Special Bounty

R.C. once again was sitting in Pipp's office along with Codea and Milo. He sat in the chair seeming quite unmotivated.

"Let's get to it. I just want to get this done so I can go home." He said.

"Why the hell are you back here? Like a week ago you said you were done." Codea asked

"What can I say, I'm a popular guy."

Pipp cut into the conversation.

"The board specifically requested you three for a special bounty that's come up. I'm not really sure why, but I'm not in any position to question them."

"Oh I'm very aware of that. Now turn that screen on behind you and get on with it."

The screen went on with a map and some pictures on it.

"Uh... Alright then... So the C.A.N. the three of you are going to be Hunting this time is another El Dew-pra Cabra. We're pretty sure this is the one that nearly killed you a few weeks ago, R.C.."

"But what about that one that we killed the other night?" Codea Asked.

"We're pretty certain that one was just an offspring. This one you're hunting seems to be almost like a queen. Also it seems to have grown much larger from last time.

It was seen directly on the tarmac at the airport. There is concern that it will end up on a cargo plane and outside of the city.

You three just need to exterminate it and make sure it doesn't end up on any planes. As long as you manage that, you will of course be compensated generously. Any questions?"

Codea spoke up.

"Yeah I ha-"

R.C. interrupted her and began leaving the room.

"Alright let's go. Shouldn't be anything me and Baja can't handle."

"Who the hell is Baja?" She asked

"Don't you worry yourself Ms. Tsundere, you'll meet him soon enough.

...

"What the hell! That thing's going to be riding in the van with us!?" Codea said

They were all loading up the Jatorade van with their gear. They were in the Union's garage. Some agents brought out Baja, who was restrained and much larger now. It let out a screeching noise.

"Well yeah, where else is Baja going to ride?" R.C. replied.

"W-why the hell do you have a C.A.N.?"

"Because it's my pet. I trained him myself."

"When did you get that thing and how?"

"About a week ago. Don't sweat the details just get in the van. I want to get this over with."

"B-but-?"

R.C. just ignored her and got in his spot in the back of the van. Milo, seeming amused, opened the back door and waved the agents to load Baja into the back.

The ride all the way to the airport was completely silent. Codea was completely speechless. She wasn't even sure how she should be reacting.

Baja sat in the back with R.C. and was completely docile the whole trip. It only seemed to make screeching noises when Codea tried to speak.
