Chapter 35:

Chapter 13: Work of Disciplinary comitee

I wanted to be greedy in my next life, but become national hero instead

The school went to normal and everyone started to doing their best to surpass me any my total of 2,000 points. Seems like the highest usual number of points is one thousand for high ranked summon, but for a divine beast I got 1,500 points instead.

"There are some requests to deliver items to people around town, each for fifty points… that isn't really much," Kiira said sadly as she was looking at list of requests we, the students, could take in order to get more points.

The list goes as follows:

Club activity = 10 points per day
Adventurer guild quests within city = 50 points per finished quest
Adventurer guild quests outside city within a day reach = 100 points
Adventurer guild quests outside city within three days reach = 300 points
Adventurer guild quests outside city within a week worth of travel time = 1000 points
Special activities from the faculty = 1000 points
Event rewards = depending on score (100–1500 points)
Duel reward = 100–500 points
Test score = 50–500 points (depending on average score of the class, student can also loose points if the results are too low)
Reward from teacher for attentive work in class = 10–100 points

"That reminds me, have you chose a club?"

"Yes, I'm joining Spirit research club," Kiira smiled happily next to me.

"I'm joining Healing magic research club."

"I'm going there too," Taru and Alette said sitting across from me in carriage.

"I chose magic beast research club," Nina snuggled against my shoulder.

"Oh yeah, Disciplinary comitee and Student council are clubs too, right?"

"Yes. I heard that the president of the student council stepped down last year, from one of the upper classmen," Alette, who excell at information gathering among students told us excitedly.

"You are sooo popular, Alette. I'm little jelly," Taru smiled.

"I don't need their eyes. Only eyes I want to look at me are here," Alette said while looking directly at me and blushing softly.

"Yeah, I can't blame them. Human bodies develop faster, after all," Kiira got little stingy looking at Alette's chest area that was much bigger then hers and Taru's.

"We are from longlived races so it's understandible that we would take some time. But Elyon is flatter then us so it's fine."

"...Ah, Orion's follower, right?"

"Yep… wait, you couldn't remember her Leo?" Nina looked up at my confused face.

"I can't remember every single person."

"She's in our class."

"I know that…"

"Leo you still don't pay attention to names, do you?"

"I do. Sometimes... when it's important."

"So almost never."

"Urgh… I can't refute that… Anyway, grandpa wrote me a letter saying that grandma is comming to capital before end of first semester."

"Your grandmother? I never heard about her," Kiira looked surprised.

"I too, learned about her still being alive just recently. Apparently she is daughter of the previous Earth Dragonfolk duke and when she became adult she became adventurer. And that's how she met my grandfather."

"So she's still adventuring even now?"

"That's what I heard. She's apparently a leader of all-female adventurer party named Briar crown. They are mostly consistent of noble ladies from longlived species."

"So if we made a group what we would be called?"

"It's true that we didn't pick a name for ourselves... any ideas?"

"Eight roses!"

"Dragon bane!"

"Darling knights of Dragons house?"

"What's with that extravagant name Kiira?"

"Heheheh..."

Chatting merrily we entered the school grounds and I headed to the Disciplinary comitee room.

"Leonard Dragonrose reports in," I said as I knocked at the doors.

"Come in."

The voice of captain called out to me so I opened the doors. But the moment I did, a fist came flying from the oposite side so I opened «Dimension home» and let the person fell in it.

I closed the doors behind me and looked at people present here. There were only four in total. Captain, white furred Lionin with red eyes and mascular build named Frederick Fern, then Gustavo Rodrique Jamenga a black haired man with mithril trimmed glasses and last person was a Leopardfolk girl with dangerously revealing uniform named Calin Leva.

"It's nice to meet everyone here, I'm Leonard Dragonrose and I will be joining you from today onward," I bowed lightly.

"Welcome, I'm sorry about Gert," captain bowed lightly.

"Hah! She got what she deserved, I told her it's a foolish thing to do," Gustavo pushed up his glasses.

"Aren'tcha a smarty? Anyway, I'm Calin, nice to meet'cha mr. Second-in-command," Calin smiled and hugged my arm, pressing her cleavage at me.

"Nice to meet you too," I gave her a cold glare.

"Oops! Sorry about that," she smiled and backed off.

"Hahah! See? Not even your charms work at him! I guess those two little girls are more then just his right hands, right?" Frederick laughed at Calin.

"Kiira and Taru are my dear servants and I'm more then grateful for having them by my side."

I can't really say they are my fianceés or the rest of them might be revealed too. I get why I have to keep quiet about Victina, but it shouldn't matter for Lulu, right?

"Is that so? Then could I—" Frederick was interrupted by my Intimidation skill.

"What, you could?" I asked coldly.

"N-nothing! Sorry about that!" Frederick turned whimpy instantly.

"So is there anything you wanted to speak with me today?"

"Yes! Please take a seat and listen to what I have to say... Could you release Gert first, please?" Captain Alaia asked me bashfully.

