...

Haha...

Ha...

Oh...

Oh no...

I shot up from my bed in a start, giving a loud and panicked cry which awoke all the other maids in the room in a panic.

"A-Annie?! What's wrong?!" Sana questioned as I gripped onto my bed sheets in complete fear.

Dearest mother and father in another world,

It seems that I have come face to face with a very very bad person...!!
