Chapter 9 (Again)

As Zeya had escaped, all the alarms in the monastery broke out. The cyborgs and monk bandits were busy searching for them.

Saw Nan Mon and Zeya in an immense hallway, figuring out where to go next. Saw Nan Mon was confused because there were so many hallways with similar appearances. After a wrong turn, they were in front of a large metal door. Not knowing what to do next, Zeya punched it with his fist and burst it open. There they saw a freezing room. At first, they weren’t interested in it. But then, Zeya noticed several human-sized capsules on the wall.

“Help….,” a soft and weak voice appeared.

Without hesitation, Zeya and Saw Nan Mon went inside the freezing room, trying to figure out where the voice came from.

“Help!” “Help….,” more voices appeared.

“The Capsules!” Saw Nan Mon said, and Zeya went nearer to them. He broke one of them barehanded.

Inside was a well-built Burmese boy of the same age as Zeya. The boy looked sick or feeling ill. He couldn’t get himself out of the capsule, so Zeya had to help him. Zeya looked at the boy carefully and found metal devices implanted on his chest, hands, and legs. Saw Nan Mon use her magic powers and broked the other capsules. Men and some women aged 20 to 30 and teenage boys came out of the metal capsules, being humble and weak. All of them had metal devices implanted in their bodies.

“Oh, no,” Zeya mourned after seeing his father, Nga Shwe, was one of these people. His father didn’t recognize him.

“They are getting turned into metal monsters (Cyborgs),” said Saw Nan Mon. Zeya was thinking about how to save them. These people were weak and couldn’t even get up on their own.

“Can you transport them to a safe place like when you took me to the Weizzas’ hall,” he asked Saw Nan Mon.

“It’ll take so much time to use that spell, especially to take this amount of people,”

“Bang!!” “Gree!!” Noises appeared, and both of them knew what was coming. Two ghost-like robots appeared. And they began to attack the weak people who had come out of the capsules. Zeya and Saw Nan Mon started to defend these people. Zeya flew and punched the face of the male-looking robot while Saw Nan Mon was preparing to use her power.

“Hey, Saw Nan, don’t use the venomous ball again!!” Zeya warmed her, calling her by a shortened name. She looked at him, nodded, and shot a ball of purple flame at the female robot. At first, the robot shows no effects. But then, it fell. Its metals became rusted, and in a short time, it turned into a rusted robot.

“The curse flame of fast aging. It seems to work well even on these metallic monsters,” Saw Nan Mon whispered. Upon seeing his companion’s death, the male-looking robot turned back to attack Saw Nan Mon. But before he could get to her, Zeya punched him hard, making a big hole in the robot’s chest.

Saw Nan Mon, then sat on the ground and started casting a spell. A spell that would take everyone in the room to a safe place. At the same time, the cyborg guards came inside the chamber. Zeya had to fight them, not letting them interrupt Saw Nan Mon. He used his power of lifting things. It was a bit hard to control cyborgs’ minds.

“Bang!!!” one of the weak people exploded. Both Zeya and Saw Nan Mon were shocked. The exploded person was a teenage boy, and his body parts were spread all over the chamber.

“Bang!!!” “Bang!!!” Two more people exploded. Everyone in the room was terrified.

“You know… they are my cyborgs. I can control them in whatever I want. Their lives are in my hand,” the cold voice of Aizra (Aizzagawna) appeared.

“Even if you take them to a safe place, they are still in my hand. But if you two surrender, I’m sure there will be no explosion,” Aizra said while coming inside the room.

Zeya and Saw Nan Mon looked at each other. They had no other ideas.
