Blood Empress's power

Xiao Bai laid on the bed, his eyelids trembled before he slowly opened his eyes. He looked around and didn't see Lan Du anywhere, but he heard the sound of water running in the bathroom.

"Lan Du?" He called out

No reply... Lan Du who was inside the shower had a tired expression, her spiritual strength was drained and she had to endure hours of pain that normal humans cannot withstand.

She leaned on the shower wall and let the warm water run over her, she touched her chest and felt a warm existence inside her. She knew it was the Blood Empress, she smiled lightly.

'Once I construct my domain, it will take after the Blood Empress' blood domain' She then got out of the shower, drying both her body and her hair. She once again began the process of hiding all evidence of her being a female.

She washed her face over and over again, to remove both fatigue and wash out the blood that was still dripping out her eyes.

It didn't stop dripping for a while, only when she felt her spiritual strength recover slightly did the blood stop. She cleaned her face and walked out. She saw Xiao Bai standing in front of the door, with a concerned expression.

"You didn't answer when I called you, I thought something happened to you" He said worryingly

Lan Du smiled and rubbed his head

"I'm beginning to actually think that you are my son, pfft, look at your concerned expression, am I someone to lose out in anything?"

Xiao Bai grumbled

"You're not much older than me" He muttered

Lan Du leaned closer with her ear

"Oh? What did you say? I didn't quite hear you" Lan Du had a wide smile on her face, Xiao Bai flushed as he stuttered.

"I-I said you're not much older than me"

Lan Du laughed

"Now that's where you're wrong, you're older than me, though I never told you my age, I thought it was obvious considering my height when we first met" Lan Du laughed, but then she started coughing.

"Are you alright!" Xiao Bai called out

Lan Du waved her hand

"It's fine, don't worry about me, I was increasing my spiritual strength through an external force so my body needs time to adjust" Lan Du said

'My spiritual strength is already close to the peak of royal spirit, once blood empress grows a bit, my spiritual strength will break past 10 000 and enter the domain realm' Lan Du thought to herself, for the past few years, she has been using many treasures such as the spirit dew to enhance herself.

Though it was less effective every time she used it, she had no problem acquiring a large amount, but now, spirit dew is close to being useless to her so she sells it instead.

"What did you use to cause such a big reaction?" He asked

Lan Du flicked his nose

"Don't ask too many questions, drive me to the city entrance, I need to leave soon, I'll call you when I take on another mission, but call me if anyone picks on you again, you're my manager so I need to watch over you" Lan Du said and left the room, leaving the flustered Xiao Bai behind.

'That Lan Du... it'll be lonely when he isn't around' He thought to himself and followed behind, they entered the car and he dropped Lan Du off near an alley, so fewer people will see her.

Xiao Bai, if you ever get lonely, you can come to me, I have dozens of training methods to strengthen you and keep your mind occupied" Lan Du grinned and got out the car.

"Get lost" Xiao Bai cursed, hearing Lan Du mention her training, he shuddered and drove off immediately.

Lan Du chuckled, her face was a little pale but she wore the skin mask which covered it up. She walked to the front where she saw her other classmates and instructor Lu standing nearby. There was a large transportation in front of them and they seemed to be waiting for her.

She walked over and smiled

"Did I make you all wait for long?"

Guan Ye who was by the side noticed something was strange about Lan Du, he walked over and whispered into her ears.

"Why did your aura reduce by so much, before, I'd tremble just from feeling it, now, I don't seem to sense anything" He asked

Lan Du was stunned for a moment before replying quietly

"Something came up yesterday and overused my spiritual strength, so now I'm pretty much weakened by more than fifty percent" Lan Du said with a serious expression.

Guan Ye lifted a brow and turned to Yuan Cai

"Did something happen to him yesterday?" He asked

Yuan Cai shook his head, but there was a trace of hesitation and doubt in his eyes as he did so. Guan ye took notice of this.

"Speak" He said

Lan Du smacked the back of his head

"Keep asking and you'll be the first person I hang when I recover" Lan Du said coldly

She then walked over to the twins who seemed to be worried about her, they haven't seen her all night and when Yuan Cai said she met up with some friends, the only got more worried.

It wasn't that they didn't trust Lan Du, but they didn't trust Yuan Cai who they have just met. Lan Du gave them a bright smile as caressed their heads.

"We can go now, I'm quite tired from last night" Lan Du yawned and got o to the bus, she sat at the very back and leaned her head back. Xie Jing and Xie Ying sat on the two open sides, which caused some boys in the class to grumble.

Yuan Cai would also often take glances at them, but for some reason, his gaze isn't on the twins but on...Lan Du.

The bus then started up and the trip began, the group didn't know what Lan Du did last night but if she was dead tired from it, it shouldn't be simple.

