Chapter 4:

Bad news

Imagination

“I have a bad news. They… They have got him” said a dwarf, moving his hands around his long beard that touched the ground, a concern in his eyes.

It was a cave with bright green glowing stoned pointing out of the walls, and at its centre there was a rock throne, on which was sitting a young man in his mid-25 man wearing a furry coat with a huge collar and thick boots, his hair brown and messy, and a very cunning face with a scar on his cheek.

“Didn’t Zyltsy give him the message?” he asked, a bit frustrated, “It was planned that he will call him as his friend Nagi and tell him to come to that spot, where I would have met him. What went wrong?”

“He did as you said, Master Gagarblue, but the boy got the dice before that” said the dwarf, and went on to explain the rest.

“So now they even have the dice!” said the man, “Damn you Mungus!” he paused for a moment and said, “But where did that dice come there from in the first place? I thought it was in the-”

“Inventory” interrupted another voice, and he instantly knew who he was. He looked at him and bowed, “Master Z!”

The dwarf also bowed.

“Get your heads up people!” said the middle-aged man with a smile, “We’ve got bigger problems than you respecting me!”

“Master I… I…” the man stuttered, “I’m sorry, I couldn’t complete the task” and couldn’t meet his eyes with the man in shame.

Master Z sighed, tuned to the dwarf and said, “Please excuse us Sir Kruiger, I want to have a one to one talk with Gagarblue”

“All right sir” said the dwarf, pulled out a wand from his chest pocket and waved it, and then vanished into the air.

“I’m so sorry Master!” said the man, but strangely, now he looked like he was holding his laugh back.

“You can let go Gagarblue” said Master Z, smiling.

“Phuahahahahahaha!” the man suddenly threw his head up and bursted out laughing, “You should have seen his face! Hahahahaha!”

“You really are a good actor Gagarblue!” said the man, “If you were in the normal human world you could have become a better actor than Irfan Khan”

“Hehe don’t flatter me!” said the man, “But I prefer Nawazuddin Siddqui better. You should have seen his acting in Badlapur”

“Sorry, I’ve not seen it yet” said mid-aged man, and both chatted and laughed patting their shoulders like old friends.

“But won’t you ask why I let them take the kid?” asked Gagarblue.

“Have I ever questioned your methods?” asked back Master Z, “Even though many a times they are beyond my understanding”

“Well, you will know when time comes”

“Just don’t go too hard on him, he’s just a boy”

“He’s 16!” said Gagarblue, “When you were 16 you killed a Basilisk with a brass sword! This little cry-baby can’t even talk to girls”

“Well” said Master Z, “Fate has chose him to be the match, which means he is destined for greatness way beyond not just me but everyone”

“Yeah, fate really must have a bad choice. I would have chosen someone warrior type if I could” said Gagarblue, rolling his eye, to which Master Z just smiled.

“Anyways, if you are wondering why I did the ‘Zyltsy sending the coordinated and calling the boy to the spot as Nagi’ thing in the first place if I planned for the boy to be caught, it will start a domino-effect which will, soon you will see, have a huge effect later”

Suddenly a notification sound came out of his clothes and he pulled out his phone, saying, “We have good network even in these mountains. Normal humans are amazing.”

He looked at the screen, and a smile spread across his face. It was a news article.

“See?” he said, showing it to Master Z, “The domino-effect has already begun!”
