Chapter 117:

Chapter 117 Going Out

Content of the Magic Box

Suzuka was calm and collected because she knew that she had won this fight even before the match began. She looked straight into Isaac's charming eyes and said, "You know, it was fun playing around with you, it really was but I think it's time for me to claim the victory."

Isaac was a bit disturbed by the confidence and how calm she was despite being trapped in his ice prison. With a slightly concerned voice, he spoke, "I beg your pardon, dear. I fear that you have yet to fully comprehend the gravity of your situation. The ice cube that ensnares you is my own creation, one that not even the mightiest of behemoths can break free from, let alone a mere mortal such as yourself. I find it hard to fathom any conceivable way for you to emerge victorious. It is quite evident that the glory shall be mine."

Suzuka started to chuckle and said, "Oh Isaac, I could have won this fight the moment the bell rang."

"Oh?" Isaac asked intrigued, "Then how did you end up in my ice prison? Hmmm? Stop Jesting and admit defeat or will you defeat me with your bluffs?"

Suzuka got serious, her face menacing, her red eyes on full display installing fear into anyone who dared to look at them. She looked at Isaac without breaking eye contact and told him, "Because it was more fun this way but unfortunately the fun ended and so did our fight."

Right after these words, Isaac's body slowly started to get engulfed in a dark mist. But before he could think of anything his body suddenly hit the ground, it felt like a mountain weighed on his shoulders. Suzuka used her gravity magic to multiply Isaac's body weight, sending him into pain.

The pain was unbearable and Isaac started to shout, "I yield, I yield! I give up, victory is yours!"

As the massive ice cube she was trapped in crumbled, Suzuka was freed from Isaac's ice prison. With her spell canceled, Isaac stood up.

The coliseum commentator announced the victory with his blasting voice, "In the end, it's Helen who comes out on top, folks. Her raw strength and determination proved too much for Isaac to handle. She may have taken some hits along the way, but she never gave up, and that's what makes her a true champion. Helen, the gravity mage, has emerged triumphant in this epic battle, and the crowd! Get on your feet, and cheer her name! What a fight!"

With bated breath, the commentator continued his exclamation, "Ladies and gentlemen, Helen not only emerged victorious in the finals by defeating Maximus Decimus Meridius but also proved her mettle by taking down Isaac in a breathtaking battle of magic! This is what we call an unparalleled display of strength and skill! What a fight, what a fighter!" The excitement in the commentator's voice was high as he cheered the astounding performance.

Suzuka struck a cute victory pose as Isaac stood beside her.

"I must say, you have proven me wrong, my dear Helen," spoke Isaac in a dignified tone, extending his congratulations to her on her triumph. "As for the details of our partnership, let us discuss them at the guild on a later date, where we can properly make arrangements. Until then I bid farewell."

Suzuka answered while still striking poses for the crowd, "I would really like to go on some good paying quest with you Isaac. I am really out of coins. We can meet tomorrow at the guild and see what we can find. Is that fine with you?"

"So we shall meet, until then," Isaac said as he left the arena.

The arena commentator's voice boomed over the arena, "Ladies and gentlemen, what an incredible finale we've just witnessed! The Grand Minotaur Tournament has come to a thrilling conclusion, with the final match between Helen and Isaac leaving us all on the edge of our seats!" After a short pause he continued speaking, "With a hurting heart, I must announce the end of the tournament, what a great day it was, folks! I hope to see you all next time, until then I say goodbye to you all!"

The commentator left the stand and so the crowd, the coliseum was empty. Suzuka walked out of the coliseum's main gates onto the bustling streets of Rockmine town, lost in thought. She was still reeling from her latest fight, a brutal bout against a minotaur that had left her with no coins to her name.

As she beat herself up for her loss, she suddenly felt a strong arm wrap around her waist from behind and a hand covering her eyes. A soft and seductive voice whispered in her ear, "Well, well, well, look who it is. It's been too long, Suzu. What's troubling you so much that you let your guard down?"

Suzuka's heart skipped a beat as she recognized the voice. It was none other than Olivia.

She tried to maintain her composure as she replied, "Oh, hi Olivia. It's nothing really. Just a tough loss in the arena, that's all. Mentally and financially."

Olivia chuckled, her breath hot against Suzuka's ear. "I have to say, Suzu, I was mighty impressed with your fighting skills out there. I have to say, at one point I was feeling jealous of Leonidas' position." Olivia playfully chuckled and continued speaking, "Well, don't worry about the loss right now. Better yet, let's go somewhere quiet, let it be our second date. I've missed you, Suzu."

Suzuka happily agreed, "Second date? Yeah, that would be nice. Not so much vine thought,  let's get some food. I'm starving after all the fighting. But nothing too fancy, okay? I'm a bit low on coins."

