Tell Me More about your World

Aiko entered the Inn, followed by a little bell, I soon followed behind her. A wholesome old lady with white hair and glasses greeted us in the lobby, “Oh hello there! A young couple I see? I got the perfect room!”

With quick action, “No! Miss, separate- “ before Aiko could mutter another word the lady began speaking. “Your first time being alone with your boyfriend? No need to be a nervous young lady! Follow me!” Aiko let out a loud sigh and followed the wholesome lady upstairs, reaching the second story of the inn. “Room 10, for the both of you, here are the keys-" Aiko was finally able to speak, "Miss! Separate rooms! and this is not my boyfriend!" exclaimed Aiko.

"Oh, well I truly apologize, but this is the only room we have available tonight! If you wish, you can always request another room tomorrow!" explained the old lady, "and my name is Miss. Annora, owner of the Annoria Inn." 

"My name is Aiko, this is Apollo, we will only be here for a night, so no need to switch rooms." as Aiko handed her the bag of money. "Goodie! Tomorrow when you two wake up, breakfast will be ready in the eating room! Have a good night you two!" as Miss Annora quickly darted off with the bag of money. 

Aiko let out a huge sigh and opened the door, revealing a small room with a single bed. “Ugh this is just great!” Aiko called out. “I mean I’m okay- “Aiko proceeded to slap me in the face as hard as she could, echoing the hallway. “You’re sleeping on the floor, don’t even let your virgin thoughts get to you. Let me change first before you come in.” 

Aiko walks into the room, closes the door, and locks it behind her. I soon hear the words "Enchant: Inventory" like a spell was being casted. Silence proceeded for the next few minutes, until I realized she could have easily locked the door on me and went to sleep. While I was raising my arm to knock on the door, the door unlocked and swung open, and I hit Aiko by mistake. “Dude!? Ouch? Why would you do that?” I quickly said “it was an accident I’m sorry- “ again, I was cut off by Aiko’s beautiful black hair, as I could see its full potential. She was now wearing a black nightgown and sitting on the bed. “You’re lucky I am too tired to do anything.” She made her way to the singular bed and sat down, “Where will I be sleeping?” I muttered. “On the floor.” 

“Can I at least ask you some questions before you go to sleep?” I asked, as Aiko laid herself in the bed. “Tomorrow, we will wake up and eat breakfast, you can ask me all the questions you want.” As she quickly went into a deep slumber. I laid down on the hardwood floor and stared at the ceiling. That is when I started to develop questions for tomorrow. The overwhelming thought of coming up with questions for Aiko caused me to follow her in a deep slumber.

My vision opened up, and I could see all my friends at the bar table drinking. "Hey! Apollo, I think you should come with us back to the dorms, you are too drunk." demanded one of my friends. "Yeah come with us!" demanded one of my other friends. What? Why am I back at the bar all of a sudden, and why do they care about me? I thought. I nodded my head and followed them to the exit. It was bright, and I entered-

“Time to get up!” as I slowly opened my eyes to a bright sunny room. A figure of a female entered my view. Confused at first, I had forgotten what events took place a day before, I shot right up to my feet, in pain. “Wake up, it is time for breakfast.” Aiko was wearing her usual gothic dress, does that mean she changed in front of me while I was sleeping? I started to blush. “What are you red for?” as Aiko looked at me while I was getting up off the floor. 

Aiko left the room, and I shortly followed her. My back was in so much pain, I started to make funny faces, “Are you okay Apollo?” I nodded my head and we continued. "I wonder what my friends are doing right now without me." I wondered, "probably living their best lives without me." We reached the first floor and headed towards the eating room. The smell of fruit, bread, and oats began using its spell against me, luring me. 

The eating room was like a buffet, filled with lots of hungry mouths. We grabbed a bowl and got in line. There was bread, jelly, some type of white cheese, dark meat, and fruits available for everyone. I grabbed everything I could and headed to an empty table. Aiko sat down with me, and I munched on all the food, almost choking.

“Slow down dude, if you want more you can go get more” Aiko said concerningly as she sat down in front of me. I noticed Aiko's near empty bowl, "Aren't you going to get more food?" I asked. "It is custom for people like me to enjoy small portions, however we enjoy large portions during lunch and dinner." 

"People like you?" I thought to myself, and then I remembered about the questions I wanted to ask. Before I could say anything, Aiko beat me to it. “So, you wanted to ask me something?”

I dug my face into the bowl, and ate every crumb, it was so delicious. I put the bowl down, and my stomach continued to growl back at me. I looked at Aiko, and she gave me a confused smile, "You can go get some more if you want." 

I got up and bolted back to the buffet line, grabbed even more food this time around, and quickly returned back to the table, "Yes, I do have some questions to ask." I finally answered.

As I grabbed some food from my bowl, “What is this world?” I mumbled with a full mouth of food. Aiko then proceeded to answer my most important question with a serious tone.
