Chapter 6:

The kiss

Playing With Fire

On Friday, Yuri paid Cara a visit in her office. Well, Naomi's office but Cara's for now.

It was 11:00 pm now and they were working a little overtime today, probably because it was Friday and she needed to rest on Saturday and Sunday.

"Still working?," he asked.

"Yeah," she said.

"It's not your official office, though. Then why?," he asked.

"It's just that I think of it as mine," she told him.

"Oh," he said.

"Can't do your job properly if you think of it as someone else's," she told him.

"What?," he said.

Cara started laughing at that stupid thing she just said.

"Why don't you come work in my office?," he said.

"Why?," she asked.

"It's kinda lonely alone in an office. That's why. Don't think that I have dirty thoughts, ok?," he told her.

"Okay. You  should go. I'll be there soon," she said.

With that he left, and after 10 minutes, she came just like she said.

They started working quietly. He was working in his chair. Meanwhile, she was working on the couch.

After a while, Yuri walked towards her but accidentally slipped and fell on top of her. She was dumbfounded at that. She couldn't move or say anything. She just closed her eyes because she was scared but he took it another way. Him, without question, slammed his lips on hers. She didn't really like that. But it was her first kiss and his, too. So, they stayed like that for a minute.

They say your first kiss tastes like lemon, but it was coffee for them because they had coffee earlier.

He got up with a red blush on his face. The same for Cara.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean that. I just did that in the heat of the moment," he said.

"Yeah. I'm sorry, too. I'm really sorry," she told him.

"But you did like that, right?," he asked as he gulped.

"What?," she asked, confused.

"I mean, it was good. Wasn't it?," he asked.

"Yeah. I guess it was. Why?," she asked, blushing.

"Wanna try it again?," he asked.

"What the-," she tried to say.

But he didn't wait for her to speak but kissed her again.

They stopped after what was like 15 minutes.

"I gotta go," she said, blushing.

"Why?," he said.

"I don't like this. I have to go. My brother will kill me if I get home late. Even Mel's gone now, so I'll be dead if I don't come up with a good excuse!," she said, running off.

She didn't give him time to think or do anything and just left the building.
