Meeting CEO Lin again

Lan Du stared at the phone in her hand before crushing it to bits, she then turned to the twins who wore a strange look on their faces.

"My mother's memories are limited to before she fell in a coma, her image on my father is that of pure love, for her, I'll remove anything that can possibly disrupt that feeling she has, even if I hate the old man, what I fear more is my mother's heart"

Lan Du turned to mother Xie

"You must know how it feels, the betrayal of a husband" Lan Du suddenly said

Mother Xie was bitter but she nodded

Lan Du's eyes grew slightly lifeless

"I don't want my mother to feel that betrayal, I'm no exception either, despite hating hm, when I learnt that he got another woman right after leaving mother, I felt betrayed in my heart, it's laughable, but betrayal is one of my upmost hateful action" Lan Du clenched her fist and smiled gently at the twins

"You two are one of the few people I have left in my heart, but my mother will forever be the one I prioritise, it must sound very selfish of me, but she was the only one who was there for me when I was born" Lan Du patted their heads and gave them a final smile before a sudden darkness washed over the room, but it disappeared as fast as it came.

However, by the time the light was back, they realised that someone was gone.

Xie Lei and Xie Qeng knew this phenomenon.

"That brat...he should at the very least be a royal spirit now..." Xie Qeng muttered

The three stared at Xie Jing and Xie Ying, their hearts were heavy but they couldn't find the words to comfort them. The two were dazed, but soon their eyes watered.

"W-We just wanted him to stop killing, we didn't want to get in his way" Xie Jing muttered as tears dropped upon the floor.

"We didn't want him to kill his blood relative, we didn't want him to walk astray" Xie Ying spoke up as well, they held one another and cried.

The elders in the room didn't know what to say, they then saw a note on the ground.

Mother Xie picked it up and on it wrote one sentence.

[Take good care of the two lasses, don't let them join the main army, have them stay with elder Xie Lei and Xie Qeng no matter what, and tell them...it was my decision to walk my current path, don't let them feel guilty of their actions, rather, they woke me up]

She sighed deeply and passed the note to the twins, upon reading, they held back their tears, but their bodies still trembled. They covered their mouths, not letting a sound out, but their eyes gave away their current emotions.

They looked out the window and saw Lan Du's leaving figure, they couldn't be more familiar with it, it was the very same feeling they felt six years ago in the virtual world.

They wanted to run after her, but they saw her suddenly turn her head towards them, she gave them a warm smile before turning her head back and left the vicinity. They almost choked on their own tears at that moment, Lan Du has always been so patient with them, yet they did such a thing.

Their intentions were to stop Lan Du from taking a path she may very well regret, but they didn't expect it to disrupt the path she has vowed to take. They underestimated her care towards her mother, but they didn't hate her for it.

Lan Du who was walking glanced back in the direction, she smiled bitterly

'This may be a good thing, if we can cut all ties here, I won't hurt them again in the future....I will have no restrictions, and I will no longer need to lie to them, I'm a girl, so are they, it wouldn't be right' Lan Du shook her head and placed her hands on her cheeks.

"They were quite harsh with that slap...but I'm glad, they finally voiced out their opinions, they would always reject my offers in helping them financially and shy to requests, now, they finally voiced it out" Lan Du smiled lightly and stopped in her tracks.

"I dislike insects, especially those who sneaks up on me" Lan Du laughed gently as she tossed a dagger behind her.

It struck the tree and a figure slowly appeared behind it.

"I will offer again, join my army" He said

He was Long He, he stared at Lan Du with a serious gaze but Lan Du chuckled.

"I'm afraid that's not possible, I'm already affiliated with another army, joining you won't be possible" Lan Du replied with a casual smile.

Long He lifted his brows

"Oh? Which army can be more prestigious than mine?" He questioned

Lan Du snickered

"You're a colonel yet you speak so highly of yourself, there is still four ranks above you yet you still talk so big" Lan Du replied with a smile filled with mockery.

Long He frowned

"I admit I cannot be considered the very top, but in terms of strength, my army is still in the top 10" He replied sternly

Lan Du nodded

"Indeed, but I don't think Colonel Yuan loses out to your army, his fleet is quite powerful as well" Lan Du snickered, but in her heart, she was feeling sick.

'I can't believe I'm using his name for myself...I'm a damn failure'

Long He's face became dark as his expression dropped at the mention of Yuan Min, in fact, she could even feel a bit of hostility from his eyes.

