Watch and Learn.

The entire day Ryoichi was followed by Furi-san whilst he did his rounds. In the process he explained which areas are more prompt to be assaulted, so he should be really careful about them and pay close attention, he explained that since the mall had security cameras all over it, most robbers tend to use jackets or any other kind of heavy clothing with the intention of hiding their physical complexion and their face, so if at any point he found someone that is intentionally trying to cover their face he should keep an eye on those.

“But what happens in winter? Doesn’t everybody cover their faces to avoid the cold?” Kachi asked.

“Yeah, outside, the mall has a heating system designed to avoid that situation, if they are inside and they are still covering their face then it might be because they are trying to hide it from the cameras, or in some cases from other people.”

“From other people too?”

“Well, some people go out on dates with people that are not their ‘official’ partners, that’s why they try to hide their face, so those who know them won’t recognize them easily.”

“I see.” And he took out a notebook and wrote something on it.

Whilst doing that his stomach suddenly rumbled, giving away the fact that he was starting to feel hungry. Ryoichi looked at the watch on his wrist and looked that the lunch breaks were about to start, so he told Kachi:

“If you want you can’t take your lunch break now, we recommend that you do it in the security room as part of our protocol, there are many appliances that you can use, just clean them afterwards please.”

“You are not going to eat as well Morita-san?”

“Not right now, someone else has their lunch break in 30 minutes so I need to cover their area, you go ahead, I’ll meet you in the north area, close to the cinema in one hour.”

“Ok, I’ll take my leave then, excuse me.”

And he went to the security room.

Once he finished eating, he noticed that he had another 30 minutes or so before going to meet Ryoichi at the place they agreed. But since there was nothing else he could do he thought of going there already, but before he could get off his chair the security room’s door opened, and a guard came in.

“Oh, you might be the new guy, pleased to meet you, I’m Ito Toshio.”
