Farewell, sister Bei...

The man growled

"Lan Du, I will give you one last warning, comply or I will have to-"

"Have to what? I'm a very impatient person, another word and my hand will start trembling, when my hands tremble, I can't control it well, so there might be a few casualties" Lan Du chuckled as she held the dagger in her hand.

The man gritted his teeth, then, a stern vice rang from behind him

"Lan Du, enough, we will give you a proper explanation, but let them get proper treatment" A strong built man walked out, he didn't have a shirt, but his muscles bulged and his bald head shone. There was a long scar running down the back of his head and chest.

"Boss, it's not like I don't want to let these poor lads get treated, but someone wouldn't let me, I've asked him many times in fact, otherwise, how can I have the heart to hurt them" Lan Du said innocently

The bald man sighed

"Kang Ren, explain" He stared at the man coldly and said

The man from the discipline group shuddered

"I-It's all him, he went crazy and hurt my men" He shouted as he threw all the blame to Lan Du

Lan Du giggled, and a dagger went flying, stabbing deep into the ground in front of Kang Ren who jumped back in fright.

"Oops, my bad, I heard some very random crap and my hand suddenly began trembling" Lan Du said playfully

'Tremble my ass! What type of trembling hand can throw a dagger into the stone ground!'

The bald man glared at Kang Ren

"Enough, I've heard all I need to hear, Lan Du, I know you're close to Bei Bei, but you need to calm down, as for you, using your authority to suppress a junior while also not punishing a man for his crimes because he's your nephew, you both will be punished, Lan Du, Kang Ren, will you accept the punishment" He stomped his feet and shouted.

Lan Du jumped down from the pile of bodies

"Naturally, it's just some collateral damage and medical fees, nothing serious" Lan Du tossed a card over to him and said calmly.

The man scanned the card

"It's barely enough, Kang Ren, how about you" He glared at him and said, he was especially angry towards him.

Even some higher ups sees Lan Du as the future of the underworld organisation, yet Kang Ren actually caused the death of a person they can use to tie her down! Now, they can only rely on Xiao Bai, the only remaining person close to her in this organisation.

"I-I will accept my punishment" He looked down and said helplessly

The bald man sneered

"Call your nephew over, he will forever stay as a low rank member from now on, if he dares cause any more trouble, I wouldn't mind sending him into Lan Du's hands, as for you, you will be demoted down to a high rank manager" He waved his hand and left

Lan Du's eyes slowly died down, she walked over to sister Bei's corpse and knelt down beside her.

"I was unable to be there for you, you have treated my with care over the years, let me give you my gratitude and send you off personally, farewell...sister Bei" Lan Du said slowly, her eyes was watery but she held it all in.

She lifted the corpse and placed it slowly in the prepared coffin.

"Did she say anything before she died" Lan Du asked

The group nodded

"She wanted you to give her the final farewell, incinerate her body and keep her ash with you at all times" A man said slowly, he had known sister Bei for a while, in fact, they were friends, it's just that she had never accepted his feelings.

But currently, he wished the best for her

Lan Du bit down on her lips

"Burn her body for me, I don't know the process, but I will be there for every step of the way" Lan Du said lightly as she closed the coffin.

They nodded, the process didn't take long, soon, all that was left of her was a pile of ashes and Lan Du slowly poured them into a glass tube. She wrapped it up with cloth and placed it carefully in her bag.

"You will be with me wherever I go, sister Bei, just like the old days"  Lan Du smiled warmly and stood up slowly, she then headed to the elevator.

She was surprised to see that it was already fixed in the few minutes she was staying in the room, though the door was still under maintenance. Lan Du went back to the top floor, she didn't seek revenge for what happened to sister Bei, after all, she knew what it meant to be a lower rank member.

They become dispensable fodder that goes on missions that usually means death. And being demoted from a master rank manager is rougher, as there are already very few who can make it to that rank.

When she got out, she saw Xiao Bai asleep in the car

'Poor lad, he was quite close to her as well, must have cried himself to sleep' Lan Du covered him with a blanket and started the car.

'I won't get stopped by a police later for not having a license...right?'

Lan Du shrugged her shoulders and drove off, she drove in the direction of where the bus was, to her surprise they were still there. She didn't get off the car right away, she shook Xiao Bai gently.

"Xiao Bai, sister Bei won't be with us anymore, but I hope you can stay strong, after all, you're my manager, I need to go now, but don't fall into depression" Lan Du said and got out, she walked over to the bus and got on.

