“So please tell me, how do you end up in the Ravensfield Labyrinth?”

She looked down at me while I snuggled in bed with bandages all over my body. I was half naked but I still have my pants on thankfully. My chest has been covered by well-dressed bandages, especially in the area where I got stabbed. Waiting for an answer, my consciousness returns slightly. I look at her with her dazzling eyes.

“Long story you see I was summoned by the goddess Nerthus, the Emperor of the country Heisen gave us a mission to destroy the Demonic league and save humanity from their plans of eradicating humanity.” I humbly answered her question.

“That’s all I know from them.”

Remembering when we were sent to the Ravensfield Labyrinth it was just combat training giving us experience to people who are still used to modern peace and social stability, based on what they’ve seen from their previous world.

Realising that none of it was beneficial in this world where bloody wars and executions were the only main methods of solving problems.

In the past few months since we got summoned by the goddess Nerthus my main class was nothing useful being meddled by my classmates and degrading me by pulling me further.

I had enough of it, I want to leave the party although I contributed my capabilities to support my party but no, they want me dead. I wouldn’t care anyways.

“I understand your story Fujioka-san.”

Claudia tries to comfort Kazuki from his horrible past. Kazuki has made a plan to get stronger and confront them If I have the opportunity to see them again.

There is something that lingers from within at the bottom of my heart my hatred for those who betrayed me, used me, and treated me like a garbage can. Kazuki struggles to hide his aggression in front of Claudia.

I got out of the bed and started looking for my armour and sword. As Kazuki searched for his equipment, he realised that his sword and armour were gone.

Panic set in as he remembered losing them during their battle in the Ravensfield Labyrinth. He cursed himself for being so careless and allowing himself to be distracted during the fight.

Claudia noticed his distress and asked what was wrong. Kazuki explained his predicament, and the girl suggested that he try creating his weapon of choice. At first, he was hesitant, but he realised that he had nothing to lose.

He agreed to Claudia’s suggestion and began constructing a firearm. He gathered the necessary materials and started working on the weapon.

The process was difficult, and he struggled to get everything right. But he persevered and continued working, determined to create a weapon that would not only help him in battle but also prove to his former party members that he was not to be underestimated.

Days turned into weeks, and Kazuki spent all his time and energy building the firearm. The firearm he created is a 6-shot revolver that is capable of firing 120 Round Per Minute.

The gun itself is a replica of the modern revolver. After creating the revolver he began constructing a primary weapon. The weapon is a lever-action hunting rifle that holds 9 to 13 rounds of cartridge.

The materials to create this weapon are; Aurumite is a rare and precious metal that possesses a brilliant, silver hue. It is a highly sought-after material in many ancient cultures and civilizations, prized for its beauty and durability.

Auramite is known for its remarkable resistance to corrosion and tarnishing, which has made it a popular material for crafting fine jewellery, ceremonial objects, and other precious artefacts that are meant to last for generations.

Beyond its decorative qualities, Aurumite also possesses unique properties that have made it a valuable resource in many fields, including alchemy, metallurgy, and magic. It said that Aurumite is imbued with powerful energy that can be harnessed and amplified by skilled blacksmiths and practitioners.

Second is Thunderstone, which is a rare and powerful ore that can generate incredible electrical charges when exposed to intense heat or pressure. It is a deep, charcoal grey metal that is known for its durability, strength and unique properties that make it a valuable resource for crafting powerful weapons.

The mining and refinement of Thunderstone is a complex process, requiring skilled artisans and craftsmen who have mastered the art of metallurgy and engineering.

And Lastly, Thunderdust is a powerful and explosive substance that is used in the creation of firearms and other advanced weaponry. It is a fine, grey powder that is composed of several potent chemicals and minerals, including saltpetre, sulphur, and charcoal.

Finally, after months of hard work, Kazuki had completed his masterpiece. He then tested it out and was impressed with its accuracy and power Claudia was impressed at what he created and congratulated him on his success.

After a long day of working hard on creating these new sets of weapons, I decided to take a little stroll in the town square looking to cure my boredom.

Looking around the spacious room I found myself inside an Inn tavern. My room was located on the second floor of the Tavern. There were many people inside the tavern. The place was loud and full of life. Many people would stop by and treat themselves every day.

Claudia was the first one to leave the room before me. It is because I slept for god knows how long since I accomplished constructing my weapon.

I immediately stood up in front of me was a wardrobe inside it was a shirt I think it was reserved for me, I put it on and left my stuff in the room and opened the door and rushed out.

I arrived at the front door of the Inn and confidently opened the door to get out and look for her. As I stepped outside I saw the razing sun glare into my eyes. I covered my face like I was blocking my eyes from the glare of the sun.

After I recovered my sense of sight I townsfolk walked on the cobblestone sidewalk minding their own business. In front of me was a fountain where people take a break and sit on one of those benches surrounding the water reservoir.

