Chapter 20:

Chapter 19: Bad Things to Come

Tifara & David-Season 1

As soon as Tifara arrived in class, she and her friends waved at each other and her friends left for their classes. She then turned to David and saw him glared at her with his eyes nearly closed, while everyone's chatter echoed across the room. She glared at him back while she walked towards her assigned seat.

Ghee, what the hell's his problem? She curiously thought out of anger, I literally didn't do anything wrong with him. Ghosh!

Once she sat down, she put her head down and stared at the wall near her. David still glared at her, longer than anyone else around him. Then he tapped on her back hard. "Hey, panty girl."

Tifara growled and didn't answer him. So David tapped her back again. "Heeey, panty girl. Hellooo?"

"It would be nice if you stop callin' me panty girl and call me by my name, y'know. 'Cause otherwise, eat shit David!" Tifara snapped without even looking him in the eye.

David deeply sighed out of anger, putting his head down, closing his eyes for a moment. Then he lifted his head up and examined Tifara. "Fine…"

Then his silence stood for only a few moments.

"Well?" Tifara asked without turning to him.

"Okay, okay, okay, fine…It's…Tifara, right?" David asked.

"Yep, that's it." Tifara finally turned to David's attention, with her eyes closed and a smile.

David angrily sighed as he turned his face away from her, crossing his arms.

"So what do ya what?" Tifara questioned.

Then he returned his attention back to Tifara. "So why the hell did you chat with my uncle last night?! Why didn't you save him?!"

"Uh, your uncle and I bumped into each other, and your uncle chatted with me. And I tried to warn him about the incoming car, yet your uncle crossed the street too late. So it's not my fault he forgot to look both ways, before he crossed the street and got run over by the car himself."

Yet David didn't buy it and he clenched his fist on his desk. "It's totally"-David sniffed his nose as he couldn't hold back his tears any longer-"your fault! If you didn't talk to him and avoided him like a plague, none of this would've happened!"

"No, it's not! In fact, I couldn't get him to not talk to me, even if I could!" Tifara then turned to the wall with her head slightly down. "He was jus' a kind man, David. He's too kind to not talk to him actually."

David sucked his teeth at her, tightened his fist and opened his gritted mouth, glarin at Tifara more. "Oooo, I hate you, Tifara! I hate, hate, HATE YOU!!! Ya got that?!"

"Ugh!" Tifara sucked her teeth back at David and returned her attention to the wall.

"Alright, you too!" Mrs. Kaine roared when she turned to Tifara and David, while the rest of her students lowered their voices and turned to those kids that Mrs. Kaine was screaming about. "That's enough fighting! If I catch you two fighting one last time, I'll provide you both office referrals, do I make myself clear?!"

"Yes, ma'am…" Tifara and David said.

"Good," Mrs. Kaine said out of relief when the final bell rang.

Tifara turned to David and stared at him, while David turned to the wall and stared at it far away from it. Tifara's memories of David's uncle's kindness from last night had invaded her heart. Oh, I'm gonna see his uncle, whether he likes it or not, she thought, glaring at David. And if he tries to prevent me from seein' his uncle, ha, I'm not gonna let that happen. EVER!

When lunchtime started, Tifara and her friends headed to the cafeteria together. Certain students around them behaved the same way towards Tifara as they did before. Sam and Dalila scanned their surroundings with their serious looks on their faces, while May patted on Tifara's shoulder as she also gave rude people her serious look.

Tifara tightened her grip on her necklace, closed her eyes and put her head down. Dear Lord, please help me! Give me strength to overcome my persecution! In Yeshua's name, Amen! She thought before she returned her attention to her destination.

When May turned to her best friend, she noticed her determined face, smiling at her. Then she returned scanning her surroundings with her serious face, especially the rude people. Sam turned to Tifara and asked, "Yo, Tifara. Are you alright back there?"

Tifara shook her head. "Uh-huh. I'm perfectly fine."

"Good." Sam closed his eyes with a smile. "I'm glad you're okay." Then he turned to the cafeteria. "Aaaand we're here!"

When Tifara and her friends made it to the cafeteria, they studied their surroundings. They saw students either walking around with trays, eating in their seats or heading for the courtyard. Several administrators stood there and watched the crowd to preserve order in the cafeteria.

