Chapter 1: Moving, little family members and invitations

For making our moving easier, I lent everyone Item box.

Previously, Goli and Alette had level of loyalty too low for using it. But even with level 10 Loyalty, Ruzu, Taru and Kiira can only use one Supreme level skill at a time.

„It’s nice and all, but it lacks decorations,“ Alette said as she placed her table from Item box to her room.

„Um… I know you are right… but why are you here?“

„Two of your finacées are moving here, except for the princess and Lulu, are they not?“

„Well, yes, but what’s your point?“

„Well if everyone’s doing it, then I should too! Oh, and Nina will be coming here too, I heard.“

„Urgh… yes, uncle asked me to look after her… he’s deffinitely trying to make me marry her…“

„Is that a problem?“

„I have four fiancées… Just the number seems to grow rapidly every day… just yesterday I recieved fifty marriage proposals from different hoseholds… some are even two times older then me“

„But you turned every single one down, right?“

What’s with that smile?! That’s creepy!

„Of course, I said it multiple times, but I will only marry girls I love.“

With those words Alette turned bright red and started moving furniture with hihi sounds. I, in the meanwhile, silently left.

„So moving is going easy for you?“ Father asked me while sipping tea in the garden.

Recently mother developed weird tastes so father usually came here for lunch and afternoon tea. Still, he looks a little malnourished.

Speaking of mother, doctor predicted the child birth in three weeks, but it’s already one month more than that. Given that this happened once before, everyone was preparing for incoming twins.

„Yes, although I didn’t expect you allowing Alette to move here.“

„You were her favorite family member, so even if I didn’t allowed her, she would still come here.“

„That’s… true, I guess.“

„Okay, now listen son,“ father got suddenly serious, „Remember to always make your wives happy. You have four on your neck so you will have harder time then I did, so promise me that you will always put your family’s happiness above all else.“

„Of course father. Family is always on first place for me. If someone goes against my family… then I will crush them flat,“ I said with the darkest voice I ever made.

„Yup… just like your mother… I don’t think you will have any problems in school or in life. On that note, are you prepared for showing off your mansion?“

„Huh? Why should I show off my mansion?“

„It’s question of noble’s status. Your decorations, served food, servants, even guests you invite are judged. It also gives good chance to introduce yourself to your neighbours.“

„Urgh…“

„Stop with that sour face, here, take this,“ father said and handed me a note pad.

„What is this?“

„List of nobles in the capital. Their likes, dislikes, if they are magic orientated or sword oriented.“

„Wow! Thanks Father!“

„Remember that this is your debut as a head of noble family, from now onward I won’t be able to help you officialy.“

„I understand father. If you excuse me, I will go prepare invitations.“

„You should prepare them as soon as you can. Remember that for anyone of Earl rank or higher you have to write them personally.“

„Of course, I’m on it.“

I finished writing inviations for every Earl ranked nobles in less then an hour and as I was preparing to write invitations to the only marquis family in capital, the Glintel family, a message came in. The kids were on their way.

„All right, I’m going there right away, Kiira, Taru come here!“

„Yeah!“ they replied and grabbed my hands.

I used transfer to get to my old room and from there I run towards where my father was. The study. There, father was going from place to place and I could see that he wasn’t able to rest ever since he returned from my mansion.

„I came father.“

„That was fast, thanks…“ father said nervously.

Men are not allowed to be in same room with their partners during child birth becouse of tradition of this world so we had to wait outside. Nevertheless we could still hear mother’s voice from the other side of the mansion.

It took at least an hour so Kiira made us some tea and returned to her position by my side. Taru was currently with mother.

Father was still walking from place to place when Taru came in.

„The kids are delivered. Two girls, both healthy,“ she smiled.

„Oh! I’m coming dear!“ Father practically shot out of the room like homing arrow.

„Fuuu, that was tiring…“ Taru said as she fell down to the seat next to me.

„I wonder… how our kids will look…“ Kiira said and turned beet-red.

„Hmm…“ Taru on other side turned bright red as well.

Hold on, how many kids are you two planning to have?! Wait why are you suddenly touching my knees?

Before I noticed it, they both were pushing their shoulders against me.

„Well, as long as they are healthy and happy, I will be happy as well,“ I said as I hugged them closely. And father look at us with somewhat complicated look.

After finishing our tea, father returned with maid in tow, both holding one child.

„Leo, meet your younger sisters.“

I walked to them and had to smile, both of them were smiling in their sleep.

„Leo, we decided that you should be their godfather.“

„Huh? Really? W-wait are you sure about that?“

„Yeah, we would usually asked one of our retainers, but you have title of your own so it would be easier for us. Could you gave them their first names then?“

The usual naming system in this kingdom is that godfather chooses one name and the parents the other. Also parents have right to choose if the name given by godfather will be first or second. No need to say that allowing someone giving first name is rarely seen.

„I understood father… What about Saki and Riho? Like first daughters of the Netrose family ancestor? They were twins too, after all.“

„Those are good names,“ father smiled.

Ancestor of Netrose family, Gavin Hirano Netrose, me and my brother Gavin are named after him, while Sister Hina is named after the ancestor’s wife who was called Grand summoner back then, Hina Alette Netrose.

After that we returned home and decided to meet mother after she rest for some more time.

„Urgh… so many invitations… I’m sick of it already…“

I was finishing invitations for five dukes and Setto brought me invitations he finished for everyone from baronet rank or higher.

The reason for not inviting Hereditary knights is that they are seen as nobles with fake title in the capital. And even though I am engaged to the princess, I can’t invite the king, that’s something only Grand duke can do.

„Great work Count-sama, should I send them?“

„Please do Setto, I finished my invitations already.“

„Oh, you didn’t invite Margrave Varon?“

„Nah, that guy apparently isn’t in the capital, becouse something happened in north and he was send to investigate.“

„It’s rare for nobles to take action.“

„You say rare, but I say shady. That guy was giving Kiira and Ruzu lustful looks when we were granted our titles. And I heard from grandfather that many elvish adventurers quited their job in his territory and disappear right after that.“

„Are you planning to disband another noble family my lord?“

Who even am I in your eyes Setto-kun?

„No, but I don’t want to be on friendly terms with him either,“ I shrugged.

Now that I have all the invitations send, I have to come up with some food and drinks to go along with it…

„Leave food and drinks to me!!!“ Kiira jumped in the room with a salute, Taru gigling behind her. What’s so funny here?

„You picked on the exact thing he was thinking about, Kiira. Darling, we will take care of the food. You can count on us.“

„That’s what I’m scared of. Kiira could never cook anyting except minute rice. And you Taru failed even with boiling water so this is a big flat no.“

„Then let me do it! I know many recipies nobles would like!“ Alette added.

I wanted to refute her, but then I found out that she had level 7 Cooking skill. „Okay, I will leave it to you Alette.“

„You have nothing to worry about! I will teach them my tricks so even these two can pull off passible dishes! And I will have them teach me about that rice thing!“

I completly forgot that some crops doesn’t exist in this world. There are no pineapples, olives, rice, carrots and turnip cabbages to name a few… maybe I could make them with Nature control, I did made an apple tree from branch of oak tree after all.

With problem of food and drinks resolved and invitations send, I decided to visit the church to speak with the Skill god again.