"I won't let a talent like you get away, especially not by him, I will find you again in the future, but if I find out you're using him as an excuse, you better be ready for what can happen to you" He finished speaking and left

Lan Du watched him leave before clicking her tongue, she then walked to the side where there was a large bush. She grabbed one of the branches and pulled, then, the whole bush began moving as a car was uncovered beneath it.

She then opened the door and got in.

"I meet troublesome people almost every day" She muttered and started the car

But before she stepped on a pedal, someone stepped in front of the car to stop her, she recognised him and an awkward look appeared on her face.

But she hid it as fast as possible.

"May I know what I can do for CEO Lin?" Lan Du asked with a light smile

CEO Lin smirked

"Did you think changing your appearance can e from recognising you? Brat, you received quite a bit of spirit dew from me and now you're pretending not to know me?" He sneered and said

Lan Du stepped out the car and scratched the back of her head

"What can I do? Not many people out there are willing to just overlook that number of spirit dew, but I repaid you already by tutoring your daughter, didn't she become the goddess of her school? She even is succeeding your position just fine as well, I even gave her additional tutoring that wasn't part of her curriculum" Lan Du explained with a light smile.

CEO Lin scoffed

"Repaid me? The sheer amount of spirit dew you tricked me out of is enough to tutor my daughter for years and still have leftovers, can you still call that repayment?" His eyes had a trace of mockery and contempt

Lan Du walked over and clasped her hands together

"Oh come on, I saved your daughter's life from dozens of assassination attempts and even prevented bullying in her school, don't be like that"

"Those were part of the contract, and I paid for all the medical fees as well" He replied

Lan Du's smile froze

"*Cough*, that's besides the point, seeing how we have known each other for so many years, just let me off this once" Lan Du wanted to continue, but CEO Lin cut her off half way.

"The few times we meet over the year is always you trying to scam Spirit Dew out of me, our last meeting, you scammed more than one bottle out of me, is this what you can call knowing each other?" He replied immediately

Lan Du was left speechless

"Erm..." Lan Du scratched her cheeks and placed one hand on her shirt's collar.

She was in deep thought as she stared at CEO Lin

"What do you want?" She asked

CEO Lin laughed

"My daughter misses you quite a bit, I want you to visit her at least once a week, as much as I hate for a brat like you to come over, my daughter's happiness is more important" His eyes were slightly hesitant but his tone was resolute.

Lan Du paused

"That's it? Haiz, and here I was worried about nothing, I was even prepared to blackmail y-*Cough*, persuade you" Lan Du shifted her eyes in a strange manner as she coughed

CEO Lin lifted his brows

"Blackmail me? And how will a hairless brat like you do that?" He questioned, he grew more curious after finding out it was Lan Du at the ceremony.

Lan Du wore a cunning smile

"CEO Lin, are you sure you want to know?" Lan Du asked

CEO Lin gave her a not

Lan Du chuckled and grabbed his hand with her left hand and held the top button on her shirt with her other.

"Like this" Lan Du said with a cheeky smile as she pulled him and let her body fall to the ground, she unbuttoned her top button and pressed his hand upon her stomach. His hand went beneath her shirt and was touching her bare skin.

CEO Lin's face became flushed as she glared at her

"What are you-"

"Kya! You animal!" Lan Du suddenly shouted at the top of her lungs, her eyes were teary and there was traces of tears rolling down her face.

Her eyes were like an abandoned puppy, pitiful and seeking for help.

CEO Lin was shocked by her actions, Lan Du's expression grew more pitiful so no matter how one looks at this scene, it looked like CEO Lin was harassing her.

"Enough, I get it, stop this foolishness" He roared

Lan Du wiped her tears

"I-It was you who wanted this, w-why did you make it sound like I wanted this" She said pitifully

Now, CEO Lin was bewildered, he stared at Lan Du, he was so shocked by her acting that he was left momentarily speechless. But his expression immediately grew cold.

"You better stop this at once, or I will make you regret everything" He growled

He then saw Lan Du's lips curve up

"CEO Lin, it was you who wished for this" Lan DU reached out both hands and placed it on the side of his cheeks

"Now be good and remove your hand, or I might think you're gay" Lan Du chuckled and said sweetly

It was only then did he realise that his hand was still on her stomach, he hurriedly pulled his hand back and got up quickly. But he wore a strange expression as he watched Lan Du crawl back up.

'His skin was smoother than jade, if he said he was a girl, I'd actually believe him' He thought to himself as he thought back on the feeling he felt as his hand was on her stomach.

