Hypnos

"Darkness,
Darkness is all I've ever really felt.
Trapped in my thoughts all this time, eternally thinking about the most nonsensical things." 
That was the train of thoughts it held.

until..

A small light shined through the empty darkness, that consumed this unknown place all this time.
Slowly getting brighter and brighter.
At first it thought of the light as intriguing, but very soon it became annoyed by it.
How could it not?
"All this time I've been left alone in my thoughts, why am I being bothered now?" it thought.
That didn't matter though, the light persisted.
Not only that, but it also grew larger.
So large in fact that there was no darkness left!

After all this time.

It has awoken.
