Hunger and Heartache: Yuna's Struggle with Love and Vampirism

It was late at night now and Yuna had transformed yet again, just like every night.

Yuna’s heart was racing as she looked down at Saori’s exposed neck. She could hear the blood pulsing through her veins, tempting her to take a sip. She felt like she was on the edge of a cliff, her instincts urging her to jump.

But something inside her held her back. It wasn’t just the fear of hurting Saori, but also the growing feelings she had for her. Yuna had never felt this way about anyone before, and the thought of ruining their relationship with a single bite made her stomach churn.

She tried to push the hunger aside, but it only grew stronger, clouding her mind with a primal urge. Yuna felt like she was losing control, like the vampire inside her was taking over.

Saori stirred beside her, and Yuna quickly pulled away, feeling a sense of shame wash over her. She couldn’t believe she had even considered feeding on her friend.

 After a moment of consideration, she reached for her phone and dialed her sister’s number. As she did, she noticed she had several missed calls and text messages from Mika.

Mika: OMG, Yuna, are you ditching class to do something naughty with Saori? You wild child!

Mika: Hey, did Saori try to make a move on you? Did you blush like a tomato?

Mika: Yuna, if you and Saori are heating things up, make sure you use protection, okay? Don't want any accidents!

Mika: OMG, Yuna, did Saori take you to some steamy make-out spot? You better tell me all about it!

Mika: Yuna, if Saori tries anything sneaky, just scream bloody murder and I'll come to your rescue!

Mika: Hey, Yuna, did Saori sweep you off your feet? Did you swoon like a lovesick puppy?

Mika: Yuna, if Saori asks you to play strip poker, just remember to keep your clothes on and your poker face strong!

Mika: Hey, Yuna, if Saori gets too frisky, just remind her you're a lady and deserve to be treated with respect!

Mika: OMG, Yuna, are you and Saori exploring each other's bodies? You better give me all the juicy details!

Taking a deep breath, Yuna picked up the phone and dialed her sister. Mika's phone rang, and she answered it quickly, before the second ring had finished.

"What the hell, Yuna? What have you been up to?" Mika demanded angrily. "You haven't called or texted me since lunchtime! Where've you gone?"

Yuna tried to explain everything, trying not to panic as Mika grew increasingly angry.

"The time got away from me, Mika. Please believe me," she pleaded. "And besides, how am I supposed to answer when I don't know what's going on myself?"

"Well, maybe you shouldn't get yourself into these situations in the first place," Mika snapped back.

"Mika listen, I like Saori.... I mean like like.... I'm sitting here next to her. She's asleep, I could easily... feed.... but honestly, I don't want too... but..." Yuna trailed off. A sense of shame washed over her. It wasn't until that point that she truly understood what she was saying.

"... but what?", Mika asked impatiently.

"But I'm afraid I may lose control. That scares the crap out of me. I mean, I really like this girl."

Mika sighed deeply into the phone, taking a minute to digest Yuna's words. Then a sudden burst of excitement rushed through her body. She felt a surge of energy flood her senses. For a brief second, she forgot about Yuna's confession of love for Saori. Instead, she felt only the desire to feed upon the blood of her beloved younger sister.

"Listen, Yuna, I have an idea," she said excitedly, her tone changing from anger to eagerness.

"Let's just stay in tonight, I'm not really hungry anyways. Besides, there's alot of heat around town we should lay low for a while."

Yuna felt a strange sensation pass through her body at the sound of her sister's voice. It made her realize that her sister actually cared about her feelings as well as her safety. She hadn't realized that Mika had such a strong bond with her.

Yuna thought carefully about what Mika was suggesting, feeling a sense of relief wash over her.

"That sounds nice..." she said in response.

Yuna left a note on Saori's desk:

Saori,

I had a wonderful time! I would love to see you again. Maybe we can go shopping together sometime? I hate to just leave like this, but I didn't tell Mika where I was or what I was doing. She's freaking out! Says if I dont come home she'll come looking for me. Sorry! Love ya
