Tokage - chan's pov

When I opened my eyes, I saw a lot of people moving. I'm not sure what they were doing. Too much noise. Too much light. I lifted my head, the lights were too bright that I thought I would go blind. I could see everyone clearly. They were definitely humans. I must have been sleeping for a while. I saw a few people looking at me. They had a weird look on their face. I felt as if humans became smaller. Like they were about my own size. I felt really weird. Did they shrink!? I'm still not sure.. but the world definitely looks different to me.. the things that looks too big to me before, look really small. The things I used to climb on and on to reach the top, look too near now. Did the world shrink? Or have I become large. I'm not sure, even now. When I got up that time, I started walking like I used to.. of course I would do that, that's the only way I knew how to walk.. but the humans around me started looking at me in a weird way.. some of them moved back as soon as the saw me.. some stood there shocked.. some  picked their.... What was it again? Ph- ph- pho- phon? No that's wrong? but I forgot what it was so let's leave it at that.. they took out whatever-that-was and light came out of it, that scared me a bit so I went away from them.. I tried to approach a few people but they ran away.. I realized that how I feel they are moving in a different way, I mean on two legs, they must be thinking the same thing.. but I didn't know what to do.. oh of course I tried to eat what I used to! Those delicious insects didn't taste like they used to.. I came to the conclusion that I have become a human.. probably.. so now I need human food.. but humans won't give me any.. I tried to catch the prey like I used to but they snatched it back from me.. even though I saw that first? Maybe they caught that and put in front of them just to make me feel that they have food and I have none?? But they gave food to other human who walked on two legs! So I thought that maybe the way I walk is different.. but I couldn't walk like them.. I tried but fell down every time.. so I gave up.. after observing them for a while, I saw them giving a piece of paper and getting food in return.. one of them called it "money".. I finally understood what it was that controlled this world! It was money.. as long as you have money, you can have anything. Of course I had none, so I thought I'd probably die like this.. with this hunger.. but all my calculations were wrong.. when I saw That person, his eyes were wide open but that look wasn't like any other human I saw before.. I felt as if that person can save me.. but then, he looked down and turned to leave.. I saw my only hope disappearing, that scared me.. so I grabbed his leg.. that feels weird now that I'm standing.. but yeah I did that.. he was a human as well so of course he got scared too.. but all those bags of food he had, he threw them at me and ran away saying don't eat me.. I thought stupid! how can a lizard ever eat a human?at least not now that I've turned into a human.. or do humans eat humans? But I was right.. he was a good person.. he saved me.. and then, I knew there are things that even money can't buy.. he had those.. he looked like hero to me.. I ate all that as I was hungry.. I, somehow, gained the courage to walk again.. waa it because I felt happy and grateful? Or because I wasn't hungry anymore? I don't know, but I tried and tried.. even though I felt I would never be able to walk like other humans ever but I still tried.. as soon as I got the hang of it.. I saw him again.. he was looking at me.. with that same look.. as if he was amazed.. his eyes were glowing.. I felt proud to be able to walk like him.. all those efforts worked.. or so I thought.. I fell down as soon as he started talking to me.. I felt ashamed.. but I was happy.. because I never thought I would see him again.. so I couldn't let this opportunity go.. I asked him to take me with him.. surprisingly, he agreed.. though he asked a few things but he agreed in the end.. just as I thought, he is a good person.. right now I'm on my way to meet his friends? I still don't remember anything about me.. why I can think like a normal human? Why did I ever end up like this? Why can I speak their language? Who am I? Where am I from? I remember nothing.. but I want to know more about him.. and this world..

"Oi don't you get lost! I'm not good at finding people.. I would get lost as well if I start looking for you" he said. 

Oh I've been thinking too much..

"Sorry" she said and smiled "let's go"

Fireworks ended. Crowd was getting smaller and smaller.. " I wonder if they are still there.. we could see them if we didn't stop to see the fireworks.. but now I'm not sure.." ryuta said and looked at her "ahh I didn't mean to say it like that.. fireworks were really beautiful" he said and laughed nervously. "How do you know? You weren't even looking at them?" She said while innocently staring at him. 

So she knew???? Help- I did look at them.. even though I was thinking about her.. but.. ehhh? Why didn't she say something before?? she must be thinking that I'm-

"What's wrong? Your face is all red?" She asked as she came closer."I'm.. okay.. probably.." he said. That was obviously a lie. She was confused. But she accepted that as a normal thing for humans. "Umm.. we are almost there.. so like.. when I introduce you to them.. what should I call you? Ahh I don't mean anything weird by that!! I.. uh.." he asked nervously. He didn't wanted to be misunderstood. "Just call me tokage - chan" she replied very seriously. "Pfft- tokage means lizard? you know that right? Shouldn't we think of a normal name?" He laughed. "But I'm a lizard." She was dead serious. "I mean.. it's not like my name is human just because I'm a human? So like.." he wasn't sure how to explain that. "But we don't have names like humans.. and it's not like there are other lizards who turned into humans.. so you can just call me that?" She replied, still serious. "I didn't mean it like that but it would be weird..... ahhhh okay.. I'll do something about that" he said while scratching his head as if thinking what to do next.

"Ohh you guys are still here!!? I thought you left?" He said as soon as he saw his friends. They were still sitting where he left them. "Ryu! Why did you leave suddenly? We were waiting for you to return!!" Shinji said when he heard ryuta's voice. They ate their food and packed everything. They were ready to leave as soon as ryuta came back. "You idiot nerd! Why didn't you pick up the phone when we called? If something happened to you, I wouldn't be able to face aunt!" Said akane. "Now now akane.. how could he do that when he was with aoi - san!?" Shinji said. 

"Will you guys shut up and let me say something??" Said ryuta. He was angry. He wanted to explain such a serious topic, yet they started making fun of him as soon as they saw him. "Sure suree!! We want to hear how your date with aoi-" he got interrupted by ryuta. He was really angry. "Aoi aoi aoi !! I said I don't like her like that!! Will you please stop it??" He said. He knew they might make fun of him if he tell them tokage - chan's story but he still wanted to share. Shinji wanted to say something. Probably something to make fun of him again. Akane put her hand on his shoulder "Stop it shinji. I think he's serious right now.." she looked at ryuta "so? What is it?" 

" You may not believe what I'm going to say but all of this is true.. or so I want to believe" ryuta said.

"Why do you sound like you aren't sure yourself? And I want to know who that girl is? The one standing behind you.. who's she?" Asked akane. Tokage - chan was scared to face his friends. Even though she looked so confident before.. but she was now hiding behind ryuta for some reason.

"Yeah, I about to explain that.. so listen carefully. I'm going to say whatever she told me and all of this seems to be true. But I don't think it's possible. Any normal person would think that she has some mental disorder or something? I thought so too.. but she doesn't seem to be joking.. I know you will make fun of me after hearing this.. But I will tell you whatever I know.." he said.

He looks dead serious!!! What is it!? Just tell us already!!

Thought both akane and shinji. He added, "The truth is that.."  They were staring at him, wondering what it can be.
