Chapter 12:

Chapter 7. The Disappearance of Ruan (II)

The Spirit In Me

Looking to the side, he saw a crowd of children next to their parents. One of the popular classmates Ruan was at odds with, Liolan, was showing off the advanced Energia weapon his parents had bought him. A spoiled blond boy, whose family's wealth radiates from him.

The rest of the children in his class looked at him as they were amazed at his talent. At moments, he was swinging a long pole and at the end of it, the head of an axe.

Ruan hated that he was showing off. In his eyes, the act was not aimed at his audience. It was aimed at him.

"He's mocking me." Ruan stated to himself with fury.

The classroom teacher clapped her hands, praising the panting student as he struggled to maintain his Energia weapon.

When an Energia weapon is new to the user, and especially at such a young age, using it is not easy.

The user has to concentrate all his strength to one point in a powerful and stable way, in order to keep the weapon working. The bigger the weapon, the harder it gets. The student, who was already tired, tried again.

The block of Energia in his hand twitched and moved around the open iod metal as he tried harder and harder to produce the same Energia weapon at full display one more time in front of the large crowd that had already spread out around him.

He concentrated on his right palm as he held it with his left palm in front of his face. He saw the block of Energia getting bigger and bigger, when suddenly, from within his Energia, a squeezed fist was revealed.

The punch hit him in his face. He fell to the floor and began crying. Above him, stood Ruan, fist clenched and a look of rage in his eyes.

Exclamations of wonder were heard from the children and their parents who surrounded them.

Despite the commotion, Ruan was determined to keep hitting Liolan. As he approached him threateningly a second time, he was suddenly lifted up.

"What's going on here?!" The teacher grumbled angrily, "What are you doing Ruan?! Why did you hit Liolan?!" The teacher yelled at him, red with embarrassment in front of the crowd of angry parents. Blushing, she walked with him away from Liolan who was injured on the floor.

"Whose child is this?!" asked one of the parents in a complaint. "This isn't his first time! My daughter has complained about him dozens of times! Why isn't anyone doing something about it?!" One of the mothers asked angrily. "What does it matter if he is only a child?!" asked another one upset.

"Leave me alone!" Ruan shouted as he tried to hit the teacher in the air, sending punches everywhere. "I won't leave you until you calmed down!" The teacher replied angrily to Ruan. Ruan continued to swing his fists in the air until he became tired and exhausted. "Have you calmed down yet?!" asked the teacher with a weary, tired look. With an annoyed look of his own and irritated hands crossing, he did not answer but did not riot.

She placed him gently on the floor. "Ruan, explain your behavior!" she called out with a grumpy tone. But quickly, Ruan kicked her foot and ran out of the school. "Ruan! Wait!" The teacher yelled at him as she reached out her hand as he ran away.

For a moment, she looked furious, but her look quickly changed to a look of concern as she gathered her hand back to her side.

The other children looked at Ruan as he ran far outside the school's boundaries. As he ran, tears fell to the ground. "I'll show them! I'll pay them back for what they did to me! It's not fair! It's not right!" he screamed in his mind, running through the dark streets.
