Chapter 25 - Coke with lime and a double date night and Basketball

Today is Friday, the last day of school this week.

I woke up in bed Sylvia wakes me up in bed.

“Wake up darling….” This really jumps me off the bed

“Ah shit!!” I pray for subuh and prepared for school. Sylvia and mom prepared breakfast, while Hana and Tama getting ready. Someone in the toilet, to surprised me its Tama and she is not using a towel!! Oh shit!!! I see her whole body, Hana scream at me

Sylvia went out and lectured Tama

Hana took the towel and both of them pull Tama out of the toilet while I got stuck at the wall.

“Ugh…” damn Hana mean kick and Sylvia strong grip hurts my face. I went down to the toilet, and Steward already prepared to school, while reading his books. I went to the bath, after I had done the others is done preparing leaving me alone, but the bus called but I’m still in the bath.

I took my bike, and ride to school. I wonder why the bus driver was in a hurry but I use a different road from the back towards Donggongon once I pass through the quiet road, I reach the pathway to Lido Penampang road and head towards the city. I pass through the hospital and reach the school but it seems that I’m early. No one is here at the moment. I saw Mr Rahman have just arrived.

“Alex you up and early…”

“Its seems some of the road had been block by some broken trucks so I’ve also manage to weave through”

Priscilla arrived with her bike

We both entered the school heading to our class. Seems no one is here. We head to the class.

She is really looking at like she wanted to do something or whatever is it in my imagination. Shit!! I need to get out of it. I better find ways, getting out of this. Why can’t you just hang around like normal people do not just going on a seducing someone.

2nd team - Alex (small forward), Fredickson (Centre), Danish (Power forward), Mikhail (shooting guard), Devinson (point guard)

While Long Man will be either those team to set and ask him to warm up and training the dribbling.

“Got it captain!!” The coach has arrived

Everyone is ready for the match while the crowd is watching.

Team 1 at least Thiru and Frankie could dunk while my team is only Danish but I got another surprised for them. Suddenly Peter approach me

We start in the centre at the starting line up.

Frankie and Fredickson in the starting line up to catch the ball. Frankie easily get the ball and pass to Peter, he charges forward and tried to shoot to the basket but I know it will miss with the way how reckless he shoot. It bounce back, see told ya.

Devinson pass to Mikhail and he shoot it and went in nice!!

Frankie pass to Thiru and pass to Jackson he dribbles his way to the front, Peter is waiting. I’m waiting for a chance to counter a fast break. Peter recklessly enter the centre and Jackson saw the opportunity and pass to him, that’s my cue I steal the ball, and instantly speed through their back line but Peter catch up to me

I stop at the outline and shoot, It went in

Everyone is cheering the team, at least good for their morale.

Danish head forward and pass to Devinson where he pass to me and I pass to Mikhail he is free from no one, because Peter focus on me.

Frankie seems want to change his tactics and use Choong as their main firepower nice move Frankie. Frankie pass to Jackson where he ask Choong to find an open space. And Peter shouted at him but he passed to Choong and he took the shot it went in

We set our pace a bit slower pissing them off. I pass to Fredickson in the centre and he is one on one with Frankie, he need that towering opponent experience. And it work seems his cockiness had taken the bait. He’s blocking me and Frankie shouted

Frankie pass to Peter and I steal the ball back and I speed off and break their defence, I take a long shot it went in.

Team 1 most of them are burn out quickly except Frankie while Team 2 Mikhail and me is not tired. We now know who has the longer stamina.

Looks like Team 1 is fired up while Team 2 is devising a plan

The coach become the referee because I’m not good as a referee

I observe them while Team 1 is look really fired up

In 2 mins I just saw the massive difference between them

“19 : 38!!” They instantly chase back lost points but with Mikhail, Danish, and Devinson is around there is still some firepower with them but they started to struggle

Mikhail started to get tired from Peter relentless blocking, while Devinson managing well leading the team.

“The difference in the team shown really well without you around” Mariam

Devinson pass to Mikhail and he took the shot but Peter tried to block it, but its a fake and pass to Devinson. Pass after pass they manage to weave through and this time Fredickson is one on one with Frankie he over took Frankie and did the shot it went through

Peter really shown his talent and he instantly lay up the shot and it went in quickly

“That is what we want!!” He is really cocky

After some game they close to a tie

“38 : 42!!”

Looks like if the friendly match with Borneo College is pretty easy compared to this.

The time is 30 seconds

Peter again in the attack and he taken the 3 points and its already 41 : 42

Mikhail is getting really tired from the game, Long Man is struggling with the game, but he played well, then I ask Long Man to used a different style of play
