I trusted you...

It was a normal day after school. Hiroshi was walking alone to his house, when he saw a couple making out. He knows what to do. Luckily or you could say, unluckily, he was energetic that day, so he decided to go out for a hunting spree. He really hates these couples. Was his past so severe that it affects him and his mentality so severely?

It was nighttime, actually there was no couples that day. Seems like people are getting aware of the "Quixotic Predators". Hiroshi doesn't mind though. Because that is exactly what he wants. He hates killing too. But he cannot stop. Its like something from behind takes over his body and does the killing for him. Although he hates the feeling, he has gotten used to it.

At last of his hunting spree, he found one couple. And of course, he killed them. He took their heads and closed their eyes, when something wild happens.

He noticed a hand knife just barely grazing by his neck when he was closing their eyes. Somebody's trying to kill him. But who could it be?

He looked at the area from where the knife came flying from. To his surprise, it was none other than Yuki, wearing a mask to cover her identity. Was she also in a hunting spree too? Well, she wasn't in a hunting spree. Rather, what happened was she saw Hiroshi going on a hunting spree, so Yuki decided to be a spectator and watch him.

Hiroshi backs up and says,

"I can't believe you betrayed me"

"Betray? When did I do that? Look back"

Hiroshi decided to look behind him. He saw that a person who was trying to get a video footage of the Quixotic Predators' action was killed by her. But when he looks back at Yuki, she wasn't there. Rather she was at arms length from Hiroshi, holding a knife at his throat. Is this really the end for Hiroshi?

Instead of killing him right then and there, Yuki backs up to his original spot and tried to engage in a conversation.

"I trusted you for a bit. But this is complete betrayal."

"Huh? Did our agreement say anything about not killing each other?"

"Then you agree that I can also kill you?"

"But you can't, can you?"

Hiroshi went silent. Its true that he can't kill her, because his dark side doesn't activate when he tries to kill her.

"Hey, I've been wondering, why can't you kill me even though you can kill others? Why do you kill? What made you this way?", Yuki asks.

No answer from Hiroshi. But its not that he decides not to answer. Rather, he cannot answer. When he was asked these questions, he started feeling dizzy. His heart rate increased, he couldn't stand straight. And it's because his past memories came back to haunt him again. Losing all the strength in his body, he fell down unconscious.

Now, Yuki is in trouble, because she doesn't know what to do. She can't just leave Hiroshi there. But she doesn't know Hiroshi's address too. She is at a loss. In the end, she decides to take him to her house.

She picked up Hiroshi. To her surprise, he was comparatively less heavy than she imagined. Well, that's because of his malnutrition. She takes him to her house and laid him on the futon. She checked for his temperature and other stuff to make sure he wasn't sick. Seems like he wasn't sick.

When he was unconscious, he saw that dream again. He started breathing heavily and then woke up. He saw Yuki sitting beside him. She also noticed that he woke up. At first, Hiroshi exercised caution. He tried to back up, but his body wasn't following his order. He was too weak to even get up. Yuki noticed it.

"Don't worry. I'm not going to kill you.", She assured him.

She got up and went to the kitchen. She was making soup for him to gain the energy to stand up again. As she was going, she said,

"I'm sorry to ask you such a foolish question back then. You don't want you past to be shared, right? Besides, you have a really dark past, seeing that you fell unconscious just by remembering them."

Well, that was actually true.

Looking around Yuki's house, she lives in an apartment. Most probably rented. It is pretty small. It also seems that Yuki lives alone. There was no signs of her parents in her room.

As he was looking around lying, food came. She finished making the soup and served him a bowl. How long has it been for Hiroshi to eat something healthy? It surely has been a very very long time.

He regained some energy to get up and eat for his own. He took the bowl with gratitude. As he drank, he was amazed. It was delicious. He hasn't eaten something like this for a while. Before he knew it, he already finished his first bowl, but he was too shy to ask for seconds.

"You want more I see.", Yuki said.

Hiroshi was embarrassed,"Was it that obvious?"

"It was."

He noticed something. He saw her smiling for the first time. Well, he saw her smile in front of people, but those were fake smiles. The smile that she was giving now was feeling somewhat real. Well, that's because, it was the first time for anyone to ask her for seconds. She felt like her cooking was recognised by at least one people. She was happy, very happy.

But asking for seconds isn't very uncommon, right? But for Yuki, it was. Her ex was a playboy and was very abusive to her. He didn't like her cooking and often times even threw away her hard-worked cooking. But the Yuki of the past was weak, so she couldn't do anything about it, nor could she break up, because she was scared for her life. Thats why she was very happy.

Hiroshi ate to his full. Seems like his unconsciousness wasn't a curse for him that day. He decided to leave the house as it felt illegal to stay at a girl's place for such a long time. Although he kills people which is also illegal...

As he was walking out, Yuki also decides to follow him.

"What are you doing?", Hiroshi said.

"Making sure you go home safely."

"I'm not a kid, you know?"

"If you were to fall unconscious again, then?"

"I guess there is no choice."

They were walking down the road to Hiroshi's house. Both were silent, but Hiroshi decided to break this silence.

"You asked me before that why I killed people. Well, my mother fell in love with my father when they were in high school...."

Hiroshi briefly told Yuki about his past. He didn't told her much. But Yuki was still surprised. She said,

"Why do you trust me so much?"

"Its not for trust that I told you my story. It's because we are both Quixotic Predators that people hate. We both share a dark past. Besides, even if you were to know my past, you wouldn't do much about it, right?"

"What if I did?"

"What would you do? Tell it to the police?"

"Well, you are right. I couldn't do anything."

"My house is close enough from here. You can go now."

"But you might still fall unconscious."

"Instead of worrying about me, you should worry about yourself. What if some kidnappers try to kidnapped you in the middle of the night?"

"Im also a Quixotic Predator, you know?"

"Thats true."

She went away. Hiroshi also went to his home. He jumped straight into his bed. That's because previously, his past memories were blurry. But he felt like now those memories was as vivid as yesterday. He could remember everything. Was it a dream? What actually happened before Hiroshi turned out the way he is now? Where is his father? His mother was dead, but his father must be alive, right? Where is he now? Sometimes, Hiroshi wondered about these questions. But now, he got the answer to those questions.