"He left in the middle of the night to meet some friends and came back tired, hehehe, who wouldn't know what he was doing"

"Bet his friend is also as pretty as the twins"

The boys would take this chance to make fun of Lan Du, after all, they never have the chance to speak up for themselves when Lan Du does anything to them. Now, they wanted to take out all their anger as she slept.

Lan Du was too tired to be bothered so her eyes remained shut, her mind also drifted off and a small sound rang in her head.

"Yaya"

A sweet and adorable voice rang again

"Yayiya"

Lan Du opened her eyes, but she realised she wasn't in the bus, rather, she was inside her own consciousness, she looked around, and the whole area was like an ocean. But instead of water, it was black and star like light shone above her head.

"Iyayay" the voice rang again

Lan Du turned her head and saw a small petite figure standing behind her with a cute tiny face.

"Blood empress" Lan Du smiled and reached out her hand

The blood empress flew over and rubbed her head against Lan Du's hand. It was so cute Lan Du almost lost herself in the cuteness.

"Iya" It cried out cutely

Lan Du wanted to hug the little thing, it had a small red crystal crown floating on it's head and it's robes seem more detailed than when she saw her yesterday.

"No wonder I feel so drained, you were absorbing my spiritual strength like drinking water" Lan Du smiled and rubbed the blood empress' head gently.

"Iyayaya" It flew into Lan Du's embrace and acted cute

Lan Du felt her heart melt at the sight, which girl wouldn't be moved by this bundle of cuteness?

The little fellow then raised one hand, it grabbed Lan Du's finger and bit down.

Lan Du felt a small trace of pain, but it wasn't much, blood started to drip down onto the floor of the subspace. Lan Du was a bit confused but let the blood empress continue.

"IyaIya" It then raised both hands and the blood that was on the ground started to expand at a rapid pace. Lan Du was shocked, she then felt her body start falling and shockingly, she fell into the puddle of her own blood.

When she fell in, it was like she fell into a deep ocean, except the water was red. Lan Du looked around, everything around her was an endless abyss, but she could breathe and move freely.

"Iya" The blood Empress pointed around as if she was teaching Lan Du

Lan Du moved around, then she moved up and when she emerged from the blood, she realised that she was in a different position. A smile crept to her face.

"No wonder the blood empress is known to be one of the fiercest assassins" She got out and stood on top of the puddle of blood. Her clothes were strangely dry despite being inside the puddle, she realised her body was covered by the Blood Empress' spiritual strength which prevented the blood from soaking her.

"Yaya!" The blood empress laughed happily as she raised one finger in the air and the blood shot up like spikes, Lan Du touched the spikes and they were sharper than the twin dragon blades she bought 6 years ago!

She sighed

"I wasted so much money on those two blades, now I can use blood to create blades sharper than them...the blood empress is too damn efficient" She muttered, she gave the blood empress a warm hug and smiled.

"Lass, now that I have made you my spirit, I will never have a second one" She pinched the blood empress' nose and smiled sweetly.

"Iya" The blood empress cried out and struggled

Lan Du laughed and released her, she gave the blood empress a kiss on the forehead and patted her head gently.

"Thank you for showing me your abilities, I'll put them to good use" Lan Du then felt her mind twist and when she opened her eyes, she was back on the bus.

She turned her head to the side and saw the twins sleeping while leaning their heads on her shoulder.

Her phone then started ringing, she picked it up quickly so it wouldn't disturb the twins and held it to her ear. On the other side, a teary and panicked voice rang out to her.

[L-Lan Du, s-sister Bei, she-she, ahhh]

The voice trembled and started crying

"Xiao Bai, what happened to sister Bei, calm down and say it slowly" Lan Du began to trembled, she had known sister Bei for five years now.

[She-She's dead!] Xiao Bai cried out

"What!" Lan Du didn't realise, but her voice was raised and everyone turned to her, wondering why she just shouted.

Lan Du stood up and walked to the driver.

"Stop the bus" She said

The driver stared at her

"What are you doing, get back on your seat, do you know how daangerous it is if you-"

"Shut the hell up, stop the bus or I'll cut of your hands" Lan Du said coldly

The bus driver shuddered and immediately stopped the bus. Lan Du got off the bus and stood at the side. Not long after, a car stopped beside the bus.

Lan Du didn't say anything, she got on the car and closed the door. The people on the bus wwondered who that person was, they then wondered who the young man was.

Xie Jing and Xie Ying rubbed their eyes, they were woken up by the sound but didn't see Lan Du anywhere. Instructor Lu said that she left with an unknown person, even he didn't know where they were going.

Lan Du sat in the car and stared at Xiao Bai

"What happened, tell me everything in detail" Her tone was colder than she has ever been, her eyes filled with rage and anger.