"I understand, captain," I nodded and opened the dimension home.

The insides of dimension home were divided by habitat I created with nature magic. I had forests here several small lakes and even a small desert made with earth magic.

It was also here, where I was currently keeping most of my Blade bulls and Blade cows I tamed in forest near Roseburg, as well as monsters I saved from the dark auction of the Golden Quince. I mean, who would expect eggs of giant scorpions to hatch so quickly? I will have to expand the desert if I don't want them to fight each other.

It didn't take long before I found Gert, the Sky dragonfolk girl with blonde hairs and white scales. Right now, she was hugged by Devil bear, a level 26 monster with six limbs and armored chest and paws. By the way, his name is Kumaru and he's still just a baby.

"Yo. Do you have any more funny ideas?"

"Waaaaahh! Pleaaaaaase save mheeeee!" Gert started crying as Kumaru started to lick her face.

"Kumaru, let her be already," I smiled at the bear and patted it's head. Kumaru reluctantly loosen his grip and fell on his back. Making me give him more pats.

"D-d-d-d-devil bear i-i-i-is acting like a puppy! Wh-wh-wh-what the hell is this?!"

"Oh, it's nothing, this one is still young so it most likely treats me like it's father or something like that," I smiled at the frightened Gert.

Though, I did get the title of [Tamer of disaster]...

"Let's get back okay?" I smiled at her and outstreched my hand towards her.

She looked at the hand and at the bear, then she took the hand. I opened the portal and returned to the office of the Disciplinary comitee. What suprised me was that princess Gloriosa came in while I was gone with Nina and were just done with the introduction.

"Are you okay Gert?" Calin came to her, "Oh~"

As it turned out, Gert was still holding my hand.

"It's time to let go miss Gert," Nina quickly pushed between us.

"Alaia asked princess Gloriosa to make a link between Disciplinary comitee and Student council," Nina added with her Telepathy skill.

"Ah! I'm sorry!" Gert quickly bowed to me and Nina after making sure she have as much distance as she could.

Nina supprised by her look, looked at me and asked: "What happened to her?"

"She got hugged by Kumaru."

"Oh, that sweetheart?"

Gert hearing that got even paler then she already was.

"Well then, let me hear what you wanted to speak about captain," I turned to Alaia after giving good byes to Nina who returned to Gloriosas side.

"Right. Currently there are several problems we have on our hands. Mostly the discrimination of the weaker races like Little ogres and Dwoles."

If memory serves right Dwoles are mole demihumans who excell at digging with their claw like fingers. They apparently came to our kingdom after demon invasion when my parents were younger.

"Is it as bad as I think?"

"Yes. Even humans who have advantige in numbers are sometimes targeted by stronger Demihumans," Frederick nodded, "sadly, it's mostly settled as duels..." he added with troubled look on his face.

"Do we have a list of troublemakers?"

"Sadly, yes," Alaia nodded and took out a book from her desk that was as as thick as an adult's fist. And then she took out three more books as thick as the first one.

"That's... quite a lot."

"This is everything for the current first three years which are under our jurisdiction. There are some who tries to throw around their titles, even though it's not allowed every year. Can I ask you to take care of them?"

"I belive that's not wise. After all, I have a title of my own. Some might interpret it as me throwing around my title. Though, I will stop it, if I see it happening," I said flatly to Alaia.

"Thank you. For today, I would like you to walk around with Gustavo and learn the knowhow from him. But first please go with lady Gloriosa to the Student council."

"Understood Captain."

I raised from my seat and while being followed by the princess I headed to the Student council room. That was quite easy as they were both on same floor in the club rooms wing. I knocked on the doors and heard Victina's voice urging me to come in.

"Leonard Dragonrose from Disciplinary comitee reporting in," I entered the room and was instantly assulted by a girl jumping from a side at me. This time though, I let it slide.

"Long time no see sis," I smiled at my older sister Mina, the current student council president, "You should start acting a little more to your age."

"I don't wanna~" Mina puffed up her cheeks and rubbed her face in my chest.

"I guess I spoiled you too much."

Back home, before Mina had to go to school, she was always following me and Kiira around, which Kiira didn't really like in the begining, but by thinking that at the end of the day Mina's still just a big sister she reluctantly agreed. They even became something akin to friends.

"No! You didn't spoil me at all! And if you did, then you should spoil me even more!"

"Mina, we came here for a bussiness talk," I peeled her of me.

"Muu~ Fine, but I will have you pat me afterwards!"

"I guess that's a good deal. Firstly, let me introduce to you princess Gloriosa who will serve as a link between our two offices."

"It's a pleasure to meet you lady Gloriosa, please take a good care of me in the following years," Mina showed a first class courtesy.

"It's my pleasure lady Mina, I'm already in care of sir Leo so I would love to be on good terms with you too," Gloriosa returned Mina's courtesy with her own, slightly hinting that there was something between us, which could lead to troubles if someone else heard it.