"Okay, so let's go eat!" Dalila said, turning to her boyfriend with her eyes closed and a smile on her face.

"Right!" Tifara, May and Sam exclaimed, performing the same actions to Dalila.

Then while Tifara and her friends walked towards the line, a certain number of students behaved the same way towards Tifara as before. This caused Tifara to hold onto her necklace. Her eyes were determined to fight her fears and ignored the rude people.

Alright, Tifara. I gotta keep going, Tifara thought seriously. I can't allow these people to put me down. I gotta keep goin'. I got to…

Then Calpurnia and her friends walked up towards Tifara and her friends behind them. They didn't even know that Calpurnia and her friends were following them.

"Hey, panty girl!" Calpurnia's voice echoed behind Tifara and her friends.

"Huh?!" Tifara stopped moving and turned around, seeing Calpurnia and her friends walking up towards her and her friends.

Tifara growled and glared at Calpurnia and her friends, while her friends turned around and stood near her. What does this bitch want now?! Tifara angrily thought. I literally want nothing to do with her and her shitty ass friends right now! NOT EVER!

"Why don't you stay away from Tifara, alright?!" May roared as she walked towards Tifara and stood near her, placing her hand onto her shoulder.

"Yea!" Sam and Dalila walked towards Tifara and stood behind her. "Jus' leave us alone! We don't want any trouble!"

"It's Titsfara's fault for gettin' Calpurnia grounded yesterday!" Jecolia roared, pointing her finger at Tifara.

"Yea!" Abby agreed. "Thanks to her, now she can't temporarily hang out with us afterschool!"

Yet Calpurnia put her head down, clenched her fists and growled at her friends, yelling, "Um, did I even ask you two for your help?!"

Jecolia and Abby fearfully turned to Calpurnia and frowned at her, feeling guilty for their actions. "No…"

"Hmph, that's what I thought," Calpurnia said out of relief before she turned back to Tifara. "Now if Tifara didn't tattle tale on me yesterday, none of this would've happened. I would be able to hang out with my dearest Saul except for school, of course."

Ah! Did she say, 'My dearest Saul?!' I knew she has a thing for Saul! It's obvious she does right alongside May! Tifara thought as she expanded her eyes, opening her mouth wide when she heard that. Did she say she couldn't even hang out with Saul at church?! You know what that means, don't ya, Tifara?! That means…Saul's officially mine this weekend?! How awesome is that?!

She turned to May and saw her eyes wide when May also heard what Calpurnia said. Uh-huh, yep. That's what I thought May would react, Tifara thought when she quietly growled at her best friend. Well, not on my watch!

"But, uh, it happened and I'm gonna make you pay, big time!" Calpurnia added, glaring at Tifara, nearly closing her eyes.

Then Calpurnia turned to the crowd and clapped her hands with her vicious smile. "Titsfara, panty girl, Titsfara, panty girl, Titsfara, panty girl…"

After Calpurnia kept repeating those exact same words and waved her hands up a couple times, her friends joined in on saying these words and clapped their hands with her at the same time. Then as soon as the crowd around them noticed it, they also joined in.

Tifara turned around and began to head for the line there. "Let's go get some lunch, you guys. I don't wanna be here much longer, y'know."

"Right on!" Her friends smiled at Tifara and headed for the cafeteria with Tifara.

"Just try to ignore them, alright?" Sam said.

"Oh, don't worry, Sam," Tifara responded. "I will."

Sam grinned at Tifara. "Good."

While Tifara and her friends walked towards the cafeteria, Calpurnia and her friends walked with them, performing their same actions. Tifara held onto her necklace tightly and tried to ignore Calpurnia, her friends and the crowd for a few moments. Yet sadness overtook her heart, causing her to put her head down with a frown and her eyes closed.

Okay, I can't do it! Tifara cried in her heart, I literally can't do it! I'm too much of a failure, y'know!

When Tifara sniffed her nose near her friends, her friends were about to angrily turn around towards Calpurnia and her friends until the administrators' watched them, making Calpurnia and her friends walk away from them. Then they turned around and headed back to the line while May patted on her shoulder for comfort. Thank Elohim for that. If it wasn't for that, Tifara's heart will be in much worse condition.