But the atmosphere was strange, she looked around and everyone was seated quietly, making no sound at all. She also saw some unfamiliar people on the bus.

"Did I miss something?" Lan Du asked

Then, she felt a cold object stick to the back of her head

"Don't move, get on the ground before I bust a hole in your skull" A cold voice came from behind and said

Lan Du sighed

"You see, to intimidate someone, you need to first be...intimidating, look at your empty words, get on the ground or I'll shoot you, you know what? Let me give you an example" Lan Du turned and elbowed the man's chin, she then grabbed him by the throat and stuck a dagger into his thighs.

"You see, this is how you make a threat, now listen closely" Lan Du cleared her throat

"Maggots who sneaked onto the bus, stand up before I rip shreds off his legs and make you all watch his guts spill out his stomach while tearing out organs from his mouth" Lan Du said casually, in fact, there was a hint of playfulness in her tone.

The students were all speechless, they looked around but received the fierce gazes of the invaders.

"Brat, do you know who you're dealing with? Cheh, we are from the Underworld Organisation, touch our people and you will never see the light of day" One of the man said coldly

Lan Du paused, she glanced at instructor Lu and Guan ye who sat there obediently

"Is that seriously the reason you two didn't take out these clowns?" She asked with doubtful look in her eyes, hoping she was wrong.

The two seemed serious and nodded

Lan Du groaned

"Screw it, alright, change of plans" Lan Du tossed the man aside

"Let me ask you first, what rank are you all?" Lan Du asked the group

The group didn't reply

"Pfft, so you're just low ranked cannon fodder, hilarious" Lan Du leaned out the bus

"Oi, Xiao Bai, a few low ranks want to mess with me, get over here and clean them up" Lan Du called out playfully, she had a mischievous smile on her face as she spoke.

The group were all stunned, so were the students, what was the point of calling someone over? They didn't understand what she was doing, but Xiao Bai slowly walked over. Lan Du whispered some words into his ears and chuckled.

Xiao Bai still seemed a bit off, but he was in a much better mood now, he glared at the group in the bus.

"A few low ranks dare to block my friend? Get out the bus before I contact the nearest branch, attacking a vehicle under the Underworld's name is a big offence, I know all the missions given out, this is not one of them" He took out his mid-rank manager card and said coldly

When they saw the mid rank card, they shuddered, they all dropped to their knees.

"We were paid by an unknown employer, he said to attack this bus and kill the white haired one" They all began pleading for mercy

Xiao Bai growled and had them all leave the bus immediately

Lan Du watched playfully, she didn't reveal her high rank status since it would cause unnecessary trouble, but if she had a mid rank friend, it was much easier to explain.

"Lan Du, who is he?" Instructor Lu asked, he knew about the Underworld.

'The underworld is an organisation that rivals even the federation, how can Lan Du know someone from there? But he is only a mid-rank, so it shouldn't be impossible'

Lan Du glanced at Xiao Bai

"Xiao Bai, call me when you meet any trouble, also...you still haven't sent me a list of names yet, hehehehe, you know what I want" Her eyes were sadistically cold and full of enthusiasm, she ignored Instructor Lu's question as she spoke.

Xiao Bai shuddered

"Y-Yes" He replied with a frightened expression

Lan Du then walked to the back where the twins were

"Did those men scare you? If so, I'll go rip out a few of their disposable organs" Lan Du said in a comforting manner, but her words made some people shudder at the thought.

The two shook their heads

"Really? Don't be scared to tell me, they can't do anything to me so ripping a few organs out won't be a problem" Lan Du added

The two of them stared at Lan Du, they had a dark expression

"Lan Du...we just received a phone call not long ago from our grandparents, and they want us to return" They said bitterly

Lan Du frowned lightly

"Is it due to the incoming war?" She asked

The two nodded

"And they said they didn't want us to be near a playboy, we tried to explain it but they wouldn't listen, their standing in the military is also very high, so my mother can't do much either, there is also the fact that they have been helping us in the shadows when our father was abusing us" The two said and seemed dispirited

Lan Du nodded her head

"Then just take me along with you, in fact, I'm on their side, the incoming war is dangerous, I won't stop them from taking you two, after all, I want you both to be safe, currently, I can't even protect those around me, if it is as you say, your grandparents will be able to protect you two, as for being a playboy...I'll discuss it with them" Lan Du scratched the side of her face and said lightly

The twins didn't know how they respond, they felt touched that Lan Du cares for their safety, yet they felt a bit disappointed that she also wants them to stay with their grandparents.