As Kazuki walked around the town square, he couldn’t help but notice the various shops and stalls that lined the streets. The scent of fresh baked goods, roasted meats, and exotic spices filled the air making his mouth water.

I tried not to notice the tempting desire to taste delicious pastries since I don’t have cash in me, yet again I focused on my quest to find Claudia.

As I passed through food stalls I saw a person standing beside a tree looking anxious. It seems she’s a woman, she looks familiar though. I decided to walk towards her as I tried to get near her without a doubt it was Claudia herself.

Trying to process the situation, I approached her as I came closer she noticed me but she didn’t bother asking why. Without acting any suspiciously with the townsfolk I slowly walk towards her and sit beside her.

“So, uh… what’s wrong?” I asked.

“Huh?”

“You know, something is happening when you’re like that.”

Claudia had no choice but to open herself to Kazuki, but since Kazuki asked politely she insisted to tell him.

“Well, it’s just you know problems.”

“What sort of problems?”

“About the past, where I was from.”

Her tone became soft and depressing as she was telling a tragic story. But I didn’t bother to listen to her.

Claudia was the daughter of nobility, back then she was popular, charming and clever with her surroundings and had gained interest in fighting; she constantly signed up for fencing tournaments in her city and gained fame from her powerful techniques. Her nobility house.

House of Wellenpealte was a renowned and prestigious family; they were famous for being a bloodless and benevolent Lord in their region.

Claudia was the elegant, graceful woman of the Wellenpealte family, From an early age she was exposed to the luxuries and privileges that came with her family’s wealth and status.

Despite her upbringing, Claudia never took her position for granted. She was always looking for ways to challenge herself and push beyond her comfort zone. It was this drive that led her to take an interest in fencing, a sport that was traditionally reserved for men.

After winning many fencing tournaments, Claudia then switched her interest to magic. Before, magic and incantations didn’t interest her in any way, but despite being bored with fencing, she gave magic a try.

She manages to find spell books in the family library, and she reads and practises every spell in the book. Claudia immediately found an interest in sorcery, even though she didn’t think she would.

After years of practice, she could cast spells without the use of incantations, making her one of the rarest mages in the world who could cast a spell without incantation.

She was proud of her efforts, and her favourite spells were dark magic, which was highly heretical in the world.

She kept her spells hidden from others so that she wouldn’t be accused of collaborating with demons or being a heretic.

Despite her fame and family’s influence, there was no way she could escape punishment if her secret were discovered.

One fateful day, her father called her to discuss matters regarding Claudia’s status, and he wanted her to marry a lord from another family. This marriage was a plan to ally with the Wellenpealte family.

Claudia declined, but she had no right to decline her father’s decision when she met the lord she was supposed to marry a few days later. However, the lord wasn’t interested in the alliance itself; he wanted to take over the House of Wellenpealte.

Claudia felt scared, angry and confused. She stabbed the lord in the neck and managed to run away. However, the lord survived the attack and called all the guards to capture her.

She quietly stopped talking. She moved her down where I was sitting from and looked into my eyes, I stood up and held her hand. I felt very nervous and embarrassed about it but confidently gazed into her face.

“Claudia-san I think you are doing good for the sake of you.”

“Everything is in the past now, I will protect you as your knight and shining armour.”

I expressed all of my feelings for her, without a doubt, it was more like a confession than comforting. Whatever the case It was my first time talking to a person of the opposite sex. Not how I was in my previous world but I did it.

Claudia raised her eyebrows and smiled happily, at the same moment she hugged me tightly accepting me as her protector and lover.

“Yes, I finally found the person who understands me.” She replied.

“I pledge my sole loyalty to you, I am your sword and partner together we are strong.”

Kazuki and Claudia finally open themselves as partners in life, a guy who was left abandoned by his comrades finds sanctuary in the touch and heat of a beautiful maiden. But Kazuki knows his story is just the beginning he will not stop until he finds justice for whoever betrayed him.

The two of them walked happily together under the evening night sky with lampposts lighting their way as they walked past buildings. They were having the time of their lives, after sightseeing, Kazuki and Claudia took a seat on one of the chairs outside of a restaurant.

“Claudia, I want to explore and adventure the continent.”

“And, I want to sign up to be an adventurer.”

“Well If you want there’s a nearby Adventurer’s Guild in this town. Let’s go and take a visit tomorrow morning.”

“Sure, that would be great.”

As talking ended, Kazuki and Claudia walked their way back to the Inn as they walked past many attractions of the great scenery of the town, especially under the dark blessed night. We arrived at the Tavern and I opened the door. There were many people inside, many were drinking, sleeping, and even singing together.

I climbed up the stairs and tuck into bed, together with Claudia. Kazuki wants to cover the hidden secrets of this world, especially the Theocracy Empire Heisen. And along with other tribes in this magical world. But before that, Kazuki must prepare himself to become the Mercenary he always loved, the class that was given to him. To him, it wasn't a curse nor it is weak but a blessing.