"Never do that again, or no one will find your body" He said coldly

Lan Du giggled

"Cute, that threat is so adorable, it was something I used when I was 12, to think a high and mighty CEO will actually use such childish words" Lan Du snickered as she covered her mouth

CEO Lin grew impatient as he glared at her

"I regret asking, I should have known a brat like you would never have good ideas" As he was speaking, he suddenly heard something.

[Kya! You animal!]

[Eough, I get it, stop this foolish action!]

His expression grew dark as he turned to see Lan Du holding a small camera with the sound coming from it. She seemed to be watching the tape that was filmed with an interested expression as she rubbed her chin.

"CEO Lin, you look like quite the beast in this video...I wonder what the public would think if I publish it online" Lan Du's smile was suddenly full of mockery and excitement.

His pupils shrunk

"You-"

"Before you continue, yes, this is blackmailing, hehehehe, you gave me the perfect opportunity to get dirt on you, CEO Lin, you were one of my hardest targets, over so many years, I wasn't able to find anything on you, yet you gave me this opportunity yourself" Lan Du taunted and mocked, her smile only grew as she leaned on the tree behind her.

"I's the type of person to never trust anyone, especially those with high social status, CEO Lin, I have dirt on almost everyone in China at this point, don't you feel honoured to being one of my hardest targets?" Lan DU wore a cheeky smile as she fiddled with teh camera in her hand.

CEO Lin gritted his teeth, his spiritual strength fluctured as a cold wind blew. The area around Lan Du suddenly became desolate and cold, ice froze over the surrounding andthe temperature dropped constantly.

The camera in her hands was no exception, it froze over and stuck to her hand. Lan Du sneered and crushed the ice along with the camera.

"Destroying the camera is useless, since young, my cameras have all been set to transfew any taken images or videos back to my main computor, and a single thought is all I need to publicise it all" Lan Du's voice was cold

CEO Lin's domain washed over her, she could feel her body freezing over but her expression was still calm.

"I'll take up on your deal earlier, I'll visit you once every week, but for now, I need to go" Lan Du took out a dagger and cut her wrist, her blood dripped onto the ground, forming a small puddle.

CEO Lin was shocked

'Is he going to kill himself?!'

But the bleeding soon stopped and a puddle the size of a person was formed.

"See you next week" Lan Du waved her and and jumped into that puddle that isn't even 1mm in height. But shockingly, her body fell through and disappeared into it. CEO Lin was shocked, he ran over and touched the puddle, but his hand was stopped by the ground and he tips of his fingers were covered in blood.

He gritted his teeth

"Bastard got me again" He muttered

He punched the ground before standing back up, he then left the area. The ice slowly faded as well, but the blood puddle remained. After a few minutes, Lan Du's figure emerged from the puddle.

"Thank goodness he left early, otherwise, I'd have to stay the night inside that blood puddle" Lan Du mumbled and entered her car. The inside was ice cold so she turned on the heater to warm up.

She then droze off with a carefree expression, she had a lollipop in her mouth and she was feeling better than ever.

But a though struck her, she stopped tha car and searched the back of her seat, inside, she found a skin mask, hair spray and many other cosmetic items.

She first used the spary pain and made the tips of her hair red, making it seem rather flashy but carried a charm on it's own. She then wore the skin mask, her face was no completely changed by the mask. It was now the face of a delicate girl, compared to her original face, this was much more gentle looking and gave off a tmid aura.

She then glanced at her chest and shook her head, not willing to remove her bandaids. But she removed the bandaids on her neck and sighed.

She then wore blue contact lenses and wore a hood over her head. She then drove the car back, the trip didn't feel long, rather, she found it too fast. In her heart, she kept hoping that the worst outcome will not occur.

But her hopes were crushed when she stepped out her car and stood in front of her house. At the front gate, Yuan Min stoo there with his two officers, Wang Shu and Wang Liu.

They saw Lan Du step out, her delicate face was a surprise to them. Her unique hair also caught their attention as they stared at her with a curious expression. Lan Du's expression was cold.

"How long has it been?" Lan Du's tone was cold as she stepepd forward and said

Yuan Min's hands couldn't stop shaking as he stared at her

"My daughter" He muttered

Lan Du smiled, but the smile was cold and desolate.

"I'm sorry, but it seems we have a misunderstanding, I'm not here for your long awaited reunion, I'm here to warn you that if you touch a single hair on those around me, I'll use my life to bite of a chunk of your flesh, the taste of blood isn't foreign to me" Lan Du said with a cold gaze.
