Chapter 5:

Discovering the World

The Stars in a New World

As I grew up older I began to understand what has been happening. In this world, they believe they are the center of the universe. At least they don't believe that their world is flat.

I'm now 6 years old and can speak. I'm able to communicate with my family. Ursula and I have been getting along extremely well. She just had her 12th birthday.

Meanwhile I had been building something in my room. A telescope! With memories from my previous life I was able to retain how to build a reflection telescope. I have it covered up in my closet during the day so no one knows it exists.

One night I had it set up looking at a star that doesn't move. I named it Norvin. I figure it'd be best if I didn't completely rip off the star names from my previous world. I felt like as if the stars were different so it didn't feel right naming them stars that already existed. However the constellation it's a part of I ended up calling it Ursula since it reminds me of the Ursula major and minor constellations back on Earth.

After that I began keeping track of which stars moved where. Keeping track of the names. I had stored a notebook full of all the information as well as started to keep a map of what I saw. Based how the sun sets raise and fall on Southern side. I deduced that I'm in the Northern hemisphere of this world.

But, when I thought I had things under wrap. That's when my sister came in one night.