Xiao Bai sniffled as he rubbed his eyes

"A-A newcomer w-was promoted to an elite m-member due to family connections, h-he wanted to force himself onto s-sister Bei, b-but sister wouldn't comply, however, n-no one helped her either, being forced to a c-corner, she-she killed herself to preserve her dignity" Xiao Bai bawled his eyes ou as he cried nonstop, he even had probles driving at this point. Lan Du pulled him out of his seat and sat down on the driver seat.

Her eyes were cold as she stepped on the pedal, the car zoomed past the road and headed back to the branch. Lan Du left Xiao Bai in the car since he was mentally unstable currently, she went down to the second floor, the place was going about like it usally did but the moment Lan Du appeared, peopel shuddered as they knew why she was here.

Lan Di didn't even wait for the scan, she brushed past it, causing an alarm to go off, however, she ignored it and grabbed the closest person.

"You know why I'm here, where is her body" Lan Du said coldly

The man shuddered and replied with a fearful expression

"T-The b-bottom floor" He said

Lan Du tossed him aside and went back in the elevator, but because the alarm went off, it didn't work. Lan Du sneered and punched the floor of the elevator, creating a small hole. Then she tore apart the floor with her hands and climbed down using the wire.

Her actions sent chills down everyone's face, they saw what she did, and knew, if they wer eto be torn rather than the floor, they wouldn't even recognise the oart she ripped off.

It only took Lan Du a few minutes to get down to the very bottom, she then grabbed the closed elevator doors and pried it open. She tore the door as if it was paper and her cold eyes peaked through the steel door.

Gasps came from the other end of the door, they saw bloodthirsty eyes stare into their hearts as Lan Du slowly walked through the door.

"L-Lan Du?" They were shocked, but not surprised, they expected her to come here, just not through such a dramatic fashion.

The people inside lowered their heads

"We tried to stop them...but they held us back, we could only watch helplessly as sister Bei..." Someone stood out and said helplessly. he didn't dare look Lan Du in the eys as tears rolled down his face.

Lan Du walked past him and walked to the centre, there, a cloth covered a figure which seemed to be a body. Lan Du knelt down and slowly removed the cloth. Sister Bei's face was slowly revealed, a peaceful and prideful look, yet so cold and empty.

Lan Du clenched her fists, then, a large group of people barged into the room, the elevator came down and when they came down, they were shocked to see the steel door torn open. They wondered what made the hole, now, they knew the moment they saw Lan Du.

"Member Lan Du, this is already your second offence, state your reason and we shall take you away" A leader like figure walked out, he had a stern and cold face.

Lan Du turned to him

"Who did this" She said slowly

The man didn't seem to care

"What does it have to do with you, humph, she's just a lowly reporter, did you cause a ruckus for this woman? She's just a woman!" The man sneered and said coldly

Lan Du's eyes became colder but she didn't fly into rage

"Lan Du, don't anger him anymore...the man who did this is...his nephew, so he wouldn't stand on your side no matter what" A man whispered over to her.

A smile suddenly crept to Lan Du's face

"Hehehe, a mere master ranked manager actually wants to order me around, so what is you're part of the discipline group? Our last match off didn't end in a satisfying note, lets finish, shall we?" Lan Du's smile was wide and her eyes were filled with excitement.

"Cheh, wasn't satisfying? We broke many of your bones and nearly crippled your spiritual strength, and you still want to continue?" The man sneered

Lan Du laughed even harder

"Yes yes, that was delightful, though, the reaosn I wasn't satisfied was because I only got to cripple half of your men that time, did you bring more this time? Because now, I have an urge to cripple a few more useless pesks, if not for the fact that I haven't spent my contribution points to rank up, did you seriously think I'd only be a high rank member?" Lan Du chuckled, both hands held a blade, a blue and a red.

"I haven't used these babies in years, lets see how well trained your men are this time" Lan Du licked the blade and dashed forward.

Her words shocked everyone, most people only knew that she faught the discipline group, but they didn't know the exact details as everyone was evacuated.

"Are you really going to cause another bloodbath for a woman! Lan Du, you're crazy!" The man roared

Lan Du smiled, as she cut down a man with her blade, a sadistic smile rose to her face as excitement filled her heart.

"You said it, not me, after all, you people are the ones who gave me the title of crazed fiend of the underworld, if I don't act like one, how can I live up to my name"

Lan Du laughed as she slashed down the people one by one, she didn't kill them, but she aimed for joints which causes them to be unable to even stand.

"I'm actually very reasonable, just hand over the one who did this and I'l stop" Lan Du fiddled with her blade as she sat on top of a pile of bodies, the group couldn't get up, much less retaliate.
