The more I'm with you

Wang Shu who was trapped inside the small space was shocked

"Domain? No, this isn't a true domain, you, you're already at the peak of Royal Spirit!" he exclaimed, he didn't hold back this time, his domain wrapped around Lan Du's space and suppressed her.

Lan Du felt the pressure begin suffocating her, her face paled but her eyes still filled with excitement.

"-un"

Wang Shu heard something, but he didn't make out what she said

"Wha-"

"I said this is damn fun!" Lan Du laughed as she twisted her body and removed Wang Shu's grip on her neck.

Wang Shu was shocked by this sudden development, he reached out his hand to grab Lan Du, but her legs tightened, and her body spun behind him. She reached out her slender hands and covered Wang Shu's eyes.

"Shhhh, just let nature take its course, empty your mind" Lan Du whispered into his ears, she stroked the side of his cheeks with the other hand and suddenly grabbed both cheeks.

"Your domain hurts, it hurts my mental state, it hurts, but you know what I feel above all this? Satisfaction, I get to kill someone who works for my father" Lan Du's excitement couldn't be hidden, Wang Shu shuddered as she shook her hands off and grabbed her by the leg.

"Get off! I don't want to hurt you!" He shouted

"Oh? But I want to hurt you" Lan Du patted his head

Wang Shu gritted his teeth, he had only wanted to scare her for all the humiliation why has it developed to this? He didn't want to hurt Yuan Min's daughter, he didn't want to bother his leader, but Lan Du was too infuriating!

She embarrassed not only Yuan Min but also his brother, he couldn't take it.

But as he was thinking, he felt a strange warm liquid drip onto his head. He touched it and stared at his hand.

It was blood...

He suddenly turned his head, Lan Du who was behind him was bleeding from her mouth and her head was drooped downwards.

"D-Don't scare me" He stuttered and removed her from his head. He then realised, his domain has fluctuated along with his complicated emotions, he didn't notice when, but he pushed his domain's suppressive ability to the maximum as he was thinking.

Lan Du was only in Royal Spirit, how could she handle the full force of his domain? Only now did he realise that her spiritual strength was no longer enveloping them, it was gone completely. He immediately removed his domain and held her in his arms.

"Brother, I-I, what do I do, she isn't moving, brother!" He cried out

Wang Liu's body stiffened, he saw Lan Du in Wang Shu's arms, motionless and lifeless. His pupils shrunk as he ran over.

He could see that her eyes were opened, but it was lifeless, it didn't glimmer like it usually does and it didn't move, not even the pupil.

But the moment he got closer, Lan Du's body twisted, and a dagger was pointed at Wang Shu's neck.

"Stay away! All of you! Stay away!" She shouted

Wang Liu stopped, he stared at Lan Du in shock, but he felt something was amiss. Wang Shu was just as shocked, but unlike his brother, he didn't notice Lan Du's strangeness.

"Back off! Y-You're here for the data, aren't you!" Lan Du roared

At this moment, the two became confused, what data? What did she mean?

"Two domains, no, you're not with them, who are you!" Lan Du growled as she stuck the dagger closer to Wang Shu's neck.

"Lan Yu, this isn't the time to joke around, put the dagger down"

Lan Du's eyes flickered

'Lan Yu? That isn't my name...unfamiliar people...the current? Did it relapse? I need to take the medication before I reveal anything unnecessary, this is...my house? Why am I here? The disease must have relapsed again, no wait... these two are the bastards who are always with my father'

'It's been roughly two years since we last met, no wonder I didn't recognise them immediately, but why are they here' Lan Du dropped her dagger.

She held her head and her face twisted with a pained expression.

Wang Shu wanted to grab her so she wouldn't fall, but Lan Du smacked his hand away.

"Get lost! Why are you two here, did that bastard tell you to come?" She growled

'I don't have the medicine on me, no, I need to find them quickly or else...' She suddenly dashed out the front door, she saw a familiar car and her eyes lit up.

