Chapter 4:

"Ms. Tsundere" and "Mr. Loner" Decides To Go On A Date (Part 2)

I Accidentally Kissed The Known "Miss Tsundere" In Our Class And She Forced Me To Take Responsibilty?!! Isn't It Crazy??!!

I, Kazuhiko Kazushi, am right now on a date with the Ms. Tsundere of our class, Furumi Furimizawa. We are currently at an amusement park far from our school.

She said that we couldn’t have a date near the school as there was a possibility of our classmates seeing us together, so we ended up going to an amusement park far away.

As we entered the amusement park, the colorful, eye-catching scene unfolded before us.

“It’s wonderful, isn’t it?” I muttered.

“Is that how wonderful it is to you?” Furumi responded.

Realizing I had spoken out loud, I felt a bit embarrassed. I couldn’t believe I had said something like that.

“Well… It’s just that… It’s been a really long time since I last came here. If I remember correctly, it was back in third grade of elementary school with both of my parents,” I explained.

Yes, that was the last time I could remember going to an amusement park. Back when my parents were still together, happily living our lives. But well… it all got broken because of Dad.

“Hmm… Is that so…?” Furumi said thoughtfully.

To think I would say something like that on our ‘practice date,’ it already felt like a failure. I was planning to apologize to her when…

“Stop thinking about those things, okay?! We’re here maybe because o-of the agreement but also to ha-have fun, you know?! So don’t say sad things like that and let’s enjoy it!” Furumi said, blushing.

I guess this girl isn’t that bad to be with…

“Thank you, Furumi,” I said.

“N-no problem…” she replied, still blushing.

I wondered why she was blushing like that… Well, for the meantime, we started to look for what we were going to do.

“Hey, Kazuhiko, let’s ride there,” Furumi said, pointing at a crazy roller coaster.

I said crazy because even though I was still standing, it looked like I was going to die just riding it. By the way, I’m not used to riding those as I have a trauma from back then with these things.

While I was debating whether to ride the roller coaster or not, Furumi spoke up.

“Uhh, are you okay? I mean, are you scared of roller coasters?” she asked.

“Y—es…” I admitted.

She laughed. “Pfft… Hahahaha, you’re a boy but scared of roller coasters? It’s so funny!”

“Why are you laughing at me! I mean, it’s normal for me because I’m not used to it and I have trauma about it, okay?! And I’m sure there are boys who are also scared of it too,” I defended myself.

“Yeah, yeah, say whatever you want. Well, if you can’t, let’s find another place!” she said.

“Okay,” I agreed.

For a moment, I thought. It was supposed to be a ‘practice-agreement’ date, but isn’t this how normal dates usually are? Well, even though I thought that, I immediately dismissed the idea. It seemed impossible.

After searching for another place, Furumi found one.

“Why don’t we try that?!” she suggested.

This time, she pointed at a horror house. This is also scary as well! Or that’s what I wanted to say, but I couldn’t let everything go my way. So I just agreed. However…

““Aaaaahhhhhh!!!”” we screamed in unison.

Furumi and I ran out of the horror house as we couldn’t take it anymore.

“Hah… Ha…” Furumi panted.

“Haaaah…” I gasped.

The two of us were clearly exhausted. So even though that was the first place we’d been, we decided to take a rest for now. We headed to a café, or more specifically… a cat café.

“A cat café, huh?” I said. However, Furumi was no longer by my side. After looking around, I found her playing with a cat. The Furumi I saw playing with a cat was no longer the Ms. Tsundere everyone knew but a Furumi in normal girl mode.

Well, in any case, I was glad to see her in normal girl mode as it was unusual. After that, we took our seats and placed our orders.

I ordered a strawberry latte coffee, while Furumi ordered a “Coffee Cat Latte,” which had a cat design in the coffee.

But to think a tsundere like her likes cats, huh?

While waiting for our orders, Furumi started to talk.

“To think you, a boy, are also scared of horror houses. It’s kind of disappointing. You should be brave like my true boyfriend, you know?!” she teased.

“Well, sorry for not being a great ‘fake’ boyfriend,” I replied.

“Anyways, is this really your second time here at an amusement park? Really, what’s your story then?” she asked.

“Do you really want to know about it? It’s just a sad past, you know?” I said.

“It’s fine, I mean, I’m your gir-girlfriend right now… So w-why not?” she stammered.

“I guess so,” I conceded.

I couldn’t argue any further, so I just told her about it. I told her about us—my mother, my father, and me living happily until my father left us for another woman.

“…And so, as you can see, I am now in a single-parent household where only my mom takes care of me. Also, with that, Mom doesn’t have any time to hang out with me since she is working so hard. All I can do is support my mom,” I explained.

“I see, I guess I shouldn’t have asked about it since it must be a painful past for you,” she said.

“Whose fault is it that I started to talk about it?” I retorted.

After a while, our orders came.

“Wow, this looks cute! Let me take a picture of this!” Furumi said with glittering eyes of amazement.

However…

“Hmm! Delicious! This strawberry latte coffee is so good! I really like strawberries!” I exclaimed, acting a bit weirdly.

After a while, we talked about our agreement and other things, and then we left the cat café. And with this, the first half of our date was over, and it was time for the second—or the last—half of our date!

Maybe… something interesting will happen soon… or not?
