Chapter 3:

Chapter 3

The Pain You Never Know

Theodore and Howard, Date's uncles, had taken on the task of driving him to his new high school on his first day. Eager to make a great impression, Date had carefully picked out his outfit, ironed his shirt, and meticulously styled his hair. In the car, the anticipation and nerves were palpable. The two uncles exchanged knowing glances, realizing this was a crucial moment in Date's life.

As they approached the school, a flash of vibrant blue caught Date's attention. He turned his head, captivated by the sight of a girl with striking blue hair, standing near the entrance. She exuded confidence and mystery, an enigmatic aura that immediately intrigued him. Date's heart began to race, and he forgot all about his uncles sitting beside him.

Theodore and Howard, noticing Date's sudden distraction, followed his gaze. They exchanged concerned glances, realizing the gravity of the situation. To them, this was both a moment of worry and pride. They knew they had to handle it delicately to prevent any unnecessary embarrassment for their beloved nephew.

Understanding the allure of young love and the excitement of new beginnings, Theodore softly cleared his throat. "Hey, Date," he said gently, "we're almost at the entrance. You ready for this?"

Date snapped out of his trance, guiltily looking at his uncles. "Yeah, sorry. I got distracted for a moment."

Howard, always the joker, chuckled. "Oh, we understand, young man. Your heart can't be tamed forever, especially on the first day of high school." He winked playfully at Date, attempting to ease the tension.

Date blushed, grateful for his uncles' understanding, but still unable to shake off his curiosity about the blue-haired girl. "I can't stop thinking about her. She looked so unique and different. Do you think I could ever get a chance to talk to her?"

Theodore smiled at Date's enthusiasm. "Well, love, at first sight, can be powerful," he said. "But remember, it's essential to focus on your studies and make friends too. We want you to succeed at school."

Date nodded, finding wisdom in Theodore's advice. "You're right, Uncle Theo. I'll try my best to balance everything."

As they pulled up to the school's entrance, Date took a deep breath, mentally preparing himself for this new chapter. He stepped out of the car, with his uncles standing by his side, their unwavering support evident. But despite their reassurances, Date's eyes inevitably wandered back towards the blue-haired girl, who had mysteriously disappeared into the bustling crowd.

Theodore and Howard exchanged amused glances, understanding the inevitable adventure that their dear nephew was about to embark on. As Date made his way towards his high school, ready to face the unknown, he held onto the hope that someday, he would cross paths with the girl who had sparked his curiosity.

Little did he know that this encounter would mark the beginning of an extraordinary journey, one that would not only shape his high school experience but also teach him valuable lessons about love, friendship, and the importance of following his dreams.

(Time Skip: Few Minutes later)

Date Makoto nervously walked through the crowded hallways of KAIISEL UNIVERSITY. It was his first day, and the building seemed like a maze filled with students bustling about. Clutching his class schedule tightly, he scanned the numbers on the classroom doors, desperately trying to find his destination.

The minutes passed, and Makoto's anxiety began to grow. The school bell rang, signaling the start of the day, leaving him feeling more lost than ever. Students hurried to their respective classrooms, leaving him behind, feeling like an outsider in this unfamiliar place.

Just as Makoto was about to give up and accept his fate of being late on his first day, he noticed a girl with vivid blue hair standing by a classroom door. Something about her presence caught his attention. She seemed different from the other students. Her passionate gaze held a spark of curiosity and kindness.

Summoning his courage, Makoto approached the girl tentatively. "Excuse me, I'm new here," he said, his voice tinged with unease. "I can't seem to find my classroom."

The girl turned to face him, her eyes filled with warmth. "Oh, don't worry," she replied, her voice melodious. "I can help you find it. What class are you looking for?"

Makoto handed her his schedule, and she glanced at it, her eyes scanning the paper. "Funny enough, we're actually in the same class," she said with a cheerful smile. "Follow me."

Relieved and grateful, Makoto followed the blue-haired girl as she gracefully weaved through the bustling hallway. He couldn't help but feel a sense of ease and comfort as they walked side by side. Her confident strides and friendly conversation began to ease his nerves, and the intimidating school gradually transformed into a place of possibility.

As they entered the classroom, Makoto felt a sense of belonging wash over him. He realized that sometimes, in the midst of uncertainty, there are people who come into our lives to guide us and make us feel at home. The blue-haired girl had become his guiding light.

The problem is that, Makoto and the girl he met were in the same section for study hall every day, but they never really talked. That all changed one day when Makoto finally found the courage to ask if the girl wanted to talk after school. Just as he asked, the bell rang for the end of the school day.

Leah looked puzzled but accepted his invitation. As they walked to a nearby park, Makoto nervously filled the silences with random facts and stories about himself. Once they finally reached the park they found a quiet bench and sat together in the shade of a tall maple tree.

The girl was unsure of what to say and Makoto was too apprehensive to start a conversation. Finally, Makoto mustered the courage to ask her if they could be friends. The girl smiled and said yes.

Makoto smiled when he heard this answer, he asked the girl’s name and her name was Leah Popova. She’s half Norwegian and Russian, Date smiled grew wider knowing that his first day of high school were getting interesting one by one.