She didn't hesitate to break the windows and jumped into the car. The glass shards pierced her arms but she ignored the pain. She scrambled through the whole car and found a small container. She opened it up and inside was a single lollipop.

'Good, there's still one left'

She smiled and unwrapped it before placing it in her mouth. She then felt a strong pain surge into her head, cold sweat rolled down her face but soon, she took in a deep breath and a cold smile crept up to her face.

"Wang Shu, cheh, almost had his life" She muttered and kicked the car door open to get out. She saw Yuan Min standing with Wang Shu and Wang Liu. They all had a concerned expression as they watched her step out the car.

She glanced down and saw blood trickling down her chin, she wiped it with her sleeves and glared at them.

"Yu'er, what happened, why did you act like that su-"

Lan Du walked past him and walked over to Wang Shu. She grabbed his collar and pulled his face closer to her.

"Wang Shu, I'll remember today's debt" She then walked past him and back into the house, her body limped and she was dragging herself back.

Yuan Min furrowed his brows

"Wang Shu, what happened inside your domain, why is she injured and why did she suddenly act like that" He asked sternly

Wang Shu's face was pale, not from Lan Du's words, but from the deathly cold gaze of hers. It was darker than anything he has seen, as if it was an endless void that would devour him.

"I-I wasn't able to suppress my Domain and caused her to-to become injured, but when she woke up, she suddenly went crazy, asking if we were her for a data" He muttered

Yuan Min froze, he watched that happen as well but he still wanted to know more. Lan Du seemed very out of sort when she woke up. As if she didn't remember where they were.

"I will go ask her myself" He spoke and wanted to enter the house.

But Wang Liu grabbed his shoulders

"Do you think she will tell you? I can feel it, just standing next to her, she hates you more than she cares about her own life" He said carefully

Yuan Min clenched his fists

"No, I need to find out personally" He said indignantly and shook off his hand before walking back into the house, he headed to Lan Du's room and saw her seated, like an injured wolf licking its own wounds, she wrapped up the cuts on her arms as if she was used to it.

"Yu'er, can't you open up to me this once? Tell me a what I can do to help" His words even had a pleading tone to it, he truly wanted to help her.

Lan Du glanced at him

"The best help you can offer is to stay away from me" She growled, her lonesome and self-reliance caused Yuan Min's heart to throb in pain.

"No, I need to know!" He grabbed her by the wrist and growled

Lan Du's cold eyes stared deep into him, he felt his heart shudder for a moment.

"You want to know?" Her teeth were clenched, and her eyes grew even more fierce

Yuan Min paused for a moment before nodding, he needed to know her strange actions. It concerned his daughter's health, so he must know.

Lan Du grabbed him by his collar, her eyes filled with anger

"It's none of your damn business" She growled before she stood up and went into the bathroom, leaving the dazed Yuan Min standing.

'Am I really that hateful in your eyes? I also hate that I couldn't be with you, but I didn't have a choice' He let out a deep and sorrowful sigh, his eyes filled with remorse and dejection.

He slowly left the room, his figure was lonely, soon, the room was filled with darkness as night followed. Lan Du stepped out of the toilets, refreshed and clean.

She slid into her bed and covered her eyes with her arm, being unable to sleep, she just kept her eyes closed and regulated her breathing. An hour went by, she then heard her door open.

Someone walked into her room and laid down beside her. Her eyes were closed but she knew it was Yuan Min, he wore a longing expression as he reached out his hands.

He caressed her face gently, but afraid that she'd wake up, he paused after a few seconds.

'Maybe...only like this can I be with her in peace' He closed his eyes and dozed off, it was at this moment that Lan Du's eyes opened. She shuffled to the inner edges of the bed and sat up.

She glanced back, the window was opened and the moonlight shone upon her delicate face, her eyes reflected the lights and glistened under the moon. She then grabbed the window sill, using her arms alone, she pulled herself up and sat on the window sill.

'Even if you wish to stay by my side, I will forever run from you' She then flipped backwards and her body fell out the window.

Her actions were silent and not a single sound was made.

