Unlikely Allies

After being shocked, Seiji speaks up. "You're sorry? What are you talking about?" Seiji asks. "I've seen how strong you both are firsthand. You have the potential to beat my boss so I'll help you." Chi explains.

"We couldn't trust you as far as we can throw you! Which is pretty far! What in the hell makes you think we'd-!" Seiji exclaims. Haruto puts in hand on Seiji's shoulder. "We could always kill her easily if she betrays us. Just go with it for now." Haruto says.

"Haruto... You're far too trusting. But I'll listen I guess." Seiji declares. Seiji looks towards Chi. "Hey. Grandma. This guy and I here are gonna go now and ponder this. Do whatever you need to and meet us back here tomorrow." Seiji proclaims. "Grandma!? I'm only 24! But whatever." Chi replies.

"Yeah yeah, whatever catch you later." Seiji responds. Seiji walks away with Haruto and they go to Seiji's house. As they close the front door behind them, Tsubaki is waiting there. "Hey, Seiji! You said you'd train me today?! What gives!" She shouts.

"In a bit. I have to talk to Haruto for a bit. Go wait in your room while we talk in the living room." Seiji declares. "Fine. But you better keep your promise." Tsubaki replies. She walks up the stairs and her door closes. Haruto and Seiji go into the living room and sit down.

"So... Haruto... What was..." Seiji starts to snicker. "What was what?" Haruto asks. "What was... Galaxy Buster?" Seiji proclaims. Seiji bursts out laughing and Haruto turns red. "Sh-Shut up! You aren't better with your "Starlight Arrow!" That's as bad as mine!" Haruto shouts.

"Starlight Arrow is a pretty good name to be fair but Galaxy Buster!?" Seiji exclaims. "I tried going with a space theme like you did!" Haruto exclaims. Seiji calms down. "Don't worry man. I'll help you come up with a better name. But first, let's get down to business." Seiji announces. "To defeat the huns?" Haruto declares.

"Okay, I'M the one who makes the references around here! But that's a good one." Seiji responds. "Anyway, you wanted to talk about Chi right?" Haruto asks. "That, and the fact you rose from the dead somehow! How'd you do that?" Seiji exclaims.

"To be honest I don't know. All of a sudden I felt like I had to fight and then I just woke up I guess." Haruto explains."That explains nothing but we'll find answers soon enough I guess. Now for the Chi situation. Do you think she's telling the truth?" Seiji questions.

"Whether she is or she isn't doesn't matter. We either kill her or we don't. But I think she was serious so I'll take her word for it." Haruto confesses. "Alright, then I'll trust you." Seiji replies. The room falls silent for a bit. "I actually promised my sister I'd make her something so I have to go. I'll talk to you in a bit. See you later Seiji." Haruto proclaims.

"Yeah no problem Haruto. See you later." Seiji retorts. Haruto leaves through the front door and he closes it behind him. Seiji looks at the setting sun. "Guess I'll just do my homework or something." Seiji thinks. As Seiji walks up the stairs and walks past Tsubaki's room, Tsubaki opens the door. "Haruto's gone! Will you train me now!?" Tsubaki exclaims.

"No Tsubaki. I have homework. Tomorrow's a snow day so we'll be home. I'll teach you in the morning I guess..." Seiji replies."Yes! Thanks brother!" Tsubaki says as closes her door with a smile. Seiji sighs. "How could this get any more insane?"

Seiji walks into his room and closes his door. Saran lays in her bed, staring at the ceiling.

 "A snow day huh..." She thinks.
