Chapter 8:

The Final Showdown - Pt.1- Beginner's Luck

Hearth Heart

Hiro and the witch dashed towards the battleground, their hearts hammering with tension. The sky was unlit, and the ground vibrated as the two armies contradicted. Hiro's heart plunged as he noticed that the rival military was much immense than he had anticipated.

The sorceress led Hiro to a little hill where they could get a finer view of the battlefield. From there, Hiro could witness that the adversary troops were conducted by the crooked twin witch herself. She was encircled by a mob of her most influential disciples, and they were wreaking mayhem on the battlefield.

Hiro knew that he had to stay assertive. The witch positioned a warm hand on his shoulder and whispered, "This is it, Hiro. The fate of our world rests on our shoulders. Are you ready?"

Hiro nodded, his determination returning. He tightened his cutlass and charged towards the army, the witch at his side.

As they defied their way through the hostile ranks, his army peeked at him with gleaming eyes. He was firmer and swifter than he had ever been before. He could feel the witch's magic coursing through his veins, providing him with the stability he required to clash the evil witch and her proponents.

The battle seethed on for what felt like hours. Hiro and the witch fought with all their might, stubborn to overwhelm the foe and carry serenity to their world. But as the sun began to set, the warfare took an arch for the worse.

The enemy army began to bedazzle Hiro and the witch, and it appeared like they might be vanquished. Hiro's heart fell as he saw his supporters slipping around him. But then, something spontaneous transpired. A blasting of a cerulean sheen spewed from the witch, and it appeared to wrap Hiro and the other warriors. They felt a rash swell of energy, and their injuries began to mend.

The talisman was beginning to kindle, but Hiro didn't notice; he was too occupied with his enjoyment: the murder of the malevolent witch.

But the evil witch was not going down without a contest. She convened all her energy, and a tremendous bolt of energy shot towards Hiro.

"Hiro...NO!"