When the sun rose in the morning, Yuan Min's eyes opened, but he couldn't find a single trace of Lan Du anywhere he looked. He then looked out the window, he saw her laying on a large tree branch with a book on her face.

'Yu'er, do you need to avoid me to this extent?'

Feeling his gaze, Lan Du removed the book and opened her eyes slowly, she glanced in his general direction and paused. After a few moments, she jumped off the tree and walked to the car.

One of the windows are broken so she clicked her tongue.

She stretched her arms and legs. Warming up her body, she then dashed off as if she was in a rush to go somewhere. Yuan Min frowned and decided to follow her once again, he tried to conceal his presence even more than before.

He saw Lan Du buy some food from a nearby convenient store which made him dissatisfied.

'A daughter of a colonel, yet she eats such downgraded food'

He then watched her run again as she ate, she soon stopped when she reached the main streets, people were everywhere and cars were bustling.

His eyes focused on Lan Du, making sure he doesn't lose sight of her in this crowded area. He then watched a man approach her, Lan Du was wearing the skin mask from yesterday so he wondered if it was an acquaintance.

But then he watched Lan Du recieve a small envalope from him. She opened it and read the content, being unable to see, Yuan Min wondered what it was about.

Hiowever, Lan Du then ripped the envelop and tossed it in the bin before she followed the man. He led her to a small cafe and inside, they sat down whilst talking about something.

Soon after, a woman walked over to them, the man seemed to be introducing the woman to Lan Du with a bright smile on his face. At that moment, Yuan Min's expression dropped.

'A blind date?' He wondered 'But why a woman? Don't tell me she really is...'

He then saw Lan Du shake the woman's hand gently, she smiled shyly and spoke with the woman for a while before the man left. Yuan Min's expression grew darker and darker by the minute, he then watched them walk out the cafe and headed to a park.

Lan Du led her to a quiet place, no one was there and Lan Du gave her a bright and warming smile.

Yuan Min almost snapped when he saw this, but the next scene shocked and confused him. Lan Du walked a bit slower and was now behind the woman, they seemed to still be talking but Lan Du's eyes were now different.

They were deathly and cold as she slowly took out a long metal wire. Yuan Min's pupils shrunk as he watched Lan Du suddenly wrap it around the woman's neck and tugged.

The woman was shocked, her expression changed dramatically and her eyes rolled back as Lan Du strangled her with the wire.

Being unable to keep watching, Yuan Min appeared behind her and grabbed her hand tightly, forcing Lan Du to release the wire in her hand.

The woman stopped struggling, Lan Du's eyes turned and landed on Yuan Min

"What are you doing!" She spat coldly

Yuan Min stiffened

"That's my question, what the hell are you doing" His eyes were cold and void of the usual care he expressed towards her.

The woman turned her head, but instead of expressing gratitude to Yuan Min, she glared at him.

"Who are you, why did you ruin this" She growled

Yuan Min was taken aback, he then heard foot steps running over, a man ran over and glared at Yuan Min.

"Who the hell are you! The scene we've worked so hard on is now ruined" He shouted

"Scene?" Yuan Min was confused

Lan Du sneered

"Movie scene, I was hired to act as an assassin in this scene, but now we need to spend time to reorganise miss Wei's makeup and set the cameras up again" Lan Du said with a cold face.

Yuan Min realised his mistake, but how could he be blamed?

"But how would I know? You never told me about this" He stared at Lan Du and said

Lan Du sighed and pointed at the park gate.

"There is a big sign outside, in fact, it surrounds the whole park, informing people that there will be a movie scene taking place here, unless you've gone blind, I'd like to see how you didn't see it" Lan Du scoffed at Yuan Min and mocked his ignorance.

Yuan Min felt bitter, he has been so focused on Lan Du that he didn't realise the signs around the park. He turned to the man and said:

"I apologise, I'm watching over my child so I didn't realise that this was a restricted area for movies" He said aplogetically.