"Tina, I see you joined the council, good for you."

"Thank you Leo, I plan to run for president in two months so wish me luck."

"Well, there is no one else planning to go to election so you may just got it as it is. And it's not like you will be taking the reins right away. I will still be president for half a year after election to show you the way," Mina smiled and nodded sagely, which didn't suit her face at all.

From there we listened to what Mina had to say about the way things worked.

The easiest way to put it was that there are three things that cause problems.

1. The student council and Disciplinary comitee are undermanned.

2. Due to lack of manpower the events are less protected resulting in more bullying going under the detection.

3. More and more students show signs of rebelling against the council and comitee resulting in attacks on less powerfull members.

4. Students who were previously openminded are starting to lock themselves in their little groups, resulting in clubs which are purely made from one race. This isn't really a bad thing but they won't learn how to work with strenghts and weaknesses of people from other races, which could be fatal for them in adulthood.

"From what I could hear, we should research the origin of the students uneasiness and deal with it. Also we have to show them that we are on their side..."

"That will be hard Tina, and you know it."

The school decorum requires every student to wear uniforms, but say no thing about accesories. Nobles and kids of wealthy merchants ususally wear gaudy accesories to show their status. On other hand commoners who hoped for scholarship usually had no accesories to put on. Tina doesn't wear anything like that making her a rare exception among nobility.

"Hmm..."

"Do you have a plan Leo?"

"No, but it seems like I could do something," as I was looking at list of some troublemakers a plan formed in my head, "I will step out for a minute, please continue without me."

I used my «Satelite» and «Overseer» to check on students. Even this early in the morning there was a lot of them and of course, bullies were as well.

"Geh-ge-ge. You are as funny as always little birdie," a woman with black hairs and a pair of short golden horns made a wicked smile as she plucked a feather of a Wingfolk girl.

"Sniff... please stop... I-I'm begging..." the girl was on a verge of tears, she had dark circles under her eyes and checking on her HP with Apprisal showed me all I needed.

The first woman was ogre and had a group of simmilary looking girls with her.

Yep, no matter the world woman pick on girls cuter then them, I was somehow reminded of a simmilar event that happened during my high school days when some girls tried to do the same to Kiira and I had to save her. In the end I found out that I was actually the cause of things but a simple 'I hate you, I don't want to have anything to do with you.' was enought to make the leading girl break down in tears... she was Taru's classmate if I remember correctly. She started working for some contract company and died just a month before my departure for this world... wonder if she made it here too... nah, that should be impossible.

"Hey, it's not nice to fight so early in the morning," I smiled and walked up to them.

"Huh?! Ah! Sir Dragonrose, sorry to interrupt your walk. We were just chatting."

"Yeah! Just like the princess said!" on of her goons smiled.

"Oh really? I guess then I should just continue my walk then... no, wait a minute," I smiled as warmly as possible before immediatly switching to Intimidate level 5, "Then why is her HP down by half?"

"Grrrr... Screw you!" her fist flew for my ungarded face, but I managed to capture her with my palm.

"Good try, but you are too inexperienced for a slugfest. «Mass teleportation»"

I instantly took everyone to my Dimension home. There I make a quick move to pick up the Wingfolk girl and yelled from deepest part of my lungs, "Kumaru I brought toys!"

"Huh? What the hell? Where are we?" The three ogre girls got confused.

"Do not worry about a thing. This place is enveloped in a barrier with healing attribute so you will be fine no matter what. I'll be back," I smiled and while giving them thumbs up I left the place with teleportation spell.

I returned to the Student council room.

"Huh? Leo?"

The girls stood up, suprised by seeing me return with magic.

"Is that... a girl again?!" Kiira got surprised and seemed a little angry.

"Yeah, it's same case as with Kara."

"Ah... I see... that's too bad," Kiira recalled the same incident as I did and patted the girls head and Victina used her light magic to heal back the wingfolk girl.

"Brother could I ask you about this Kara case you spoke of?"

"A girl was bullied for her looks and she died," I said with sad, slightly enraged face.

Though she didn't died right away, she did die in the end.

"I see... Sorry to hear that."

"I just hope she's in a better place now."

"Yeah me too," Kiira placed her head on my shoulder.

"Well, anyway. I will pick up those three bullies after school. Can you look after her?"

"Sure thing, are you going to the lessons?"

"Yes, I will do my walk at previously determinated time… Well, I'm going," I smiled and left the room.

There is severe problem with segregation and me being here doesn't help that much. I'm strong, maybe too strong for my age. If I accept every single duel, there is possibility of creation of human supremacy movements with me at pedestal… that would be the worst possible outcome. I have to be seen in groups of mixed races at all times.

I guess having just Kiira and Taru won't be enough. If people finds out that they were slaves before, then it's most likely they will say that the two of them stay with me just becouse of that bond… urgh… Maybe I should get closer to someone… Ahhhh… that's almost imposible…

The classes were just as boring as I was expecting them so the day seemed to be longer then it actually was.
