Hopeless Girl

''We wish you good luck in your future endeavours''

Always at the end of every rejected application, it just makes me more and more infuriated, I don't need a good luck from a company/organisation that didn't trust in me in the first place. 

Ryo was obviously puzzled about why a girl is laying on a park bench during this kind of weather all soaked, he wanted to help this hopeless girl from getting any more wet from the rain and offered the girl a piggyback ride which she has her arms around his neck with Ryo holding her and his other arm carrying his umbrella.

''Are you okay?'' Ryo questioned the girl

''....'' Eri still passed out asleep

''Really nothing then'' Ryo thought

''Mom'' Eri sleep talked

''Mom?'' Ryo still puzzled

They had reached the front door of Ryo's apartment, luckily close by from the park and Ryo was able to carry Eri's idol-sized body without trouble. Ryo opened the door trying to make the least noise possible from waking up Eri. 

Ryo has never gotten anyone into his apartment before

Ryo put Eri down on his couch as he tries to change her soaked clothes without looking, with his plain shirt which is oversized on Eri and a warm blanket to keep her from getting sick.

''Never knew that helping someone was this troublesome''

Anyways let's check on my chicken stock soup, a spoon for taste yummy it's warm for sure. I just need to put the chicken stock soup with the caramelised onions and insert the thyme and bay leaves. The bread needs to be toasted with cheese, needs to be toasted in the oven the cheese needs to melt on top of the soup. 

Ryo had successfully completed his French onion soup, but the smell of the soup and the combination of toast and melted cheese woke Eri in the process, making Eri sniff wondering what Ryo had just made. 

''Where am I?'' Eri questioned Ryo 

''You are at my apartment... girl'' Ryo replied

''It's not girl... my name is Eri'' Eri pouted while saying it 

''Okay, Eri what made you want to lay on a park bench when it's raining? '' Ryo questioned Eri

Eri's tears came dropping down one by one

Ryo offered her some of the warm soup that he made while Eri started crying, with Ryo having no clue why the girl he carried home started crying. Ryo also gave Eri some tissues as she wipes her tears away, as Eri took a sip of the soup.

''Too many onions it's yucky'' Eri's face in disgust 

''Hey you are complaining about my soup, it's a perfect French onion'' it made Ryo vexed

''Just make normal soup, not your fancy Frend-sch Ohnione'' Eri voiced in confusion

''A what now?'' Ryo perplexed 

Ryo started to giggle, this was the first time Ryo had any kind of emotion in a long while ever since leaving his parent's home he had kept his stoned face all the way through to stay away from any troubles.

Ryo stared at Eri's puppy eyes while crying

''Hey, do you want this then?'' Ryo offered

Ryo pulled out a melon bread from the shopping bag, he had brought a snack whilst getting the thyme and bay leaves. Eri's eyes sparkled while looking at the melon bread in Ryo's hand and furiously nodded for it.

''Here you go'' Ryo gave the Melon bread to Eri

'' Thanks... erm'' Eri didn't know Ryo's name

''My name is Ryo and it's okay'' Ryo's voice softened

''So what happened to you that made you so upset... did your mom die?'' 

Eri's face is in shock with the melon bread in her mouth as to how Ryo managed to know that her mom died and that she's upset about that. Ryo stood standing still waiting for an answer from Eri.

The melon bread cream spewed all out onto Eri's face

''HAHAHAHAH'' Ryo laughed out loud 

Eri put down the melon bread on the glassed coffee table and her face is full of cream, she wipes frantically with a paper towel to get the cream off her face with facial features of annoyance.

''STOP IT it's not funny'' Eri yelled back at Ryo

''Yes my mom did die'' Eri said with a faint voice 

''Oh'' Ryo stopped laughing once Eri said that

''How did you know she died huh?'' Eri questioned back to Ryo

''You said ''mom'' when I was carrying you so I figured'' Ryo muttered

Eri got shy that Ryo heard her sleep talk, she didn't talk back to Ryo for a good 30 seconds. So Ryo decided to drink his French onion soup so things didn't get awkward between the two as they clearly didn't want to talk about what happened. 

''You really are a hopeless girl'' Ryo acknowledged 

''Yes I really am, I can't be an idol I'm a failure'' Eri stated

Ryo hugged Eri as soon as she said that

Ryo and Eri were both flustered whilst they hugged, Eri felt Ryo's warmth on her it made her feel much better inside. She didn't care about her being a failure anymore with Ryo holding her tight. 

''Shut up, you made me giggle and laugh in a long while, you were the glowing light that I found in the park today'' Ryo voiced out under his breath

The rain and thunderstorms stopped as soon Ryo said those words, as a bright shining rainbow appeared upon the clouds. It's as if Zeus acknowledged that peace has been made within Eri.

Ryo's phone started ringing right afterwards...