Lan Du shook her head

"Father, just leave, I won't be back for quite some time" Lan Du waved her hand and said

Yuan Min wanted to say something, but was met with the resentful eyes of Miss Wei and the director. He could only leave and watch from afar like before.

He watched his daughter's acting, it felt so realistic that his emotions were tugged. He wanted to stop her from killing, but he couldn't as it was all but an act.

It took hours before Lan Du finished, she then ate with the crew and other actors happily before leavin. He then watched her enter an alley, he found it strange so he followed.

But in the span of a few seconds of being out of his view, Lan Du had done something out of his expectations. She was seated on a pile of bodies, their faces were all bruised and battered.

"Do you dare rob me?" She said with a wide smile

"N-No, we won't dare!"

"Please, let us go"

"We won't do this again, we were wrong!"

They wailed

But Lan Du's smile grew, she licked the side of her lips and stomped her feet down upon someone's head.

"But I don't want to let you go, after all, I still want mental damage fees, fees for wasting my time, fees for making me waste energy and fees for pissing me off" Lan Du chuckled and gave anoher vicious kick to the closest person.

They all shuddered, not looking up, they quickly scrambled through their pockets in hopes to find thier wallets. If not, they might get beaten again. Yuan Min frowned lightly, he got the rough idea of the situation, but Lan Du's approach still seemed to cruel for him.

Lan Du almost laughed seeing them search for their wallets, she jumped off their bodies and walked off without waiting for them to give her their wallets, after all, she didn't lack money.

She took out a lollipop and began licking it time to time, she hummed as she walked back to her house where she took out her phone and began ringing someone.

"Ba Tan...I need help with something" Lan Du said with a serious tone

[Oh, you need my help? This is rare, tell me]

"I want to alter my information as a mercenary" Lan Du said

[Hm, not a problem, what do you need to change?] He asked

Lan Du paused

"Change Xiao Mo to Leng Yu" She said after considering

(Sup, author here to explain, Leng means Cold and Yu means Rain, so together, she wanted to make her mercenary name Cold Rain, Cya)

Ba Tan nodded, he smiled lightly, thinking back on what happened yesterday where Lan Du fooled around in the wedding and ruined Long He's ceremony.

[No problem, leave it to me, anything else?]

"Yes, cut all ties I have with the academy, I don't want my name to be on the academy record for mercenary list" Lan Du replied

Ba Tan paused for a bit

[Did something happen? I know your attitude, you're a very careful person, I can do as you requested but is there a reason?] He asked

"It's a personal issue, it won't harm the guild, I also have CEO Lin's help in covering the matter so you can just pin it all on him" Lan Du said with a acrefree attitude

Ba Tan was rendered speechless, he laughed and agreed

[Sure, no problem]

Lan Du then hung up, thinking about it, she decided to call someone else.

[Hey, how's my cute little sister doing?]

Lan Du smiled

"Who was the one who raised your for six years?" Lan Du chuckled and said

[Bah, don't bring that up everytime I call you little sister, come one, you haven't been back lately, I'm getting lonely]

Lan Du's face darkened as she said bitterly

"I...won't be able to see you for a while, you should know who my father is and...he found me, he still doesn't know I'm Xiao Mo, but to hide it, I won't be able to see you for a while" Lan Du sighed and shook her head

Hui Yue froze

[I understand....but don't do anything dangerous, promise me]

"I know, I'll be careful" Lan Du smiled and hung up, she covered her eyes with her hand and a stream of tears were rolling down the side of her face.

Her fingers dug into her halp, causing it to bleed but she ignored the pain

"Yuan Min, the more I'm with you, the more I lose...dammit" She slammed her hand against the walls, she then glanced at her empty wrist.

She no longer wore the bracelets as they were given by Yuan Min, but she felt empty without wearing them on her wrist and ankle. She walked back into her room and took out a set, it wasn't ones that could change it's weight, but they were 250 kg each.

She applied all of them to her wrist and ankle befre feeling content.

The heavy feeling have her a sense of security, she didn't feel as light as before, but that only made her more at ease.
