Under One Roof

The two girls are picking on the stranger I met yesterday.

I have this strong urge to help her out but then again she is just a stranger whom I just met yesterday I don't know if I should be  inviting in a new prolem.

As I am arranging my thoughts the drops turn into heavy rain and the two girls leave  soon after it starts raining.

I walk towards her."You okay?",I ask her out of concern.

She weras a surprised look on her face as if not expecting me to be there.

Well I was not expecting myself to be there too.

"Yeah i am okay" she replies. 

 i take off my jacket and lead the way as the rain grows stronger.

The clouds are black' filled with water. It appears like midnight though its just 4:00am.

We find shelter in what looks like a abandoned building .

 We make ourselves in and close the windows and doors to lock the rain water out.

Its very dark in here, and the silence makes it very awkward between us.

we are completely wet from rain. Its cold and dark.

"why were you there earlier?" she asks breaking the silence"oh, I was on my way back to school ." I say

"who were those girls?" I ask her though I never take any interest in other people business but she doesn't feel like a stranger to me.

"oh them? I had some incomplete business with them." she says

With that answer I am sure she dosen't want me to know what she was doing there. I won't ask anymore if she doesn't want to tell me.

There is a loud bang of thunder, its a storm out there. 

Good thing that we found a shelter right away.

I see some furniture wood lying around' guess that could help making a fire.After gathering a considering amount we lit the pack of wood. It dosen't feel cold as much as 

before.

oh I almost forgot again- "what is your name?" I ask her intently.

"hmm..... wanna guess?"

what sort of a joke is that ?

"ohk I was just kidding, but do you really don't remember me?"

"I dont think we have met" i reply.

"Aera, Park Aera ; my name" are the words  that escape her her lips. leaving me flabbergasted.

There is no way she is her, the Park Aera I know was never so beautiful,  she was the most tomboyish girl in the block who took on two boys if possible, who always wore boys clothes and hung out with us.

 

In short she was pretty much a gang leader. But that was around when we were seven. 

Soon after her father left to the country side to open a Business of a restaurant.

"Are you surprised?  I recognised you right away  cause you are stiil a attention magnet as you 

were  back then but it hurts me to see that you couldn't."she says pouting. 

I mean who could, she got a whole freaking glow up. 

I am already too stunned to speak.

"How come you are in this tow though? Weren't you supposed to be in the city? how is your father's dozo going its een a while since I met him too".

My father's dozo was what drew us together 10 years ago. She was pretty much invinsible back then and was of couse my father's favourite student cause she could fight the best among all. 

But I won't be sure about now.

"oh, yeah he is in the city running his same business" 

"oh  I see" she says,

"what about your mother?" 

"oh yeah they split up,"

"what?? when??" she asks surprised.

"about two years ago , she remarried and moved abroad with her new husband"

"oh  I am sorry" 

"no its ok, it was meant to happen anyway" 

There is a silence for a while until she asks me about him.