Olivia stood behind Suzuka, a sly grin on her face as she wrapped both of her arms around Suzuka's slim waist. She pressed her body against Suzuka's, reveling in the warmth and familiarity of her lover's touch.

"Don't worry, my love," Olivia whispered into Suzuka's ear. "It's my treat today." She placed a soft kiss on the back of Suzuka's neck, sending shivers down her spine.

Olivia's words were reassuring, and Suzuka felt a weight lift off her shoulders. It was difficult for her to accept Olivia's kindness, having grown up with very little. She always felt like she had to earn everything she received.

"Besides," Olivia continued, "who needs fancy when we have each other?" Her words were like a balm to Suzuka's soul, soothing her worries and reminding her of what was truly important.

Suzuka leaned back into Olivia's embrace, feeling safe and loved. She closed her eyes and breathed in Olivia's scent, feeling grateful for the woman who had entered her life and turned everything upside down.

Suzuka couldn't help but giggle at Olivia's flirty remark. "You always know just what to say to make me feel special."

Olivia nuzzled her face into Suzuka's hair and whispered, "That's because you are special, Suzu. You're the most amazing person I've ever met. And the way you handled yourself in the arena? It's positively enchanting."

Suzuka blushed at the compliment and turned around to face Olivia. "You're too sweet. I don't deserve all this praise."

Olivia leaned in, her soft breath brushing against Suzuka's cheek as she reached out to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. "You deserve everything, and then some," she whispered, a playful smile dancing on her lips.

With a glint in her eye that hinted at mischief and adventure, Olivia added, "But first, let's fill our bellies with something delicious. I don't want you fainting from hunger on me, now do I?"

Suzuka smiled and shook her head, feeling lucky to have someone like Olivia in her life. "Lead the way, then," Suzuka replied, her voice laced with excitement. "I'm up for anything. Where do you want to go?"

Olivia couldn't resist taking Suzuka's hand and pulling her through the lively streets of Rockmine town, her heart racing with excitement. "Okay then, gorgeous. Let's go. I know of a place that serves the most delicious steak you've ever tasted. And the ambiance is perfect for a romantic evening," Olivia said with a flirty smile, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

Suzuka couldn't help but feel a flutter in her chest at the mention of a romantic date. She and Olivia had known each other for a while now, but they hadn't really labeled their relationship. Still, the way Olivia had been acting lately made Suzuka feel like they were inching closer and closer to becoming something more than friends.

As they walked on the streets of Rockmine town the weather turned for the worse. The rain started to fall in torrents, the drops pummeling the ground with a steady, relentless beat. The sky was shrouded in darkness, the clouds so thick that they seemed to press down on the world below.

Occasional flashes of lightning lit up the sky, illuminating the streets and casting eerie shadows on the walls of the buildings. The thunder rumbled in the distance, a low, menacing growl that sent shivers.

The wind howled through the trees, whipping the branches back and forth with a violent force. The leaves rustled and shook, torn from their moorings and sent spiraling into the air.

Soon the streets were empty, the only sounds were the patter of rain on the pavement and the occasional crash of thunder. The shops and houses were shuttered, and their occupants huddled inside, safe and dry from the raging storm.

But even the shelter of a warm and cozy home couldn't completely protect against the oppressive atmosphere of the evening. The storm seemed to seep into everything, bringing with it a sense of foreboding and unease.

The air was filled with the aroma of sizzling food, the sounds of laughter and chatter, and the glow of lanterns illuminating the narrow streets. Olivia led Suzuka down an alleyway and turned a corner, revealing a quaint little restaurant tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the town. "Voila, we're here!" Olivia exclaimed, gesturing towards the cozy establishment.

Suzuka couldn't help but notice the way Olivia's eyes seemed to sparkle in the dim light. The way her hair fell across her shoulders in perfect waves, the way her lips curved into a seductive smile when she caught Suzuka's eye. It was all too much for Suzuka to resist.

The restaurant was adorned with rustic décor, warm lighting, and soft music playing in the background. Olivia pulled out a chair for Suzuka and took a seat across from her, gazing into her eyes. "I hope you're hungry because we're in for a treat tonight. The steak here is out of this world," Olivia said, her voice low and seductive.

As they sat down to enjoy their food, Suzuka reached across the table to take Olivia's hand. Olivia's hand tightened around Suzuka's, her gaze locked on Suzuka's face. As they sat at the bar, Olivia kept the conversation flowing with ease. She was charming and flirtatious.

"You know, Suzu, you have a real spark to you," Olivia said, leaning in closer. "I love a woman who can hold her own in the arena. It's so sexy."

Suzuka felt a shiver run down her spine at Olivia's words. She had never felt so desired before. "Well, I'm glad you think so but I need to strive to be better," she said, trying to sound confident.
