Chapter 20:

Problem?

Dreams of Reality

Thank God I woke up with thirty minutes to spare so that I won't be late. I looked out the window. The weather was perfect. But winter is around the corner so every day is a little colder, but it's still bearable. And it gets dark earlier obviously.

I still rushed out of the house for some reason and went to the meeting point, walking faster than usual. When I got near, I could already see him sitting inside the building. We both looked at each other. Moments like this are, and always will be a little awkward, no matter who it is.

We said hi to each other, and I sit down across from him.

"Won't you order something?"

"Not now, I am not really hungry. Anyway, what's the reason, why I am here this time?"

"Why are you saying it like there is always a special reason? Cant I just invite my guy to eat some food and have a good time?"

"You just said the reason," I giggled at my own "joke".

He put the are you serious? look and I continued as if nothing happened. "Of course, you can. I am just asking because I haven't forgotten about that question."

"What question?" I think he knows what question I have in mind.

"Today, in the morning, about.."

"Yeah, okay. I remember." he did not let me finish what I was saying—one more reason why to be suspicious. I would love to know what's on his mind now because I don't remember him acting this way.

"Okay so, what is your problem?"

"There is no problem."

We stared at each other, waiting for who will speak first in this situation.

"Okay, Okay. I was just curious okay? I thought it was weird, seeing you talking to each other out of nowhere. Nothing deep."

"I would say you were freaking out about it. Like, be real, why did it upset you so much?"

"It did not upset me. I just asked."

I decided to not press him anymore since it was going nowhere, and I want to have a nice rest of my day, with no drama and fights. But I have a hunch why it bothers him so much.
