Chapter 2:

Chapter 2: "A familiar town"

Yamori

Hiro stood there under the bus stop and stopped there for awhile. frozen in place, he recognized some of the buildings in this town and he wondered how. everything about this town seems familiar, so familiar in fact, he felt a wave of nostalgia, nostalgia that sparked something inside Hiro's mind. a memory, memory so faint that you can barely even see it, it kept repeating to enter his head, a memory he sought to get but it cant enter. it felt like something is blocking it, a huge gate... was this caused by trauma? coping mechanism? or any circumstances? why is that..

Hiro snapped back to reality and walked around the the town, he reached into the side of his backpack and pulled off a rusty map. he marked the hotel he was trying to get in and followed the location. a few minutes has passed and he finally reached his destination. the hotel is massive to the point you can compare it to a castle but other than that he noticed that its odd that a massive hotel like this is situated inside a small town.

he saved his awe for later and entered the huge building, upon entering he was immediately greeted by warmth and comfort, the yellow light from the fireplace feels very warm and the commotion caused by the people inside made the place very alive, by the sight of this a smile formed on his face, was it instinct? or he just like seeing this thing.

he walked towards the front desk that has a long line of people, he waited behind the line and and  a few minutes passed and it was his turn. the receptionist smiled at him and greeted him with a gentle voice akin to a wind blowing in the afternoon, " Hello sir, welcome to Kusho Residence Hotel, how may i help you?"

"Do you accept walk-ins here?" Hiro asked the front desk clerk, he was a little bit hesitant but it was worth the shot.

"Yes sir, of course. if you want to book a hotel room, how about you try this suite, its cheap and accessible, you just need to put your details here and pay, also dont forget to write your name in the guess book" The front desk clerk explained. Hiro wrote down his name in the guess book and filled in his details. the receptionist punched something in his computer and handed Hiro the keys.

Room 46,  says the label on the key

He walked to the hallway to his left, it was 1 meters wide and it has array of doors. the walls is plastered with almost ashen-white wallpaper with a repeating diamond pattern, the red carpet leaves a long lasting impression and it felt fluffy.

Hiro continued walking and took a flight of stairs with 6 steps upwards and 6 steps more, he reached the top and saw the room numbers. he is infront of room 34, he is close to his room now.

He finally reached room 47, he unlocked the door and grabbed the almost golden knob and twisted it. he entered inside the room and it was dark, he approached the light switch and turned it on.

A white bed and an armchair, there's also a television in this modestly sized room, it has a beautiful window view. Hiro slipped to the bed and sank in, deep in thought , he was questioning the existence of this town regardless if he visited it before or not. but he's fairly certain he has never been in this town his entire life but why it felt familiar.

In order to try and remember something, Hiro planned to visit a specific location in the town. He reached into his backpack and pulled out a book with a sturdy black cover. Although it has no titles on the front, the book is actually his journal. nonetheless, something still doesn't feel right.

To get answers, he resorted to asking Nori directly. his vision gets darker and goes black.
"Yamato, you're finally here!" Nori said with her gleeful smile. Her dress is swaying with he wind as her bright smile remained unchanged. she waited for him to answer.

"So what's next? im lost Nori, i dont know where to start" Hiro said to the girl, though Hiro noticed something different. his dreams, its not in the dark instead it was under a tree located at the middle of a meadow with the grass swaying with the wind and the orange dusk sun hitting it.

It felt different, its warm.. the sound of the swaying leaves of the trees and grass can be heard everywhere, it made Hiro felt calm, he got entranced by the view that he forgot Nori is there, though the girl didnt seem to mind at all. the birds chirping and the shapes of the clouds is so... beautiful.

"You will figure it out on your own and im afraid i cant help you now" Nori explained to Hiro,
he was fine by it but its just disappointing he didnt find the answer here but he's glad he went here, its been a long time since he felt this way. Before he let out a word

he woke up...
