Chapter 1:

Everyday Life with Yandere

The Cute Side of My Yandere Girlfriend

Normal day at school with nothing interesting happened. Today's class also boring as usual. All students were busy with themselves throughout class without paying attention to the class. There are people drawing in their notebooks, some are playing with their phones, some are sleeping. Well there are still students who are listening to the teacher, but the number can be counted by fingers.

I'm not much different from them. Throughout the lesson, I kept looking at the sky while wondering when the recess bell to ring. And when that time comes, I hastily cleared up my desk then ran out of class. But before I could get through the door, someone called me.

"Minamoto-kun, aren't you on duty today? Clean the board before you go, will you?"

Inoue-san, our class representative told me with angry face. It's not like I'm slacking off on purpose, I'm just so looking forward to lunch time that I forgot about my duty.

Without talking back, I properly wipe the board clean and then run out from the class.

"Don't run in the hallway!"

The class rep yells at me but I ignore her. I don't care about breaking the rules. I'm in a hurry right now, and I can't keep her waiting any longer.

I make a run all the way to the garden outside the school building. When I almost arrived at my destination, I see someone sitting on a bench.

"Sorry! Did you wait long?"

The girl shake her head gently at my question.

"Mm-hmm~ I just arrived as well."

That's a total lie.

I know her very well. She is the type of person who shows up at the meeting place at least thirty minutes before the appointment time. So, she must be already here right after the bell rang.

But, it's not a good thing to bring it up so I stay quiet. I go sit beside her then open my bento.

"Did you make it yourself, Tsukinaga-san?"

"Yes, I always make my own bento."

"You must be really good at cooking, your bento always looks delicious."

"Not really. I just love making food for myself. At first I often failed to make food the way i wanted, but after countless trial, I was able to make a proper meal. The feeling of tasting your food and found it delicious is blissful."

Her gentle expression as she speaks fascinated me. She looks enjoyed herself so much. After all those stories, how could I not fall deeper with her?

"You really are amazing, Tsukinaga-san. If it's me, I wouldn't be able to stand doing something that I'm not good at."

"No, Minamoto-kun. You have your own strength."

"Haha, thanks. But, you don't need to flatter me like that. No one knows better than me that I am good for nothing."

"Minamoto-kun."

Tsukinaga-san sounded angry with how I was making fun of myself. To me, it's just a joke. But it doesn't appear like that for her.

However, instead of apologizing, I took the other way out.

"Let's just put it like this. I'm a completely ordinary person. For someone like me who could get a wonderful woman like you, is that counted as one of my strengths?"

Tsukinaga-san was taken aback by my sudden turn of words. Her cheeks are tainted with red right now.

"So Tsukinaga-san, in order to help this helpless person, will you become my strength by making me miso soup everyday?"

One more time, she rendered speechless by my words.

"You are exaggerating," she chuckled.

"Well, maybe making you miso soup everyday is too much for me right now, how about i make you one tomorrow?"

She steal a glance as she asked. For a moment, my brain stop working.

"Make what? Miso soup?"

"Why do we keep talking about miso soup? (lol) I'm talking about bento."

Is that even a question? I think there's only one answer for that.

"With pleasure!"

I answered excitedly. But I suddenly think from the opposite point of view.

"But is it okay? Am I not burdening you?"

"It's fine. All I need to do is just increase the amount of my cooking. It's not biggie."

"If you say so then I accept your kindness."

I tried to remain calm but honestly I can't wait to taste her cooking tomorrow noon.

When we are enjoying our lunch together, I hear chatter come closer. When I turned my head, I could see a group of girls walking this way.

"Oh hey! Isn't that Minamoto-kun? What are you doing here?"

Before I could answer, another girl butted in.

"Rather than that, who is this girl? Is she your girlfriend?"

"Er.... You could say so."

I laughed awkwardly.

"Hee... So because of this you always leave class early."

"Ahahaha."