Lan Du then pinched thier noses

"Don't be sad, I'll contact you two often, if your grandparents try to stop me, I'll just have to fight my way through" Lan Du chuckled as she said confidently.

Hearing this, they felt more reassured, they then saw Lan Du lean on Yuan Cai's seat as she smacked the back of his head.

"As for you, what were you doing when the bus was over run? Your father is Yuan Min, not even the Underworld will be able to do anything to you if you killed a few low ranking maggots, you have the strength, you also have the insight, but what did you do? You sat there like an idiot as they held everyone else hostage" Lan Du had cold eyes

Guan Ye grabbed Lan Du's shoulders

"It wasn't his fault, they had guns so naturally he couldn't risk injring other students, not everyone is like you" He said sternly, Lan Du has never seen Guan Ye  give her this look before.

Lan Du however smirked

"I'm not saying he did anything wrong, but let me tell you, his current strength is beyond a dragon rank, he can knock them all down in matter of seconds without them being abel to react, he's too kind heaarted like his father said, it's pathetic" Lan Du turned her head and walked out the bus, they then heard the sound of Lan Du's laughter as the men outside screamed their lungs out.

Soon, they saw Lan Du walk in with blood on her face, but she wore a sweet and joyous smile.

"Sometimes, a little stress relieve is necessary, don't you agree?" Lan Du said gently

No one dared to shake their heads, they all nodded upon seeing her bloodies face. Lan Du took out a wet cloth and wiped the blood from her face.

"We can go now, Xiao Bai will clean up my mess, they're just cannon fodder anyways, as for the one who organised this attack, I'll search for them when I have time"

Lan Du sat back down and her head was suddenly struck by a wave of dizziness, she held her head and leaned her head back.

'I overused my spirtual strength in order to maintain my physical strength' She thought to herself as she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Like earlier, she returned to her consciousness and saw Blood Empress flying around freely. Upon seeing Lan Du, it flew over happily.

"Yayi, yiyaya" The little thing called out with a big smile, if Lan Du had heart problems, she might have had a heart attack due to her cuteness.

"You little thing, you're too adorable" Lan Du stroked it's head and sat down.

"SInce I'm here, might as well familiarise myself with your skills" Lan Du bit her thumb and let the blood drip down onto the ground.

She then spread out her hand and the blood pool expanded.

"This skill is quite taxing" She muttered, she then sunk into the blood and moved around freely, as if that place was a second home, she had no trouble moving around.

She then reached out her hand out of the blood pool

"It seems I can pull things down here...hehehe, blood empress, would people drown if I pull them down here?" Lan Duturned to blood empress and asked.

Blood Empress gave her a nod

"Yiya" It said sweetly

Lan Du then waved her hand, spikes shot down inside the blood puddle, the underwater like area was now filled with blood blades that are sharper than steel. She then jumped out from the puddle.

"Interesting" Lan Du then began playing using the blood, she tried to shape the blood into different shapes.

She slowly shaped it into herself, a smile rose to her face the moment it was formed.

"Yiya" The Blood Empress floated in front of the blood copy and turned to Lan Du with a puzzled expression, it then turned back and saw that the blood copy doubled.

Lan Du rubbed her chin

"They can make exact replicas, but they are completely red, seems that the blood can change forms but not colour" But that didn't make Lan Du dispirited

"Yi Yi" The blood empress flew around her with a curious expression

"Can this thing move on command or do I need to control it?" Lan Du wondered, she used her spiritual strength to try and connect with the blood clone.

She then lifted one arm and the blood clone did the same. Lan Du frowned lightly as she removed the connection between them.

"This is very mentally taxing, it doubles the brain capacity required to do something" Lan Du muttered, she stared at the clone.

"Blood Empress, can you control it?" Lan Du turned to her and asked

Blood Empress smiled and flew around, the blood clone started moving and opened it's mouth.

"Yiya" It suddenly said

Lan Du couldn't help but laugh, the blood empress then started moving the clone. It walked around and jumped, but the movements were sloppy.

"Iya" The Blood Empress looked in Lan Du's direction with a depressed look as her movements were to sloppy.

Lan Du rubbed her head

"You can keep playing, I will go now"

The blood empress waved its tiny hand as Lan Du's consciouness slowly drifted back. She woke up and felt more energised, but to her surprise, she was on a bed and not on the bus. She looked around and saw Xie Jing and XIe Ying laying beside her.

She quicky checked her clothes and let out a sigh or relief when she realised they only wiped her face clean, her clothes were untouched.
