The boy with no name

“Forget” was the last word the boy heard from him. The boy thought "Why did he say that? Wait, what did he say? Who was that? Did I talk to someone? I hope they are okay? Who are they? Why do I keep forgetting everything? Did they say something?"

“Remember” was the first thing that popped up in my head. "Did somebody say that? I can’t remember. Anyways this grass feels nice. Wait, why am I lying on the grass?" I opened my eyes and saw that it’s night. I looked around and I seemed to be in a park but I didn’t recognize the park or the buildings surrounding it. However when I tried to think of other parks and towns I realized that he remembers only the famous ones that I have seen on TV and other devices.

Then I tried to think of other stuff, I realized that I have no memories related to who I am and only remember stuff that everyone knows. At that moment I felt a mix of sadness, anger and confusion for what I'm missing but I'm not sure if it was just for my memories or something else that caused me to feel like that. After I calmed down a little, I thought I needed to get some help. I stood up and then noticed that some police were going towards me.

"Stay still!" screamed one of the policemen with a strict tone towards me. I did what the policeman said. "We have gotten reports on illegal superpower usage in this area. Do you know anything about that?" asked the policeman, still keeping a strict tone. "I don't know anything about that. I just woke up" I answered. "So why were you even here in the middle of the night?" asked the policeman.

"I don't know, I don't even know who I am" I answered hoping that the police will help me. The policeman looked at me to see if I was telling the truth and said "Okay, I'm unsure if you are telling the truth however we will bring you to the station anyway". "Sure" I nodded. "First we have to look through your clothes in case you got any weapons" said the policeman and the boy agreed with that.

The police couldn't find anything on me and then they took me to their car to drive me to the station. At the station they were unable to identify me even when we were able to determine that my power let me auto dodge balls that get thrown at me. Then a few days later I was able to see some doctors but they couldn't find anything wrong with my brain and body but they were able to identify my age to in the late teens.

I also did a knowledge test and the result seems to say that I have the knowledge of a first year high school student. After all the tests they determined that the best option that I should do is to start to go to high school. I agreed but I felt that I could handle getting a job too. The police contacted some schools for me and found someone who still had a dormitory I could move into.

Because I was unidentifiable the paperwork took some time but I was able to move in shortly after the summer break started so almost everyone that lives at the dormitory had gone home when I moved in. It felt nice to finally get a real room instead of living at the police station and the hospital, however I had to share the room with someone else. Moving in didn't take much time because I had so little stuff. Just a smartphone, a few sets of clothes and some hygiene products that I got with the help of the police.

After I was done moving in I thought I should look around the area but as I walked out of my room I met a girl that had stayed at the dormitory. She had long silver blonde hair and a cute face. I said "Hello" to her. "Hello. I guess you are Kenshi's new roommate?" she asked while looking a little excited to see me. "Yeah, but I haven't met him yet'' I answered. Her face turned serious and she said "Okay, then I should warn you that he likes to prove he is the strongest so he probably wants to fight you when he sees you".

Then she stopped looking serious and continued "However as long he can see how strong you are he will stop fighting and also he has never hit someone fatally so don't have to worry that you die". I was unsure if she told the truth but I didn't know if my power would be enough to dodge his attacks because of that I thought that I should be careful when I see him. "Anyways, my name is Eirian. What is yours" she asked.

I answered "I don't actually know but I am usually called Speed because I'm fast at dodging". "I hope we can be friends Speed" said Eirian with a big smile but what I didn't know at that time was that in a few months me and her would get involved in an incident that would completely change our lives.