Once more, I laughed awkwardly.

"You should introduce her to us."

I glanced at Tsukinaga-san before answer.

"Maybe next time."

"Eh~"

A sound of disappointment resounded.

"Come on! Why not?"

"Is there anyone at class know you are seeing someone?"

"No, I guess. I haven't talk about it to anyone."

"Then we shall announce it."

"Yeah, let's do it."

"N-No, that's...."

"Come on girls, we shouldn't disrupt them. Sorry for interrupting your precious time. Let's go!"

"Eh~ But I want to talk to them more. Wa-Wait a minute, Kaede! Why you left us behind?"

The girl I don't know bowed to me as if apologizing for her friends' behavior. Looking at their friend leaving, these two rushed after her.

"Bye, Minamoto-kun! Wait for me, Kaede! Why are you walking so fast? Kaede!!"

"See you at the next class, Minamoto-kun!"

I waved back as they walked away. After they gone, I let out a long sigh.

"As I thought, I'm not good at dealing with nosy girls."

"Hey, Minamoto-kun."

A shiver ran down my spines when I heard a low-deep voice.

"What's wrong, Tsukinaga-san?"

I responded to her call without facing her. I'm too scared to do so.

"Who were those girls?"

"Two of them are girls from my class, but I don't know the last one."

"Hm...."

Her ambiguous response killed me. I'm completely lost about what she's thinking right now. Why the hell I feel guilty without doing anything wrong?!

After a long silence, an ear-piercing sound echoes.

*Crack*

My shoulder jolted when I heard something cracked. This time, I turned my head reflexively out of curiosity.

"Sorry Minamoto-kun, it seems that my chopsticks are broke. Can you lend me yours?"

Didn't you just break it yourself?!

"Okay.... But how do I—?!"

As I was thinking of ways to help her, I was surprised by the way Chi-chan posing right now.

"Feed me."

"Eh?!"

I'm at a loss for words.

What's with that attitude? What's with this situation?

She leans to me with both eyes closed and mouth wide open. She keeps in that position even after a while. It seems that her mouth won't close until I really put food in her mouth.

"Aaaaaaahhhhhh"

She let out a voice that only pressured me more. With hands trembling, I pick up the octopus-shape sausage from her bento box to the owner's mouth. When I finally put it in, I shut my eyes out of embarrassment.

When I open my eyes again, Tsukinaga-san still not letting go of my chopsticks.

Moshi moshi, Tsukinaga-san? Aren't you enjoying my chopsticks too much? I can't eat like this.

I don't know how many seconds it has passed, but she keeps biting my chopsticks without care of the world.

After a whole minute, finally she leaves my chopsticks alone.

"Delish!"

She said as she chewed her food.

Of course. That is your own food. You cook it yourself!

When I turned my gaze to the chopsticks in my hand, I captured something strange.

Is it...wet?

I was suspicious when I saw that my chopsticks were shiny.

"Hey, Tsukinaga-san, did you just...."

When I about to ask Tsukinaga-san, she already eating with new chopsticks.

"Didn't your chopsticks broken?"

"I always carry an extra pairs just in case?"

I stunned. If she's been bringing another pair all this time, then why did she ask me to feed her?

"Humphf?!"

"If you open your mouth like that, a bug might fly in."

Tsukinaga-san suddenly shove something in my mouth. When I tried to chew it, my eyebrows shot up.

"Tasty, isn't it? My tamagoyaki."

She asked with a smile filling her face. As a response, I nodded three times. The flavor, the texture, it's perfect.

"Anticipate your bento tomorrow."

As we continue our lunch, my mind drifts to the sky impatiently waiting for tomorrow to come.

I'm hoping that tomorrow will come faster so I can eat Tsukinaga-san's handmade bento. But I also don't want my time with Tsukinaga-san right now come to end.

Every second I spend with her is extremely precious for me. It seems that every time I spend with her, I become more and more selfish.
